The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 698: Son of the Green Emperor

Shi Feiyang set up the Red Lotus Hell, and henceforth all the devil soul bodies and the like from the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain are to belong there.

However, the Nine Child Mother Sky Demon still has work to do, helping refine the Secret Demon Divine Shuttle of the Heavenly Stars. Only when they finish their tasks can they return to Hell.

Even so, the nine little demons were extremely happy, working no longer with curses, but with joy and bright smiles.

Shi Feiyang had always been very strict in managing them, using the big stick often, but had never given a carrot.

It's not that there was never any carrot, it's just that what was given before were real carrots. This time, it was a true carrot in the other sense.

This kind of demon is most capable of affecting people's emotions: when they are angry, others inexplicably feel angry too; when they are happy, others unaccountably feel joyful as well.

Centering around them, within a hundred-mile radius, all humans, gods, demons, and ghosts feel happy too, without knowing why, just wanting to laugh, to feel silly joy.

The air between Heaven and Earth was filled with happiness!

Shi Feiyang divided the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain into six regions, with the Bright Realm of the Western Continent split into northern and southern parts, using the Divine Peak extending from the North Pole Axis as the boundary. The north is the place Shi Feiyang and his apprentices reside for cultivation, with Five Palaces and Five Mansions, which was the main location where he tempered the Five-Colored Star Sand to cast the mountains and rivers in those years.

The south is a continuous series of majestic mountains, where many rare birds and exotic beasts are raised, now allocated for the Immortals to practice in seclusion.

Immortals from the outside world moved in continuously, and many loose cultivators from the Four Seas moved their islands along too, placing them in the Central Sea. Those migrating from Central Earth were arranged by Shi Feiyang here.

Shi Feiyang discussed with Jiang Shu and did not move the whole Qingcheng Mountain over; the Golden Whip Cliff was left in its original place. Shi Feiyang found another auspicious land with excellent feng shui for the Qingcheng Sect, naming it also Qingcheng Mountain, but to distinguish it from the one in Central Earth, called it Outer Heaven Qingcheng Mountain.

The Qingcheng Sect is a big and prosperous family, with over twelve hundred sword immortal disciples. Most still need to temporarily stay in Central Earth to manage affairs, so Jiang Shu designated his promising disciple, the Five Mountains Wanderer Chen Taizhen, to lead over fifty junior disciples back and forth to move homes. They first opened caves and built palaces here and then moved their belongings from Central Earth.

Chen Taizhen is a mature and reliable person, the most competent in handling affairs. After obtaining Shi Feiyang's permission, he led his junior brothers into large-scale construction.

The Qingcheng Sect also has a market in the Mingyu Immortal Market, and with these years of operation, they have amassed an immense fortune.

Though Jiang Shu remains detached from the mortal world, his disciples are extremely capable, particularly this Chen Taizhen, who is not only skilled in cultivation but also a genius in business!

Chen Taizhen, not wanting his junior fellows to overexert themselves, directly spent money to hire labor, inviting some great demons who could move mountains and borders, and assigned them the tasks while his junior fellows only needed to supervise.

He built the interior of the Outer Heaven Qingcheng Mountain to be magnificent and splendid, though its exterior was not overtly so, appearing as simple ancient caves and green mountains.

Seeing this situation, Shi Feiyang secretly sighed: "What talent!"

Ling Hun of the Snow Mountain Sect and Cui Wugu are already preparing for ascension, formally passing the position of Sect Leader to their eldest disciple, True Master Liu Quan, and entrusting these disciples to Shi Feiyang.

Ling Hun's character has always been somewhat selfish and stubborn. Once determined to ascend, he left even the task of moving houses entirely to Liu Quan, retreating into seclusion in Qingluo Valley with Cui Wugu without further concern.

Shi Feiyang selected a place in the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain called Great Snow Mountain; there's no snow there now, but there will be in the future.

The Snow Mountain Sect is also large, but Ling Hun is not like Jiang Shu, giving unconditional support to Shi Feiyang's every move. Many things proceeded slower, and there was no business talent like Chen Taizhen, so their wealth was less than a fifth of the Qingcheng Sect's, though still substantial.

Liu Quan is determined to carry on his master's will, vowing to expand and glorify the Snow Mountain Sect...

The Huangshan Sect also has a large population, with over three hundred sword immortals, making it the third-largest sword immortal sect by population size.

Shi Feiyang chose a location near the Bright Realm and named it Huangshan, having Shi Zhu lead people to move there.

Shi Zhu also has a legacy, which is his cave residence from his previous life as the Kuzhu Elder, located in the Great Wilderness Mountain Wuzong Ridge, containing many valuable items.

In fact, the Kuzhu Elder had numerous legacies, reincarnating in Central Earth every sixty years, each time leaving behind a body with excellent root bones.

Though he hasn't regained his former life's memories, Shi Feiyang does not allow him to seek them out, albeit the items in Wuzong Ridge need to be retrieved.

Shi Feiyang told Shi Zhu: "That Wuzong Ridge was your secluded place in a previous life. Go there and bring back anything useful, but remember, the Giant Wood God, the Son of the Green Emperor, resides on that ridge. Your visit will inevitably cause issues. No matter what he does, ignore him. Just take the things and return quickly, remember this well."

Shi Zhu respectfully agreed, left the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain, and hurried back to the East Sea Great Wilderness Mountain.

He has never regained his former life's memories, and returning to his former life's place feels entirely like the first visit, though having lived there for over a thousand years before does give him a vague sense of familiarity.

Following Shi Feiyang's guidance, he did not take the main road, but instead, he took a detour up the mountain via a small path shrouded in constant mist and buffeted by high winds and furious waves.

