S-Rank Reaper Korvessa, AKA The witch of the west.
She had a dangerously beautiful face with sharp features, violet black hair flowing like sentient smoke and amazingly matched eyes that were mismatched: one gold, the other purple, both glowing with power. Her lips were dark and alluring, curved in a knowing smirk.
Her figure, pure hourglass shape, tight waist, full curves wrapped in a deep violet corset trimmed with black lace that shows just enough to be tempting. One slit in her skirt revealed a toned thigh and lace stokings.
Her aura crackled with Mage magic, looking like an awakened who could truly destroy or enchant you with the same spell.
The air felt like it split into pieces, and a low hum rolled through the battlefield— something raw and definitely divine. The ground cracked open slightly in purple patterns that pulsed to the rhythm of her instruction.
The flames that had lingered from my earlier attacks were instantly snuffled out. The undead Dazzai summoned began to crumble mid roar, their twisted forms collapsing into the dust before they even hit the ground..
The violet waves rippled outward, swallowing everything in its path.
I could feel it, the vibration crawling through my nerves, shaking my very Arcane core like it was being dismantled molecule by molecule.
It was some kind of erasing spell, much like the combination of my Repel and Attract spacial techniques but this time it didn't use spacial matter, it used pure Arcane energy.
Dazzai screamed over the soundless storm, his voice tearing though the oppressive quiet. "I am a Thornhill blo….."
His words broke off immediately a pulse of sound struck him dead center.
His body convulsed as the aura around him shattered into a thousand sparks. He tried to summon his gravefield again, but the skill of Korvessa had already invaded his circuits, unweaving his Arcane energy before it could even form.
I have seen quick dismantling before, hell I had caused it too. But this… this was swift and for it to be so effective against someone who is of S-Rank status.
My pets had already retreated behind me in fear. Even Egar, who had fought with unshaken defiance moments ago, whimpered low, its body trembling.
Dazzai's body hit the ground, motionless with his blade cracked and his aura gone with his minions too,
Vice chancellor Elara Voss landed beside her, her voice calm but edged with urgency. "You overdid it again."
Korvessa didn't look away from the noble sons broken state. "If I hadn't, he would've killed the boy."
Both their eyes met and silent understanding passed between them.
Dazzai groaned in pain as he struggled to get up, his face twisted with anger.
"You'll regret this," he spat. "The Thornhill family won't forget this insult."
As Dazzai scuffed to his feet in defeat, the area fell silent once again. But just as I began to catch my breath, a sudden rumble shook the ground beneath me.
From the canopy of the trees that overshadowed the walking path, several figures emerged, men clad in dark amor with their presence immense power.
There were at least seven of them, one of them stood out with a more regal clothing that suggested he was the leader. They stood protectively around Dazzai Thornhill surveying the environment with keen focus.
"Tell of yourselves…" Dazzai intoned as he regain his footing, dusting off debris from his body while still maintaining intense eye contact with Korvessa and Vice Chancellor Elara Voss.
"You have crossed the Thornhill Family… Levi, we are the Seven Knights of the Thornhill family, tasked with the protection and upholding the will of our heir… Lord Dazzai…"
"...Lord Dazzai considers you as a threat to his safety, therefore we have no choice other than to eliminate you from existence…"
The leaders said coldly, with his dead eyes locked onto me.
My heart pounded in my chest, these were no ordinary opponents, I could feel the overwhelming power radiating from them, power that far surpassed my own.
But before the Thornhill Knights could strike, Korvessa stepped forward with a flaring violet power swirling around her.
"If you want to eliminate the boy, you'll have to go through me," the Reaper said, her voice calm but still firm as much to impose authority.
The tension in the air was palpable as the two side prepared for what was to come. The ground cracked with tension as the Thornhill knights spread their legs preparing to eliminate me.
From what I could see, the knights were all Terramancers and had the elemental ability to control earth at their will. Their leader, a tall, imposing man with deep, intimidating eyes stepped forward, his aura exuding immense power.
He was cleary at the top of his ranks, far beyond the level of ordinary awakened.
