The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 665: The Princess of Stone God’s Secret Battle with Zhu Youmu

Shi Zhu cooperated with Shi Feiyang to hang all three segments of the sea eel using the Six Roots Pure Bamboo, using the Nine Heavens Gang Wind to dry them into "dried worms," sealing them within the Spirit Bamboo.

Once this largest demon beast was dealt with, the remaining ones were easy to handle, no longer needing Shi Feiyang to take action, as the sword immortals from various paths either slew or expelled them.

Soon, the East Sea was calm, with the clouds clearing to reveal blue skies and white clouds.

This invasion by the demon beasts was merely a probe by Chi You, and there are likely more formidable beasts to follow.

However, Shi Feiyang would stay in the Capital for now, not going anywhere until the young emperor finished refining the Mo Long Sword.

In the following days, everything remained peaceful, with no demon beasts reappearing in the East Sea. The Witchcraft Masters in the Southern Border were killed one by one by the sword immortals led by Jiang Shu, who destroyed altars, temples, and nests. The demon beasts in the wilderness either chose to surrender to Huo Wuhai and were sent to the Outer Heaven Divine Mountain or were burned to ashes by the True Sun Fire.

But an unexpected situation arose in the North Sea...

Zhu Youmu's power was exceedingly formidable, and with Jiang Xuejun joining him, they grew even stronger, becoming unstoppable.

The many Demon Kings, Great Witches, and Ju Rong that Chi You had groomed over the years were all defeated like dried branches in front of these two, crushed to pieces.

He couldn't watch his years of effort be destroyed by the two, but wasn't willing to come forth to fight these two top experts from Buddhism and Daoism, as even if victorious, he'd suffer a significant loss of mana. As he hesitated, a guest arrived.

It was the Princess of Stone God!

The Princess of Stone God previously visited the Capital to meet Shi Feiyang, bringing Han'er and the Yi Family brothers, intending to exchange these three for Shi Feiyang's leniency on the Deng Yin issue.

In the end, the three were handed over, yet there wasn't any movement on the Deng Yin issue, although there had been psychological preparations for this outcome before the visit, it grew increasingly frustrating after leaving.

Initially, she planned to find Li Ning, to capture the Red Flower Princess and reunite the two volumes of the Blood God Scripture.

Upon closer calculation, Shi Feiyang had anticipated her move, sending Zhu Changyuan over, and Li Ning would heed the teachings of Bai Mei Monk, genuinely hiding himself.

If she sought Li Ning, she wouldn't find him quickly, and ultimately would gain nothing but embarrassment.

Thus, she went to the North Sea to find Chi You again.

She came to negotiate with Chi You, asking him to get Deng Yin out in exchange for her helping Chi You deal with Zhu Youmu and Jiang Xuejun.

Back then, Shi Feiyang to escape the hostile pursuit from the Mysterious Sect and Buddhism continuously released old demons against them, and now she started doing the same to Shi Feiyang.

Chi You and she took what they needed, reaching an agreement quickly.

Chi You knew Zhu Youmu and Jiang Xuejun were formidable, initially believing the Princess of Stone God would join him in a showdown against them, suggesting she pick one as a rival, leaving the other for him.

The Princess of Stone God smiled and said, "The two are orthodox Mahayana Buddhism and the Mysterious Sect's direct transmission, both possessing supreme demon-suppressing methods. If I were to duel them, wouldn't that be asking for trouble? This girl doesn't do such things."

Chi You was somewhat displeased, "What do you mean? We agreed to work together, are you just going to watch from the sidelines?"

The Princess of Stone God laughed, "Not at all, but as those two possess strong mana, it's truly not the Demon Path's way to engage in head-on battles. They have flaws within their hearts that can be exploited to subdue them, Buddhist teachings speak of directly pointing at the heart to see nature and achieve Buddhahood, and similarly, the Demon Path has secret techniques to directly point at the heart. Unless he has reached the Heavenly Immortal Bodhisattva stage, there's always a weak spot to grasp."

She shared her strategy with Chi You, who found it worth trying, soon persuading all tribes of the North Sea Thirty-Six Nations to cease resistance and choose to follow the Righteous Path.

A large number of the Rong Qiang Tribe laid down arms, escorting the elderly and young to worship the Heavenly Immortal Bodhisattva.

They called Zhu Youmu the Living Buddha and Jiang Xuejun the Holy Mother.

Zhu Youmu and Jiang Xuejun sternly reprimanded them, advising them not to use such titles, then affirmed their attitude towards converting to righteousness, urging them to live well thereafter...

Concerned these people may return to the Evil Path, Zhu Youmu carved an ice cave within the glacier, temporarily meditating and cultivating inside, intending to observe for some time.

The Thirty-Six Nations began constructing palaces; the fishing and hunting tribes were very poor but still spent everything to build the Great Buddha Temple and Holy Mother Palace.

They dived underwater searching for five-colored pearls to decorate the temple, scouring the Black Sea for ten-thousand-year-old coral to sculpt divine seats, while southern tribes with grazing capabilities offered their entire tribe's milk and honey to polish the walls...

The Ju Rong were tall and strong, had heads of copper and bodies of iron, and immense power, so the palace construction went swiftly, completing two "Crystal Palaces" in just three months, truly built with North Sea Crystal, clear and luminous, with vibrant colors. Here, sunlight slants, with very short durations each day, yet during the short span when sunlight hit the Crystal Palace around noon, it became radiant, producing arches and rainbows of various sizes above.

