Carl had Lillim open a portal to the SAT-Station, stepping through to alarms, shocked faces and people pointing weapons at him.
"I'm already pissed with the committee, why don't you open the fucking gate to Pluto and get out of my way before I make you wish I was my Grandma?"
"Carl!? Seriously, since when do you threaten people?" one of the guards asked, a look of genuine shock and fear born of uncertainty.
"When the committee let Dracula rip my mum's arm off, yeah pretty sure that's it."
All the guards faltered, then one of the consoles beeped and a gate flickered to life and a portal crackled into being.
"Carl... The committee has opened a door for you and eagerly awaits your presence." The operator said with a voice of uncertainty.
"You gonna lower the weapons, or make a mistake?" Carl asked with a cold tone that made the guards who knew him incredibly nervous.
They all lowered their weapons and Carl walked past them and through the portal.
As he disappeared and the portal crackled shut behind him, those left behind all stared at each other in silence.
"Seriously, Dracula, does that mean they fought of an actual legend?"
"Shut up, the important thing is if they really let Madam Director Leanna get hurt like that..."
"Yeah, she might have announced her resignation, but served loyally, made this place better for everyone, and they just turned their back on her?"
"Hope I'm never in trouble... If they won't help her, then there is no way they're helping anyone else..."
"They didn't even let us know...."
"They just hoped Dracula killed them all and saved their reputation."
"Seriously, Carl was always harmless, known him since he was ten and never seen him like that before. Never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad they had Lillim on hand."
"Not to mention the fox and the three powerhouses of the equality movement."
"Did you guys seriously not sense that? I'd have thought it was obvious to even non-sensory types... Carl might actually be stronger than those three were back then..."
"Wait a minute, speaking of Carl's power, where was Squidge and that new pet of his?"
The stunned and increasingly appalled and confused crowd were rendered silent when one of the consoles beeped again.
---As soon as he arrived on Pluto---
Carl stepped onto Pluto and arrived in a wall of aura, that he completely neutralised as he formed his newly his barriers first layer.
"CARL! Give me back my soul damn you!" Carl recognised the sound of Plutinas' voice immediately.
"Sorry, put it to use in making my youngest. Did Venusiah not tell you, or you just too stupid to comprehend the fact you fucked up."
"Don-"
"If you're just gonna stand there staring, let's make it a contest."
Levi's eyes snapped open and she appeared, howling with enough ferocity to rip his soul out and Squidge appeared and grew to his five-headed hydra form and whipped him into walls and juggled him between his heads.
Carl walked over and stripped an entire arm off of his soul, then offered it up to Levi.
Just as she consumed it, Jupiterran appeared once more.
"I see I was too late this time..."
"No, he's still alive... Just. Squidge, you don't eat rubbish, you throw it away."
Squidge twisted to the left then lashed the head holding the soulless vessel as harshly as possible to the right and released him.
Plutinas' body smashed into the transparent viewing section and cracked it heavily, making them all hold their breath as they waited to see if it was completely compromised. Which was when Carl made Jupiterran even more nervous.
"Tiamutael, if the glass shatters, rescue your brother and sister. I don't need to worry about a vaccum so if it happens I'll stay and consider diplomacy a no-go."
"Your very different from when we spoke last..."
"I'm very pissed you never warned my mum..."
"Of course... Come with me, leave that one to die, it will save our leader the trouble."
"Trouble? It's so easy for mortals to die though. Especially at the hands of the one who managed to keep his immortality." Carl dragged what was left of his soul and looked between his armlet and the wrecked body of Plutinas'
"Carl... Personally I think the universe would be better without him, but kill him and there won't be a chance for diplomacy with the others."
Carl shrugged, then walked over to the body leaking divinity and blood. "I suppose he'll have to endure having divinity channels restored if he lives." Carl forced the soul into its vessel then stood over him. "I'll take anything you raise against me or my faction for good from now on, so lay there and think about how short you want life to be."
Plutinas' was only silent because his throat had been crushed, only still because his body was shattered.
Jupiterran walked over and opened a portal. "I agree, remember how badly you lost to him, you're a long way from being the warrior you used to be." He grabbed his collar and stepped through the portal with him, then returned.
"Why don't we go see the others then. I trust Masian is well? How about Venusiah?"
"They are both well, yes... Venusiah has been rambling to herself whenever she is alone, something about a new dragon god..."
"Well I'm not happy about her treating my youngest son like a nightmare."
Jupiterran hesitated, then began walking. "The last time you was here, you expressed interest in some of the decorations, would you like to take the more scenic route and calm down a little before meeting the others."
"Actually that sounds both practical and enjoyable..."
Jupiterran nodded, a slight half-smile threatening to emerge...
Jupiterran led him down a hall slightly different from the one they took last time, passing another image of the lost-city called London. "You said you were from there, didn't you? I didn't think about it last time, but I'm from the same place."
"Really, is the river to the north or south of where you were raised?"
"Not far south, about a twenty minute walk when I was a child. I remember looking to the right you could see some kind of large ruins and the remains of a bridge jutting out of the water. To the left there were the remains of another bridge."
"If that ruin you're talking about was the tower of London, sounds like you were raised in a place once called whitechapel."
"Was it known for anything?"
Jupiterran laughed. "Nothing particularly good ever stood out. There was a famous killer, they called him Jack the Ripper, went around killing prostitutes in the late nineteenth-century."
"Well then, guess I have to be something good to come from there."
"It's nice to see a human take pride in their origins and want to improve their homeland's reputation... If more of us thought like that, the gods and immortals might not have destroyed everything."
Jupiterran continued the tour, coming to various artworks and recovered earth relics, the two taking time to discuss several pieces. One such piece was one of the loud, polluting vehicles they saw in the past on two-wheels.
"I can't believe we used to get about on these horrific things, loud, foul and completely impractical."
"You speak like someone who has a better solution." His guide said with a sense of curiosity.
Carl unclipped his hilt and willed it into a two-wheeled vehicle. "I do, a half-gnome called Alysse, she's a bit obsessed with nanites these days."
"So it was a vehicle, I was waiting for you to move for it as a weapon."
"Not unless I want to run you over. I don't need weapons, my kids are very protective."
"I noticed... I would have asked you to leave them behind if I thought it made a difference. Why didn't you just portal into the meeting room like you did before?"
"Simple, what if I got there and no one was there? What If the idiot caused a scene and the others weren't as willing to see him ripped apart like the idiot he is? It made more sense to go through the proper channels."
"Well you're considering the situation a diplomatic issue at least. For what it's worth, I genuinely believe we could work together... Do you know where the hybrid prejudice was born?"
"I've heard a few things. The first I heard was my grandmother's massacre, the second was that hybrids can't be controlled by anything less than a ten-star of the species, that means you lot can't exert any influence."
"Both points are true. There is another reason, we can't completely restore the universe to how it used to be whilst there are individuals who have a place in two worlds."
"By the laws, you guys are stupid... Lillim herself has a place in both worlds, almost every demon has a place in two worlds. The worlds interacting has been a fact since before humans even existed. It's the fact humans exist outside of the natural order that caused Margo to start this damn game."
Jupiterran side-eyed him, measuring his words, sensing no lies or even omissions...
