Mecha Devourer System

Chapter 41: The Cafeteria Incident (II)

Pay 50 points to avoid a beating?

Everlearn only had 40.

For sure, he was getting beaten up to a pulp.

Not like he would have given out 50 points to them even if he had it, anyway.

In this situation, they did nothing wrong, and the actions of the second year were just pure tyranny.

Everlearn would never submit to that, though, he just continued eating as if none of this concerned him.

"Well, fuck you then!"

A newcomer said, grabbing a chair by the side and then,

BAAAAAANG!

It smashed diagonally across the air towards one of the second years, who punched upward at the chair, blasting it into pieces that scattered across the space.

The newcomer was grabbed by his neck before he could react, and in the next moment, he was raised up, his feet dangling in the air.

"You're the bold hero, huh. Hehehe..."

The 2nd year said with mockery, but in the next moment, that laughter was halted.

BAAANG!

A tail suddenly smashed into his face with blood spattering into the air as he dropped the boy to the ground, stepping back a couple of steps.

He raised his head, and one could see a deep diagonal wound across his face.

Everlearn raised an eyebrow as he watched a metallic scorpion-like tail appear from the boy's spine.

It was what had lashed onto the second year's face.

'He already fused with a Mech Module,' Everlern mused, surprised.

"You five against us twenty. Let's see who wins!"

The boy roared as he bolted toward the second year, and his courage was like a fuse that lit up everything.

Immediately, all the newcomers regained their courage, and they stormed after the second year, who also stepped forward.

In the next moment,

"HYYYAAAH"

"BANG!"

"FUCK YOU!"

"YOW!"

It was all screams and pain as chairs flew here and there.

Right behind everyone, though, was a peculiar sight that made most raise their eyebrows.

While the entire cafeteria was embroiled in a messy fight, there was a single person who sat far back, his lips slightly extended as he carefully sipped the soup from his plate.

"Who the fuck is that bastard?"

A student asked as eyes from the other end of the hall turned to none other than Everlearn.

Everlearn didn't move an inch.

His hand occasionally swept out, sliding away an approaching chair, while he occasionally ducked his head, dodging wooden strands from piercing into him.

[You sure you don't want to join in now?]

[Some are already managing to use the chaos to escape.]

The system panel blinked as Everlearn sipped his soup.

The system was right.

Some of the newcomers were already using the chaotic situation to open the glass door, and a couple had managed to escape.

But most of them were just getting beaten down.

The second years were second years for a reason, and they proved it right.

About ten newcomers were already on the ground, fully knocked out cold.

About four people had escaped, and six people were still fighting, only to be soon beaten down.

But the 2nd year students weren't completely unscathed.

Though none of the five were knocked out, they were heaving loudly, clearly exhausted, and covered in deep blood injuries.

When the last newcomer was taken down, three of the second years sat down to catch their breath while the only two looked around the room, before their wicked eyes turned to Everlearn, who blew the hot soup in his hands before taking a good sip of it.

The sight of him left them speechless, but what left them in even greater disbelief was when they noticed the peculiarity:

"A human!? Yo, this guy ain't even a Corer yet? Hahahaha!"

One of the second years burst out laughing, and the others quickly followed, erupting into laughter as well.

"No wonder he didn't join the fight. He would've been dead in seconds."

The other newcomers who were fortunate enough to be in the other glass space murmured.

But now, they were also curious:

How loudly will this poor human scream when his first bone gets broken?

One of the second years, the guy with the crimson hair walked forward toward Everlearn, unable to stop cackling in mockery.

He picked a chair by the side and took a seat before him.

Fuuuuu…

The sound of a little blow rang out as steam evaporated from the soup, and Everlearn took another sip, his eyes never leaving those crimson pupils staring at him.

"You know, I don't even blame you for just continuing eating, 'cause you're just here due to some shitty luck," the guy said as Everlearn swallowed the soup down his throat before he turned to look at his unconscious newcomer students and then turned back to the guy, saying:

"Now that they're unconscious, you can't even get their points. Why even bother?" he asked, and the guy grinned.

"Guess why?"

"'Cause you're bored?" Everlearn asked, watching the guy pause in shock.

"Wow, you're pretty sharp," he said.

The truth was, they weren't here for the newcomers' points.

They were second years and weren't lacking points.

What they wanted was to cause some trouble and maybe show a little dominance.

The main reason they even introduced the idea was because they were bored out of their minds.

"Now that you know we don't even want your points, can you already begin imagining your pain?" Crimson said, looking at Everlearn, who took another sip of his soup.

That just happened to be the last thing on his plate, and he exhaled in relief.

He hadn't eaten for so long, and now his stomach was filled.

It was a good feeling, and his mood was lightened a bit.

"You know there's something you don't know about yourself," Everlearn suddenly called out to Crimson, who paused his tightening fist beneath the table as he watched Everlearn clean his lips with the handkerchief.

"You mean how quick I can beat a dumb human to a pulp?" he asked, and Everlearn shook his head, putting the handkerchief away/

"Not really," he answered.

"It's your neck."

Crimson raised an eyebrow.

"My neck!?"

"Your Mech Modules encapsulate your entire lungs, but there's a slight misalignment in them."

"That's why your neck ball sticks out a little bit."

Everlearn as Crimso sat, unable to believe his ears.

That was a secret only he knows.

"Your neck must be really weak since I noticed you, who didn't seem to be bothered by the Newcomers' attack, kept trying so hard to avoid attacks to your neck at all costs."

Everlearn said.

Crimso moved.

VROOOOM!

The air flapped with speed as a punch slammed toward Everlearn's face, but it missed as Everlearn's head dodged to the side, the punch whirling past his ear.

CREEEAK!

The sound of metallic creaking rang out as Everlearn's fingers pierced forth like blades toward Crimson's neck.

BAAANNNG!

It connected smoothly, shifting Crimson back, and he rolled out the chair.

He rose up in the next instant, only for his hands to grip hard at his own neck.

A horrifying pain set in as Crimso's eyes turned full red with veins lurking out.

"You...bast..." He didn't finish that word before his eyes rolled to the back of his head, and in the next instant.

BAAAAAAANG

He collapsed onto the ground face-first.

"Huh? Hey Crimso, you oka..."

His mates checked on him, and when they did, their faces contorted in shock.

Crimso had been knocked out cold!
