Han was feeling very anxious. He had never, since the day he began serving her, seen Lady Pelica in the current situation she found herself.
Since she could speak, he assumed and assured himself that she could take care of herself, at least for a while. He turned his attention to the room and raised his hands.
His holographic body solidified once again and with a wave of his hand, an arcane diagram of dark purple flared to life as he completely locked down the room.
Nothing could attack now with surprise and if such an attack did come, it would find it hard to penetrate the room. He even layered shields against spirits.
"My Lady, are you alright?" Han asked.
She sat up with a little struggle, her body covered in sweat but worst of all, dark cracks began to appear on her as if her body was made of ceramics.
Of all the things that had happened, it was the cracks that completely shocked Han. He looked at Lady Pelica as if he was seeing something that was impossible.
For the first time, fear appeared in his eyes and he whispered softly. "What exactly did you see, my Lady?"
Lady Pelica turned to face him, her eyes melted away with the goggles. What remained was solidified metal that had fused with her flesh. "I saw.....I saw a god. A god sitting on a mountain and he is the largest thing I have ever seen."
"HE. HE is bigger than life!"
She shivered. "I... my body is breaking down. Thankfully, it did not reach my soul as I immediately wiped away my memory of what I saw exactly."
Han shuddered in turn. "You even have to erase your memories? But... my Lady. You are strong."
He said the last part with a flat certainty. If she was not strong, then would he not have killed her a long time ago? Han would never have served in place.
She laughed. "Of course I am strong. But being strong is nothing compared to the mysteries of a god. What I saw is a god. Galthor Stronghide is a true apostle. He is deeply favored by a god."
Han froze. "So... it was not a demon. The barbarian god is truly here? A barbarian god?"
Lady Pelica smiled and raised her two hands. All the relics on her began to float and hover in the air in front of her. "Yes. And from the vague feeling I am getting, he is not about to exert his influence into the world like the other gods.
"But he is so glorious and terrible. He is... I cannot explain. He is a god."
Han shivered. "This... this is going to turn the Divine World upside down. The demons and the gods. All the entities. Everything is going to go up in flames. The barbarians. They will make a comeback and they will be terrible."
Lady Pelica laughed. She stood up, pieces of her body falling to the floor. She spun around and laughed again like a mad person. "What race is not terrible now? What we should wish for is for the barbarian god not to be the last one that perished. Oh, such anger. The world will weep!"
Han bowed his head and remained silent for a while. "What should we do about the Stronghide?"
Lady Pelica smiled. "We cannot kill this god, Han. What I felt was only a fraction of what it is. And yes.... Han, we will give them our full support. If a new dancer is about to take the stage, it is better we dance with them."
Han nodded. But then his expression suddenly twisted, his eyes gained a light of insanity. He growled deep in his throat, a shroud of purple energy surrounded him and his power made the air quiver. "Your soul!"
Lady Pelica smiled. "You cannot eat me yet, Han. My soul is not here but you can eat this body, it has traces of my soul."
With that, her body collapsed, falling into different cracks on the ground.
Han returned to normal in an instant and he stared at the pieces on the ground with a thoughtful look on his face.
But before anything could be done, one of the relics still floating in the air, an earring, flared a bright light and a portal came to life in the room. From it Lady Pelica stepped out, her body whole as if it was not just destroyed a while ago.
"I did not think I would be needing a new vessel so soon. But I saw what I should not so it is only necessary." She waved her hands again and her relics returned to her person.
Han hesitated and then suddenly without restraint he jumped to the ground and with cracking sounds and the ripping sound of flesh tearing, he began to feast on the broken body on the ground.
Lady Pelica shook her head and sighed as she looked at the coffin. A mournful look on her face. "My prized relic."

When Galthor returned to his body, he felt a little smug that he had given that Lady a stinging bite. "At least she is going to take things more seriously from now on."
He stood up from his bed, no longer interested in sleeping. He went to his window and looked out at the night. He felt combinations of complicated emotions.
He felt anxiousness because he did not know what the future had for him and yet it was the same thing that excited him. Before, he knew what would happen in the future. He would sleep in bed and he would take his medication and food while he listened to audio books.
It was like that for him for the longest time.
But now, things had changed in the best way. Everything is unpredictable. New things are happening and new sights to see. New races to meet and new monsters to fight.
New powers to get.
He even learned how to be a god.
It was a bit too much but at the same time it was exactly what he had hoped and wished for.
"And now tomorrow, we hunt."