"The Thornhill family doesn't tolerate any insolence or challenge from common folk with no noble blood…"
I felt the overwhelming pressure of their presence but I still stood my ground, and both of the strongest awakened women I know were with me, so even though the Thornhill knights felt intimidating, I had a life line.
Within this few minutes I spent fighting undead. I had leveled up, gaining more power and now I had unlocked the ability to summon more than one pet at once— although at the expense of my Arcane reserves.
Ding!

I could feel the change immediately.
My body felt lighter, my reflexes sharper and the flow of my movements more fluid than ever before. My agility was now a force to be reckoned with.
But as I prepared to face the new threat, Vice Chancellor Elara Voss stepped walked over and stepped in front of me.
She was calm, commanding and her presence was reassuring.
"Enough," Elara said, her voice cold but steady. "This nonsense fight ends now."
The head of the Thornhill knights replied with a dark chuckle, his deep eyes scanning Elara dismissively before his gaze shifted back to me.
"So, the great fallen saint finally decides to show her face," the leader said, his tone dripping with arrogance.
"I thought you were done playing hero after your little accident with the Hoseki…"
Elara's eyes narrowed slightly, but she didn't rise to take the bait.
I and my siblings, even Dazzai listened closely as the knight's leaders words hung in the air.
The concept of the Hoseki was like an urban legend throughout the city of Cindralock, with most people thinking it was totally a lie and a story told by parents to avoid their children from enrolling into the Reaper school.
From the moment someone entered the Hoseki, the 50 year gate that no one has manged to seal, they never returned the same. Most people who came back lost one or two limbs, others were so terrified they required so much therapy that they had to retire.
I had no idea the Vice Chancellor herself had been into that hellish portal, and to think someone as powerful as her left the gate scared.
However, it turns out the Vice Chancellor didn't leave the Hoseki unharmed, she obtained an injury that prevented her from continuing being a Reaper, cutting her carrier short and then she transitioned to being the Vice Chancellor of her alma mata.
"You're not as invincible as you think, Thornhill knight… from where I stand, you're just a subordinate to a childish teenage boy who can't handle loosing" Elara said, her voice low but still filled with authority.
"And you will not harm Levi or anyone under his protection." Korvessa chipped in.
The knight leader sneered. "Protection? You couldn't even protect your own body, let alone this brat..."
Elara didn't respond to the insult. Instead, she raised her hand and a massive wave of pressure flooded the entire area.
The sheer weight of the Vice Chancellors power was undeniable, even in her weakened state.
For a moment, it felt as if the air itself had been squeezed tight, leaving no room to breathe.
The knights leaders eyes narrowed and though he still wore a smug expression, I could sense a slight hesitation.
The power differential between the leader and the Vice Chancellor might not have been as wide as the leader believed.
Seeing this, the knights of the Thornhill family stepped forward, their combined power creating even more cracks in the surronding earth, showcasing their Terramancy.
It was clear they were prepared to back him up, even if it meant clashing with someone of high status such as the Vice Chancellor.
But before things could escalate further, Dazzai Thornhill stepped forward, placing a hand on the knights leaders shoulder. "We've made our point, Jaded," the noble son said queitly. "Let it go. We are cleary out matched as it is…"
The knights leader clenched his jaw, his pride wounded, but he had to listen to orders from his superior and he finally nodded.
"Very well your grace, whatever is your wish…"
With that, the Thornhill family withdrew, leaving behind an air of tension and unresolved conflict.
As they disappeared into the distance, Lady Elara Voss let out a breath, the pressure in the air dissipating along with her power.
I was still shaken, and so were my siblings. Turning to the Vice Chancellor I relayed words of appreciation and thanks for her intervention.
She nodded, but her expression remaind serious. "You've made a powerful enemy today Levi, the Thornhill family are one the most influencial families in all of the country and they control virtually all of the city of Drakensport…"
"Be cautious, don't forget… they may have retreated for now, but knowing Dazzai, he won't forget this in a hurry,,,"
My heart pounded, the weight of the Vice Chancellors words sinking in…
