Everyone was too happy with the invention of the Clearwill Potion that they forgot about basic things that Leon reminded them of.
That put the stadium in silence again before murmurs started to rise. They finally realized a very big problem and got worried.
What if the ingredients were rare and the Clearwill Potion was very expensive? If they couldn't afford it, then it would all be for naught.
And even if the ingredients were cheap, what if Leon sold them at expensive rates?
They considered Leon's act at the start and felt some relief. They trusted his character somewhat and also wanted to cope with their fears.
They wanted to believe he wouldn't be like those greedy businesswomen. They really could only hope.
But then they remembered that Leon was just a kid who was focusing on his studies and Cultivation, then it meant someone else would get the right to make and sell these potions.
If they were greedy, then the problem remained the same.
That's when everyone realized how important Leon's next words would be. And it was especially true for the VIPs who were gripping their seats tightly, ready to offer anything to get the rights to produce and sell the Clearwill Potion.
Many of them were thinking of shady ways to get the patent, even.
Leon glanced at everyone's anticipatory looks and smiled. He thought, 'Sorry Amber, you have to play the bad cop.'
[It's nothing.]
Leon pretended to open his mouth to say something, but Amber's voice silenced everything.
"Wait a minute!"
All pairs of eyes turned towards Amber with hateful looks, clearly annoyed by her interruption. But who was Amber Frost?
She didn't care one bit about their looks and even flashed a grin, as if to stomp on their faces, "Now now, we are getting too excited with this stuff so I would like to interfere before things go south."
"I wonder what you mean?" Emilia asked with a smile. She really didn't think the Conclave would be so entertaining. How amusing.
Amber rolled her eyes at her supposed niece and said, "While it is true that Leon is a talented and smart person, don't forget he is still young. He's developing in social areas and I'm afraid you all will intimidate him and he will do something in fear that shouldn't be done."
Everyone was speechless at her reasoning. Some even choked on their drinks or spluttered it out, as they all looked at her shamelessness.
How could someone be so shameless with such a straight face? She didn't even feel remorse for lying so blatantly?
Bad social skills? Afraid of pressure from the audience? What the hell was she talking about? Was she really referring to the Leon Walker they were watching?
The same Leon who challenged her ideals before the entire stadium and stood his ground proudly?
All of them could admit that Amber had the most fearsome aura there and many of them couldn't even imagine themselves standing against her.
That just showed his courage.
Not to mention, he also stood his ground against top powerhouses like Cha Yoori and Emilia. He talked to them as if he was their peer.
They simply couldn't imagine someone like him giving in to some pressure, so everything that came out of Amber's mouth was nothing but bullshit.
They glared at her, but that was all they could do.
Amber put a finger in her ear and said like a hooligan, "I feel that these greedy and shady people of commerce will take advantage of my innocent, pure, and naive student. How can I just stand and watch it happen?"
This time even Leon couldn't control his emotions as he coughed lightly to mask his lips twitching at her proclamation.
The same went for Leon's friends. All of them were so dumbfounded that they wanted to laugh out loud. They never thought their strict teacher could be so shameless.
They also finally connected the dots on how Leon managed to make connections with Amber. It was all related to the Clearwill Potion.
As for the Clearwill Potion, they still found it a little hard to believe it was real and made by their friend. But they remembered the woman they had saved, only to end up in jail that day.
'Leon wanted to save her.'
That was what they all thought and couldn't help but smile at his kindness. Leon didn't behave like one, but they could see he was very kind and considerate of others. He was also very empathetic even though he acted like a jerk to them sometimes.
On the Head Seat, Morgon chuckled softly and asked her friend and superior, Agni, "Isn't she funny?"
"She's as much a handful as ever," Agni replied in her ever-so-majestic voice. "But what does she plan to achieve by this?"
"Who knows? We'll just have to wait and see." Morgon said with a shrug and turned to focus on the stage again when she heard an unexpected voice beside her.
"She's playing the bad cop."
Morgon stiffened the moment that strange, thunderous voice sounded around her. Then she relaxed and asked, "Then the good cop is Leon?"
Thunder, who sat beside her, nodded slightly, but that action alone was enough for the surroundings to tremble slightly.
'Interesting.' Morgon smiled and looked down again.
When she noticed that everyone had digested her words, Amber said, "So, I already got the patent from the government and established a factory where I'll produce the Clearwill Potion at zero profit. I will shoulder the initial cost and then only use the profit for production, nothing else."
Everyone was surprised at her words and felt quite relieved. But it was the opposite for the VIPs who were thinking of ways to get the rights to sell the potion.
This was the worst situation for them. For once, they couldn't even offer something that would outdo Amber's offer. After all, none of them were willing to work for zero profit, and even if some decided to shoulder the burden, it was just the same as Amber, and Leon definitely trusted Amber more.
As for trying out some shady tricks, who would dare do that to Amber?
For a moment, they could consider offending someone like Morgon or even Agni because they still had some restraints, but Amber was different.
She not only had enormous strength and a powerful background backing her, she was reckless and unrestrained, so offending her meant wipeout of their existence.
It would be too stupid.
While some still harbored some ideas of snatching away the business, most had given up and focused on another thing.
Distribution.
Surely, Amber would need to have many factories making Clearwill Potion and then distribute it all over the world. Even if she seemed invincible, there were things even she would find troublesome.
Now, the people eyed the distribution channels the most. If they could obtain rights to that, then they were bound to get successful and change overnight.
The potential of Clearwill Potion was just that huge.
Of course, there were many people who were thinking of researching the Clearwill Potion, using various methods to find the formula and method to make it.
The government wouldn't allow them to sell, but the underworld always existed for these things.
As long as they obtained the way to make it and sold cheaper than the original, they would benefit so much.
Just thinking about it made them drool.
Amber saw the situation and smiled, "We will decide the distribution too, so even if it sounds like I'm the worst human, I have decided to monopolize the Clearwill Potion."
Many protested against her immediately, calling her greedy and many other names, which made even Leon wonder if he didn't read the dictionary properly.
They even accused her of using his innocence to lure him to the bad side. He really wanted to laugh at that.
So after some time passed with the public getting angry, Leon decided to step in. It was finally time to throw his trump card which would make this business successful.
"Wait! Wait! Calm down everyone. Let me speak first!" Leon hurriedly tried to calm them down, and it seemed to have worked very well.
The public really seemed to have taken a liking to Leon as they all turned hopeful eyes towards him. They hoped he would be the kind person they thought he was.
"First of all, I would like to make it clear that the ingredients aren't that rare or expensive, but some of them are found only in the Primordial Expanse, so it isn't cheap either. After all, people would be risking their lives for these ingredients."
They nodded their heads in understanding, since the materials brought from the Primordial Expanse were generally expensive anyways.
They never expected Clearwill Potion to be very cheap. They just hoped it wasn't too expensive.
"So, I can assure you that everyone can afford it with a little bit of saving and working hard. As for the price, I would like to announce something. I only want ten percent of the profit, so the price would be just ten percent more than the original production cost."