The devotees bowed their heads with every step, truly treating Zhu Youmu and Jiang Xuejun as gods and Buddhas.

Zhu Youmu was the first to notice, flying out and loudly rebuking these people: "Who told you to build temples for us?"

At this moment, he still retained some humility, knowing that he was far from achieving Buddha status, not even worthy of being a Bodhisattva, and was in no position to have statues made and worshipped in temples.

Moreover, the precedent set by Xie Shan was not far off; a single misstep could lead to a Fallen Tribulation.

The Great Witches of the Rong tribe knelt on the ground, kowtowing, holding Buddhist Scriptures, and pleaded loudly: "We have turned to Buddhism with all our hearts... It turns out we all believed in a Cult, our lives were in complete darkness, living in a sea of bitterness for lifetimes... until we met you, Great Bodhisattva! You are the living Buddha among us! In our hearts, you are the Buddha! Closer than Buddha! We should receive your guidance, this is the karma cultivated in our past lives! Buddha! We beg you, do not abandon us, forsake us, please, lead us together on the path to liberation from reincarnation..."

This group from the Rong Di tribe couldn't read a single word, naturally unaware of what Buddhist Law was.

But the Princess of Stone God knew, the Princess of Stone God not only knew, but was even highly proficient in Buddhism, able to recite various Scriptures fluently.

She knew the angle to approach from to destroy a Buddhist practitioner's merit.

For someone like Zhu Youmu, he should be flattered to lead him to arrogance, for he already had a proud heart; a little flattery would make him more arrogant, and arrogance is a great barrier. Once this barrier arises, it isolates him from the Righteous Skill of Buddhism, and with the isolation from the Righteous Skill, evil views would naturally arise in his heart. The more evil views, the more he would develop a Demon Heart and Demon Thought, entering a Demon Realm...

Sure enough, at first, Zhu Youmu resisted a lot, but those Great Witches were persuasive in speech and action, kowtowing and requesting teachings.

"The Buddha is no longer in this world, and many High Monks and great virtues are only in China, never coming to our cold and harsh regions to preach! It's always dark here because there is no Buddhist Law! Our people are forever living in darkness... You are the light! Please light our Heart Lamp, illuminating this dark world, dispelling Wu Ming..."

Those who truly practice Buddhism are always willing to do almsgiving.

According to Buddhist Law, giving wealth results in wealth, and giving teachings results in wisdom.

Giving wealth means donating money and items; today it's like depositing it in a bank, with compound interest. One day, when you need it, it will return in doubles.

Giving teachings means explaining Buddhist Law to others; the more you teach, the greater your wisdom, and the easier it is to achieve enlightenment.

A Great Monk goes out for alms, receiving meals given by others, and must share some Buddhist teachings with them, exchanging Dharma almsgiving for wealth almsgiving, benefiting each other.

To become a Buddha, one must teach others... otherwise, the resources for wisdom are insufficient.

If these people asked Zhu Youmu for blessings to get promotions, wealth, have dozens of beautiful wives, and herds of cattle and sheep with meat hanging from trees, Zhu Youmu would certainly refuse.

But they asked Zhu Youmu for teachings, requesting him to instruct them on Buddhist Law, which aligns precisely with every Buddha Cultivator's heart!

So Zhu Youmu stayed to preach Buddhist Law to them.

These people knelt and listened intoxicated, sometimes applauding, sometimes shedding tears, and some openly repented, wondering why they hadn't heard such truths earlier, feeling they had wasted their lives, no, wasted many lifetimes!

They were previously blind, obstructed by Wu Ming, seeing nothing. Now, upon listening to Buddhist Law, the obstacles of Wu Ming were cleared away, and the entire world became clear!

Zhu Youmu felt very satisfied after listening; having so many people listen to him preach Buddhist Law, he was performing a Bodhisattva's actions.

These past days, he had been sitting on the Snow Mountain preaching to everyone, and afterward, the Princess of Stone God felt the Fire Control was about right, encouraging the Great Witches to persuade him to enter the palace.

"This is a place for preaching Buddhist Law. Although you don't care, you must consider the dignity of Buddhism. A solemn appearance attracts more followers, making them sincerely yearn for Buddhism, for Buddhist Law. Just as Amitabha Buddha attracts people with Nirvana, many Buddha Country Pure Lands are paved with gold, adorned with Seven Treasures. Our stage should also be dignified and pure."

Thus Zhu Youmu indeed went to the Great Buddha Temple to preach Buddhist Law, ascending to give teachings every five days. During his teachings, a cloud of sandalwood light shined, filling a thousand miles with Buddha Light, the scent of sandalwood continuously emanating. Indeed, it was a sight of solemn dignity, everywhere filled with light and warmth, making those who saw it yearn for it.

Meanwhile, Jiang Xuejun also faced flattery from the Great Witches of the Rong tribe.

However, Jiang Xuejun was a Daoist disciple, entirely different from Zhu Youmu.

Buddhism has the motive of Dharma almsgiving; every Buddhist disciple is willing to actively teach Buddhist Law, the more people listen, the happier they are.

Daoism, however, is not like this. Many secret skills of the Mysterious Sect are often passed down individually and confidentially, not to be shared with six ears!

One must show great perseverance, even being tested for many years, and still may not succeed in becoming an apprentice.

If they used the same method to request teachings from Jiang Xuejun, it would be of no use at all.
