Jaden sat on the wooden floor as he used the mana absorption art to refill all of his depleted mana. While he was doing that, a familiar voice resounded in his head.

Jaden... get ready.

A wide grin broke out on his face as he heard the voice, and he mumbled, "I'll repay you somehow."

The badge at his chest began to glow white before he disappeared from the dorm room and appeared within the arcane library.

He opened his eyes and stared at the vast room filled with various glass boxes with spell books and martial manuals placed inside them.

Before the system could bombard him with messages, he ordered, 'Show me the spell books related to the mark branches.'

After finding out that Yuka could see everything that goes on within the academy he didn't feel safe speaking to the system.

A blue screen flickered before him.

[Found learnable magic spells [50] within the vicinity.]

A smile appeared on his face after he finished reading the message. The system had made it easier for him to find the spells he wanted.

But this time it was a bit different.

[Unable to display all spells! Sending the information to the host's mind.]

His eyes widened, and before he could say anything, a slight headache hit him, "Ugh!" He let out a stifled groan and focused on the information that was sent to his mind.

He closed his eyes and entered the mental realm of [Epiphany Zone.]

He stood on the mirror-like sea and stared at the various sigils that floated around him.

"Huh? How does the academy library have all these spell books?" He questioned after seeing that the academy had spells related to all twenty-seven mark branches.

They even had the spell books of the shadow branch, which were considered comparatively hard to find within the dream realm.

"Wait! Considering that once someone reaches Master rank, they no longer need spells because of their ability to force elementals into doing anything they want... then these books allow us to awaken our astral core to full potential..."

Jaden was left surprised by this revelation, seeing that this was a heavy thought that appeared in his mind, 'Do they really need me that much? I don't see things being that bad...'

He shook his head and threw the thought away before slapping himself awake and mumbling with flames burning in his eyes, "There's no need to think about it yet... I just have to get as much strength as I can from this place."

He focused on the spells and thought, 'What branches should I choose?'

For the mark of the sun, he could only pick one branch, and so he chose the one with the most spells - solar.

For the mark of the moon, he didn't have to choose because he could learn all of them.

For the mark of nature, he could only select two branches, and he chose Life and Nature because Spirit would require him a contract with a spiritual being similar to Yuka.

For the mark of war, he had no choice other than blood, as he had already awakened it.

For the mark of storm, he could choose two, and he chose Nullification and Barrier because Chaos magic was said to cause mental instability because of its inherent nature and being the smart man he was, he chose to stay away from it.

For the mark of dream, he couldn't choose anything because he hadn't been bound with a grimoire having the mark of dream.

For the mark of shadow, he could learn all of them.

Jaden took a deep breath and cleared his head before walking up to the sigils of the chosen mark branches.

Soon, the vast expanse of [Epiphany Zone] was filled with Jaden's gruelling screams as messages appeared before his bloodshot, blurry eyes.

"Hah... Hah..." he took slow, deep breaths as he lay in the pool of blood that had seeped out of his body due to the awakenings.

A second later few more messages appeared before him.

More and more messages continued to appear before him and filled his mind with a symphony of soft chimes that made all the pain he had just gone through worth it.

"Haha..." he left out a low laugh, and before long, another chime much louder than the ones before rang in his head.

Jaden read the messages with bated breath, and finally, the message he had been waiting for so long appeared before him.

"Haha!" He let out a loud laugh that seemed to shake the very mental realm of [Epiphany Zone].

After bathing in the joy of obtaining what he wanted, he mumbled, "Confirm."

The mental realm of [Epiphany Zone] cracked, and Jaden was thrown out of it.

He looked around and saw dried blood on the ground before the mana within the room began to move towards him.

He sat in lotus position and began to absorb the mana coming towards him without a delay.

The mana ran from his minor mana veins to his great mana vein and entered his mana core, which was churning like it had been starved to death till now.

The mana began to condense in his veins. Jaden felt it as his body began to heat up, and the sweat that was clinging to his body began to turn into a stream.

"Ugh!!" He let out a groan as the heat became unbearable. He gritted his teeth, and after a few minutes, a message appeared before him.

[Enhancing body…]

Jaden's mana had completed its transformation into liquid form, and now his body was to be enhanced with the new mana that was flowing through his body.

He gritted his teeth as he still remembered how it had gone during his advancement to Adept-ranked.

The liquid-like mana began to flood in his mana veins and seeped into his very muscles, but this time he didn't feel the same pain he felt last time; instead, a soothing sensation surged across his whole body.

A few minutes passed, and messages appeared before him.

Jaden let out a fresh breath and looked at the screen before him.

Just as before, he began to learn the spells, but this time he had 3-star spells and martial arts with him, but... There weren't many of them because such spells and arts were kept as family heirlooms.

On the other hand, there were no 4-star spells and martial arts because even a tier one family could afford one of them and because of that, the academy couldn't just get them for the students.

He wasn't surprised by this because it was a common practice even back in his previous world, yet he had thought that the academy would at least have one 4-star spell, but he was proven wrong.

He took a deep breath and began reading a spell book, and just a few seconds later, a message appeared.
