MMORPG: Rebirth of the Legendary TimeKeeper

Chapter 50: We are RICH!!

Joshua Roosevelt, better known as Streamer Blaze, slowly removed his headset, revealing unkempt orange hair that seemed to have been barely taken care of. Still, it could not suppress the joyful eyes that were gazing into the distance, recalling every bit of the events that had just transpired.

With an idiotic smile on his face, he slowly turned towards the guy sitting on the chair, his blonde best friend Gregory, better known as Link, also with an idiotic smile on his face as well.

"It's real, isn't it?" Joshua asked.

His eyes dazed, still lingering in disbelief, asked Gregory, who slowly nodded before answering,

"Yes, it is."

So many things have happened in the course of one day.

They had earned more than 350k subscribers. Almost 100 times more than they originally had.

They just successfully did a long stream of almost 3 and a half million views with 100% engagement. Even the duration was 6 hours long, something even the top streamers find difficult to do at that number.

Completing an Event quest, they also gained massive rewards, which easily brought them to the top position within the game. Something they usually dreamed of doing but couldn't because of the incomparable gaming skills they lacked against the top players who had resources and coaches.

And finally…

The fact that they were going to earn $300,000.

THE FACT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO EARN A FUCKING WHOOPING $300,000 IN A SINGLE DAY!!!!!

"We are rich!" As the excitement reached its peak, Joshua finally let out what was on his mind. His eyes glistened. His smile brightened even more. The more he thought about it, the happier he became.

"We are RICH!" Gregory added in excitement. He was happy for the money, for his best friend finally making a breakthrough, for getting out of the financial burdens that had haunted them and also for himself, that he was finally going to gain the stability that he yearned for.

"WE ARE RICH!!!!" Jumping out of the bed, Joshua began dancing on the floor. It was the worst kind of dance, with each limb moving in a random direction, and it would probably make even those who don't like to dance embarrassed. But Joshua couldn't care less about that.

They couldn't care less about it.

With a slightly better set of moves, and skills that would somewhat pass in the clubs, Gregory joined too, dancing along with him. They moved with the worst synchronicity and often ended up interrupting each other in the crammed space.

And each time they interrupted each other, they shouted…

"We are rich!"

"We are rich!"

Hand in hand, they started jumping together, round and round, enjoying to the best of their abilities. Last time they did something like this was when they flipped a bottle and it landed perfectly on its head.

The duo laughed out loud until their stomachs gave out. They looked at each other and laughed more. It seemed contagious. It was contagious.

Finally, he is back to normal. Gregory looked at the same guy, who had been so depressed in the morning that made him worry for his safety, was now laughing like a child as if he had been given the most special gift on his birthday.

-Thud!

The door opened, garnering the attention of the duo as a purple-haired woman, wearing a white college uniform, stood there observing them.

"QUIET BOTH OF YOU! YOU ARE DISTURBING THE NEIGHBOURHS!" Angelica, who had just returned home to greet her brother, shouted with a slight annoyance on her face.

The duo quieted down, but the idiotic smile was still plastered on their faces. It wasn't something that would go out anytime soon. They looked at the annoyed expression of Joshua's sister, slowly changing into a calm one, as if it were a facade before.

And then a proud smile appeared on her face. It blossomed upon her, making her already beautiful face even more charming, even more captivating.

"And congratulations on your stream," she said with pride, as she looked at her brother.

She too knew about the family's situation, and was willing to work part-time jobs to support his brother and herself, but Joshua had strictly forbidden her to do so. He asked Angelica to focus completely on her software engineering degree and to make sure to support him later when he joins a proper college. Until then, everything was on Joshua.

It was something that Joshua had decided, and mostly forced, on his own.

Understanding that they must have earned enough to support the family, and spare a lot more for the future, Angelica, too, was relieved. She could finally focus on her studies completely without having thoughts about the financial status of her home and the problems of her brother.

Joshua and Gregory looked at her dumbfounded. Then, their idiotic smile and overjoyed feeling once again took control over him.

"We are rich!"

"We are rich!"

They started jumping in Angelica's direction, almost ready to make her a part of their cult.

Once again, an annoyed expression took over Angelica's face before she spoke in a stern voice," I'll prepare dinner. You boys have 10 minutes to clean and set the table."

The boys paused, looked at each other, before turning to Angelica once again. Then nodded with a bright smile.

Following behind Angelica, making a train, with Joshua holding his two hands on her shoulders, and Gregory had done the same with Joshua, they walked idiotically.

"Who are we?" Joshua

"We are Rich!" Gregory

"What are we?!!" Joshua

"We are Rich!" Gregory

"Idiots." Angelica.

Angelica put on her cooking apron before setting up the stove. And then, taking out the vegetables, she began preparing the dinner.

The previous atmosphere was still there, but the boys weren't shouting anymore. They cleaned the table, rinsed the dishes and then prepared the table for three. Joshua even put up a few scented candles because he felt so happy right now.

"So, how was he?" Angelica asked as she stir-fried the vegetables. She was asking about Ezekiel, the guy responsible for turning the fates of the three present in this house.

"Interested?" Joshua asked with a knowing look.

He knew that it would take a lot of effort for a boy to make her notice him. Gregory was a prime example who had failed and given up long ago. He openly proposed to her and was openly rejected too. No hard feelings, though, since he made another girlfriend just a week later.

But then again, Ezekiel is bound to be noticed by anyone. He added in his mind, recalling his feats once more.

"Yeah. But I am worried too," Angelica answered honestly.

While she was curious about him, she was more worried if he was a good person or not. If a guy like that were to blackmail her brother, or do something nefarious, then… she shuddered even at the thought of that.

Joshua was too naive. Everybody who knows him, knows this fact.

"He is good. He even gave his share of today's earnings to us in exchange for the cards. We told him it's at least 300,000$ but he said it's fine. Cool guy, honestly." Joshua spoke as Angelica began placing the food on the table.

"The cards could be valuable," she added, putting her own perspective into it.

"True. But our immediate conditions can't be improved with the cards you know," and Joshua added, making her pause and think about it. And in the end she nodded before speaking,

"True."

"Still, 3 million views was huge. And 350 subscribers too," as they were talking, Gregory also added, once again reminding how big of a feat they had achieved. Joshua was about to shout 'We are Rich' once again, but paused as he looked at Angelica's cold smile.

Though she suddenly stopped. Something felt wrong to her…

"That's not 300k though…" she mumbled.

She remembers it because she once watched a famous streamer with that number and almost equal duration. It was a fun and captivating stream.

"Josh… I think it's not 300,000$," she said to him in slight disbelief. Joshua panicked a bit before calming down and asking," It is not? It's at least 100,000 right?"

Angelica was great when it came to maths, so Gregory trusted her on anything related to numbers. He saw her calculating based on what he just said and…

"It is… 1.4 Million$," she answered with her eyes widening.

"Huh?" The spoons fell out of the boys' hands simultaneously as they forgot to breathe for a moment.
