The Rise Of The No. 1 Hunter

Chapter 110: DEMISE OF THE DARK KING

Meanwhile, Raito was still on the other side of the dungeon, locked in a brutal clash with the Black King.

Fury flashing in his eyes, the Black King raised his sword with full force and slashed toward Raito. Raito met the attack, blocking it with his dagger. The impact sent a roaring gust of wind down the dungeon corridor, rattling the stone walls and echoing like thunder.

The Black King leapt backward, pressing himself against the wall and activating his magic shield. Raito's eyes narrowed. He ran forward, dagger raised, and began slashing the shield relentlessly. In just two seconds, he had struck the shield nearly a thousand times.

"How is this possible?" the Black King growled, staggering under the relentless barrage. "In my previous world, ten of the strongest warriors tried to stop me. They fought to protect themselves from me since I was possessed with the Black Spirit. Most died, most were gravely injured… yet here you are, just one person, and you put me on edge even after I disabled your skill. How?"

Raito's movements never faltered, each strike precise and powerful, the shield's magic flickering under the assault. He finally paused, taking a steady breath.

"You asked a question. I'll answer it. It's simple," Raito said calmly. "I'm stronger than you. That's all there is to it."

With that, he raised his right hand, dagger gleaming, and struck the shield one final time. Suddenly, the magic barrier shattered and shot outward, scattering debris in every direction.

It Strike raito with it sword,

Raito divided into two. But it was only a foreshadow. He activated what he held, looking to his side. As Raito raised the dagger, he drove it straight into the Black King's neck.

The Black King shouted in rage, stumbling back. Raito didn't stop, he swung with his other hand, aiming for the monster's head, but the Black King countered with a brutal kick that sent Raito skidding backward.

Finally, this time, real blood was pouring.

Raito wiped the blood from his dagger, glaring at his opponent. "So you bleed," he said coldly. "You're still human, a freak. I don't care if you're possessed by some black spirit or whatever. You die."

He took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing. Kira's in danger. I have to finish this fast and get to her.

The Black King roared, raising his sword high. Dark energy pulsed from it as it screamed through the air, slamming toward Raito.

Raito met the blow head on, raising his dagger to block. The impact split the air, sending a shockwave through the dungeon. Then he twisted, pivoting sharply, his leg shot out in a back kick that sent the Black King crashing to the ground.

The monster tried to rise, but Raito was already moving. He lunged forward, striking again, but the Black King dodged, countering with a downward slash of its sword glowing in black energy.

Raito rolled aside, but not fast enough, its blade grazed his arm. He glanced down as the wound sealed itself before his eyes.

"How does it feel to injure me?" Raito said quietly. "I'm going to cut you into a million pieces."

Before the Black King could react, Raito vanished, his speed so fast the air cracked. In a single instant, his dagger flashed dozens of times. The Black King's body was sliced apart, torn into countless pieces before it even realized what happened. Blood scattered in the air, then its body faded into black dust.

A notification appeared before Raito's eyes.

『User has gained 20,000 LP』

『Skill acquired: Absolute Suppression ability to disable all system windows, skills, and stats』

『Skill acquired: Cursed Commandment user can force one player or ally to attack another』

Raito exhaled, lowering his weapon. "Not bad," he muttered.

He looked toward the three surviving hunters nearby. They were trembling but alive.

"Thank you," one said shakily. "You saved us. We thought we were done for,"

Raito cut him off, his tone sharp. "Don't say a word about what happened here. To anyone. Understood?"

"Yes, yes, understood!" the hunter stammered.

Raito turned away. "Good. Stay here. I'll be back."

He glanced down at his palm. Time to test my new skill.

He whispered, "Teleportation," thinking of Kira's location. His body dissolved into light.

In an instant, he appeared at another part of the dungeon, where Kira was locked in battle with the cursed spirit, a beautiful yet deadly woman.

Raito's eyes narrowed. She's still alive, but barely. That thing, she's toying with her.

He clenched his fist. I could end it with a single slash, but Kira needs this fight. She has to grow. I won't interfere, not yet.

"System," he whispered. "Activate Shadow Phase."

『Shadow Phase activated. User is now invisible.』

His mana, body heat, and presence vanished entirely. Silent and unseen, Raito watched from the shadows as the battle unfolded.

Raito stood there invisible, watching Kira. He had already made up his mind, he wasn't going to step in yet. Kira needed to grow.

Most of the time when he fought monsters stronger than himself, he only won by pushing past his limits. Even when it nearly cost him his life, he kept fighting, and he always won.

So he stayed silent, unseen, watching.

Kira charged at the cursed spirit, her sword glowing bright blue, the current of at least 10,000 volts dancing along its edge. She slashed forward, aiming straight for the cursed spirit's chest.

The cursed spirit jumped back, dodging, a wicked smile curling across her face. Kira smiled back, calm, determined.

Kira spun sharply and threw a kick. The cursed spirit moved to dodge, but it was a feint. In the same instant, Kira raised her sword high and slashed downward. The blade cut through the cursed spirit's arm, electricity vibrating through it. The severed limb fell to the ground and turned into pure blood.

The cursed spirit hissed, grabbing the dismembered arm with her other hand. Razor thin veins shot out from her fingertips, slicing through the air toward Kira's head.