He arrived safely at Wuzong Ridge, where he found the valley where he used to reside in the past. The valley was full of bamboo groves, and these bamboos were descendants of the roots of the Six Roots Pure Bamboo, all of which were spiritual roots over a thousand years old. He was naturally fond of bamboo, and seeing the fresh, green spirit bamboo, he felt an intimate affection.

In the valley, there was an array he had set up in his previous life. Although he couldn't recall the method to disarm it, he had cultivated the spells of his past life, making it easy to break in.

Returning to the cave abode where he had meditated for a thousand years, every plant, every piece of furniture, every table, and chair felt incredibly familiar.

Shi Zhu looked at everything in the cave abode, and many long-dormant memories seemed about to awaken, yet something always felt missing.

This feeling made him somewhat uneasy, but Shi Feiyang had explained everything to him. Without lingering, he hurriedly took out the Universe Box that Shi Feiyang lent him and began to pack his belongings into it: tables, chairs, benches, bamboo scrolls, anything he could carry away.

It so happened that the Son of the Green Emperor was also in Wuzong Ridge.

Years ago, he was banished to the Lower Realm, landing at the highest point of Great Wilderness Mountain, at the summit of Wuzong Ridge. One reason was the excellent geomancy, and the other reason was the higher the altitude, the closer to Heaven, the more Pure Qi and the less Dull Energy, which made him feel comfortable and was more conducive to cultivation.

He thus built a Divine Wood Palace here and drove away all the loose cultivators in Wuzong Ridge, intending to monopolize the area.

All the other loose cultivators were expelled, except for Old Man Kuzhu, whom he could not drive away, and they were separated by merely a thousand miles.

At this moment, the Giant Wood God stood atop the mountain, observing below, and everything Shi Zhu did was entirely within his sight.

Originally, Old Man Kuzhu had set all sorts of arrays and prohibitions for concealment, but first, Shi Zhu lacked memories of his past life and returned hastily, only wanting to take his belongings and leave without researching restoration. Secondly, the Giant Wood God had achieved great success in divine skill over the years, becoming increasingly powerful, far surpassing his past self.

He possessed the bloodline of the Green Emperor, an Innate Eastern Jia Wood Holy Body, and cultivated the most top-tier cultivation technique in the Three Realms. Back then, upon descending to the Lower Realm, one, many immortal laws were yet to be mastered, and two, as a banished being, he dared not cause too much commotion for fear of attracting attention from Heaven. But now, it was different; he had already cultivated a Golden Immortal body, even stronger than a typical Golden Immortal!

He wished to return to Heaven, secretly contacted his father, but the Green Emperor would not consent.

It was a time of transition for Emperor Ziwei's throne; the Green Emperor sought further advancement, and his son was a blemish. How could he be allowed to return now?

The Giant Wood God was very displeased, not blaming the Green Emperor, but rather resenting the heavenly rules for being overly insensitive. Why must celestial beings be devoid of affection, unable to marry or have children? Without small love, how can there be great love? If one does not love their own children, how can they love the multitude of beings across the Three Realms?

As a second-generation deity sent down, he was full of grievances, thinking that if he could return to Heaven, at the very least, he could become a Star Monarch in one domain!

Moreover, he had to quickly find a way to return to Heaven, lest the Dharma Decline Era arrive and strip him of all mana, turning him into nothing but mortal flesh.

Shi Zhu was tidying up the relics of his past life in the cave when suddenly a vigorous voice echoed through the air around him: "Fellow Daoist Kuzhu, it's been a long time, I hope you've been well."

Shi Zhu's heart pounded, knowing it was the Giant Wood God on the mountaintop. He kept Shi Feiyang's warnings in mind, ignoring whatever the Giant Wood God said, and continued to hasten his packing.

The Giant Wood God, seeing no answer, seemingly unheard, felt disappointed and spoke again: "Years have passed since you last returned. When you left last time, you even took your Dharma Body, which had been inactive for a millennium. This time, you've returned in a reincarnated body and immediately started packing as soon as you came home. Are you not planning to return again?"

Shi Zhu remained deaf.

The Giant Wood God's voice became increasingly deep: "Years ago, I was intent on driving you away, and you adamantly refused. Now, when I'm no longer urging you to leave, you're choosing to go on your own?"

Regardless of what he said, Shi Zhu still made no response, which displeased the Giant Wood God greatly: "I have already ordered a banquet to be prepared in the palace. Would Fellow Daoist care to grace us with your presence?"

Old Man Kuzhu still said nothing.

This really ruffled the Giant Wood God's feathers, thinking to himself, I've shown you great courtesy!

He waved his hand, and a circle of heavy azure light emerged from Spirit Bamboo Valley a thousand miles away, enclosing the cave abode where Shi Zhu was. Pausing slightly, seeing no response from Shi Zhu, the light circle began to contract, exerting a powerful spatial twisting force. If Shi Zhu did not act, the entire valley would be crushed and shattered!

Shi Zhu had no choice but to realize the opponent's mana was potent and unfathomable. Quickly, he took out the Six Roots Pure Bamboo, which emitted six rays of green light from its tip.

Bamboo, something that lies between Jia Wood and Yimu, appears as Jia Wood when with Yimu and as Yimu when with Jia Wood.

Compared to Lu Yu, Old Man Kuzhu was Jia Wood, Lu Yu was Yimu. Compared to the Giant Wood God, he became Yimu, and the Giant Wood God was Jia Wood.

The azure light circle from the Giant Wood God appeared dark green and irresistible, while the six rays of green light emitted seemed young, green, and thin.
