The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 629: 512 Zi Wu Cold Wave_2

If it were an ordinary rock, no matter how hard, it wouldn't withstand the grinding of the Evil Qi within the Cold Wave – it would shatter into dust before flying far.

This rock, sealed by the Mana of two people, was quite solid indeed. Brushed by the Gang Wind of the Cold Wave, it rapidly rolled forward as it flew.

The two Arhats, fearing detection by Jiu Chaos, immediately hid far away.

Jiu Chaos reached a valley in Heaven Mountain, one where the Cold Wave passed through. He had previously used deep-red hard ice to form a dam sprawling over ten miles to block the Cold Wave, with a horn-shaped hole beneath it.

The hole led to the back of the dam, where there stood a Dharma Platform with six blood-drenched gourds floating in the air before it.

Jiu Chaos flipped over the dam and began casting spells behind the Dharma Platform.

Soon after, the Cold Wave fiercely struck the dam, causing the earth to shake and the mountains to quiver, as the ice cracked and the mountain walls collapsed, echoing through the hills in a frightful roar.

Blessed by a Demon Formation, the ice dam, despite crumbling in large chunks under the fierce Gang Wind and Cold Wave, stood firm. The Cold Wave bored through the horn-shaped opening to the space behind the dam.

Jiu Chaos, spitting Essence Blood, formed hand signs and cast a spell, activating the six gourds to target the hole beneath the dam, splitting the rushing Cold Wave into six streams to be absorbed within.

He had prepared well in advance, and this Cold Wave could have been wholly absorbed into the Blood Gourds as before.

Yet those two Arhats had used a rock, also blessed with Mana, that withstood the grinding of the Gang Wind and the erosion of the Evil Qi, tumbling and riding the wind like a cannonball fiercely shot into the hole.

The rock blocked the hole, preventing the Cold Wave from passing through, and it quickly piled up behind the dam. The dam began to teeter, with thunderous rumblings incessant to the ear.

"Not good!" After realizing something was amiss, Jiu Chaos hurried to check. Just as he saw a rock had blocked the hole, the ice dam shattered and then burst apart.

In haste, Jiu Chaos merged into a streak of blood light and soared into the sky as the Cold Wave burst through the dam and continued to race along the valley, carrying with it the Cold Gang and ice fog, shrouding half of Heaven Mountain within.

"A Cold Wave's grinding can turn even a large piece of steel into slag; how could a rock withstand it?"

Noticing something odd, Jiu Chaos again transformed into a streak of blood light, chasing swiftly at the tail of the wave.

The Cold Wave entered a large cavern in Shanyin, plunging deep into the Earth Core.

Although Jiu Chaos was skilled and bold, he dared not venture easily into the Earth Core, ultimately unable to locate the rock again, somewhat regretful.

His spell had failed, and he hadn't captured this Zi Wu Cold Wave. Fortunately, the Cold Wave would arise again next month, when there would be another chance.

The Golden Staff Arhat and Mingzhu Arhat, daring not to get too close, watched from a great distance. They didn't clearly see whether Jiu Chaos obtained the Secret Manual and quickly calculated the outcome, which was negative.

Both were shocked; the Secret Manual, personally crafted by their master, had just fallen into the Earth Core... how could they report back?

They hurried to the scene, entering the Earth Core in search of it, but the situation inside was overly complex, with chilling Gang Qi flowing back and forth, and some areas connected to aqueous straits.

The Earth's meridian circulated Qi, straits ran with water, the Earth Core blew wind—all driven by the Earth Core, which, following the rotation of heaven and earth according to the Circulation, produced various pulses. These drove the flow and surge of the underground winds and waters, and aside from experts at the Cosmic Six Strange Level, no one dared to rush and dash about inside.

Powerless, the two could only return apprehensively to meet Grandmaster Ha Ha, requesting to be disciplined.

Grandmaster Ha Ha was very angry, but after some calculations, his anger subsided somewhat: "Though one might plant flowers deliberately, they don't always bloom. Yet willows, planted without intent, can spring into a forest! In five months, that rock will be ejected by the Cold Wave from the Earth Core. Another person will obtain it then. Although the outcome was not as we initially expected, there will be an unexpected benefit that is not all bad. As for Deng Yin's disciple... it's better I go there myself. You two are truly useless, incapable of being reliable at the crucial moment!"

Shi Feiyang, alone and armed only with his sword, bravely traversed the ends of the earth, scheming and inquiring. As soon as he knew who held fragments of the Immortal Scripture, he would rush over to forcefully take them.

In less than a year, he had collected fifty-eight fragments of the manual.

The rest were housed in places like Shaolin Temple, the Western Sect, Divine Dragon Island, and even Fei Long Shi Tai's Lushan Sect had some in their collection.

Originally, these fragments of the Immortal Scripture circulated only within the Martial Arts community, and occasionally cultivators obtained them out of curiosity. The cultivation techniques described were rather superficial, merely for mortals to progress towards becoming cultivators. For Sword Immortals who had already attained the Dao, they were of little use.

Many disciples from sects such as Qingcheng and Wudang, upon seeing the fragments, could tell at a glance they were heterodox and fake, and none took them seriously.

However, Grandmaster Ha Ha targeted the vast number of ordinary people, leading them astray into the byways of the Demon Path, inciting chaos and mutual slaughter...

The evil consequences directly wrought by these nefarious deeds would be credited to Grandmaster Ha Ha, and had nothing to do with Shi Feiyang, yet people cursed and maligned Shi Feiyang, which would generate a massive "Negative Wish Power."

Wish Power is essentially a form of spiritual energy. When powerful enough, it can give rise to Yin Yang Qi in the void, an intermediary substance that lies between existence and non-existence, and represents the transition from the virtual to the real.

Yin Yang Qi, being positive and negative, can cancel each other out as well as complement each other, with Yin hidden and Yang manifest, creating the world.

This Shushan World is the product of the Wish Power of beings from this and other worlds!

Wish Power can be positive, such as the Blessing Power of Buddha or Bodhisattsas taking rebirth on their vows...

And there is negative Wish Power, the accumulated resentment of evil spirits is also a form of Wish Power.

Negative Wish Power, based on greed, anger, and ignorance, and arising from Seven Emotions and Six Desires, often has the opposite effect: the more one desires, the less one gets; the more one detests something, the more it presents itself...

Positive Wish Power is born of the most fundamental pure and clear intentions, and that is the essential difference between the two.

When Shi Feiyang served as the Dragon King at Dinghu Peak, the villagers' prayers contributed to Wish Power. In the future, when the whole world points fingers at him, it will also be due to Wish Power.

Shi Feiyang, who had already Seen Dao and whose personal heart aligned with the Heavenly Heart, could remain unaffected, but his Three Emperors' Dao would be ruined.

Grandmaster Ha Ha went a step further in plotting to lure Shi Feiyang's disciples into the fray, making them engage in strife with those who slandered Shi Feiyang, and even go on killing sprees. By then, Shi Feiyang would also be burdened by his disciples and forced to enter the fray.

After all, none of Shi Feiyang's disciples had Seen Dao yet, and Grandmaster Ha Ha was confident he could draw all of them into the scheme.

Therefore, Shi Feiyang had to deal with this matter first.

He did not follow the path Grandmaster Ha Ha had anticipated by publicly coming forward to preach and dispel the rumors. Doing so would have allowed Grandmaster Ha Ha to manipulate people's emotions against Shi Feiyang... If Shi Feiyang remained silent and resorted to killing, that would be even better... The more he killed, the happier Grandmaster Ha Ha would be.

He took advantage of the "cause" of Elder Kuzhu's past reincarnations and set a blind spot by refining the physical body into seven Treasure Beads, each infused with one soul, behind which lay numerous branches of Heavenly Number, meant to confuse Grandmaster Ha Ha and thwart his calculations.

He then created several false visions to lead Grandmaster Ha Ha into the path he desired...

Shi Feiyang did not plan to search places like Shaolin Temple and Divine Dragon Island for the remaining fragments; he had enough in his possession. By now, everyone in the world knew that the fragments were a mix of real and fake, and his goal had been achieved.

In truth, since he had created them, the genuine ones were in his possession; whatever was circulating outside was produced by Grandmaster Ha Ha. Let whoever wanted to look at them do so; if they practiced incorrectly, there was no need for him to explain, as people would already know those must be fake.

Everyone had subconsciously developed a belief: the real "Purple Ying Immortal Scripture" belongs to the Mysterious Sect and is not only powerful but has nothing to do with Buddhist or Demon Cult teachings. Everything good was real, and everything weak or flawed was fake.

Shi Feiyang deduced that Grandmaster Ha Ha intended to tempt Deng Yin's disciples into causing trouble and harming others to provoke a conflict with him and estrange the two sides.

Thus, he used a Flying Sword Transmission in advance to inform Deng Yin, advising him to lay an ambush and give Grandmaster Ha Ha a harsh surprise.
