The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 540: 440 Nine Pure Green Lotus

Shi Feiyang imprinted the Circulation God Talisman on the surface of the Jade Lotus showing the methods derived from the Three Emperors Dao to sacrificially refine this Heavenly Treasure anew.

The Lotus had originally been marked by Master Changmei with the Shaqing Immortal Skill, which, apart from the very few elements that fused with the essence of the lotus, crumbled and disintegrated one after another.

As the Shaqing Immortal Skill continued to collapse and dissipate, the petals that grew on the lotus lost their luster. The originally brilliant nine-colored light faded rapidly, and after the light faded, the petals also began to wither and fall.

After a moment, the entire flower bud utterly perished, leaving only a solitary lotus pod behind, above which floated a blood-colored flesh orb the size of a teacup mouth.

Without the encasement of the petals, the flesh orb attempted to break free into the sky.

However, Shi Feiyang had anticipated its escape, continuing his hand seals and casting, causing nine streams of green vapor to be ejected from the holes of the lotus pod, firmly capturing the flesh orb.

Following this, three hundred and sixty Circulation Golden Talismans formed a golden circle suspended around it, with the Jade Lotus at the center of the circle. As Pure Yang Immortal Qi was continually infused, new petals started growing at the edges of the lotus pod again, although this time they were not multicolored but purely green.

One petal after another sprouted at a pace visible to the naked eye, quickly growing three thousand six hundred petals, layered upon each other, each marked with signatures of the Circulation, the Four Symbols, and the Twelve Yuan Chen Star Palaces, totaling nine grades to correspond to the nine holes on the lotus pod.

A thousand years ago, when the Palace Master of the Stone God Palace handed this lotus pod to Master Changmei, it had only seven holes, burgeoning with seven lotus seeds. Now, it had grown to nine holes, birthing nine seeds.

Shi Feiyang caused its Light Energy to reflect, casting it between the thousands of petals, with the light coming to and fro, dazzling to the eye.

The growth of this Green Lotus excessively drained mana, and even when Shi Feiyang channeled all of his body's mana into it, it wasn't enough, thus he consumed many Spiritual Medicines in the process.

Finally, the Green Lotus continued to grow larger, eventually forming a lotus platform with a diameter of over thirty feet.

Shi Feiyang leapt atop the lotus platform, sitting down cross-legged, fusing the nine rays of green light below with his True Qi. Above, three Purple Divine Flames appeared instantaneously, turning him into a figure of light in the heart of a blossom!

The flesh orb red pearl remained floating behind and above him, within which the Princess of Stone God witnessed everything with immense surprise—she hadn't expected that the Jade Lotus her father left behind would undergo such a transformation in this man's hands, completely diverging from the prophecy her father once told.

This Green Lotus was inherently alive, detaching from Chaos and growing within the Void Pond inside the Taixu Immortal Mansion across the Nine Heavens. Numerous years ago, it fell into the Human World and was obtained by a predecessor to be refined into a Demon-suppressing Treasure; but what was most sacred and valuable was the Vitality it contained. The lotus seeds it bore were Spiritual Objects capable of reviving the dead and mending bones.

Over the years, the Vitality had always been present within the lotus, constituting the core of this treasure. Now, awakened by Shi Feiyang, it began to merge with his Essence Energy.

In time, with continuous nurturing and refinement, the connection between him and the lotus would strengthen. The Green Lotus would become more like a part of his own body, allowing him to call upon its Vitality at will. Eventually, he would have an endless supply of mana at his disposal!

He sat straight on the lotus platform, meditating with eyes closed.

Suddenly, a beautiful woman appeared behind him in a flash of red light—the Princess of Stone God from the "Blood God Scripture."

The Princess of Stone God remained as stunning as depicted within the scripture—unsurpassably beautiful.

She embraced Shi Feiyang from behind and whispered in his ear in a breathy voice, "Let's cultivate the 'Blood God Scripture' together."

Unmoved, Shi Feiyang sat still, statue-like. She began to roam her hands over him, switching from his left ear to the right ear, "Don't you want to know how to cultivate the 'Blood God Scripture'? This Green Lotus is an ultimate treasured object of the Immortals. My father said that cultivating the 'Blood God Scripture' upon it is ideal as it helps to avoid the disturbance and stealth attacks of the Heavenly Gods and the Formless Yin Demons, allowing one to practice wholeheartedly, to the point where a single session could suffice..."

Shi Feiyang understood that his Demon Tribulation had arrived. This type of tribulation couldn't be resisted by external means, other than a few objects specifically designed for it like the Heavenly Heart Ring. The rest were useless; overcoming it required inner strength and determination.

His Purple and Blue Duoluo Fire had already fused with his Essence, Energy, and Spirit, also possessing the efficacy of warding off demons. At this moment, three flames hovered above his head; in each flame was a small figure identical to himself, sitting cross-legged, and beside each small figure, a Princess of Stone God embraced from behind.

This Demon Tribulation wavered between reality and illusion, endowed with the effect of reversing time and space.

If he failed to transcend it, the outcome would be real. He and the Princess of Stone God would become united in cultivating the "Good Volume" of the "Blood God Scripture." It was very likely that the witch from the scripture would escape into the real world. Shi Feiyang speculated that the witch had many back-up plans—many that seemed remnants of the historical Stone God Palace Master, which at present he couldn't fathom completely.

Should he transcend it, it would all be mere illusion. The Princess of Stone God would have remained within the book, and the events never occurred, being nothing but hallucinations induced by his desire to cultivate the "Blood God Scripture."

He tightly linked his Primordial Qi with the lotus platform beneath him, merging them continuously.

The Green Lotus, rooted in Chaos, had thrived in the Void Pond within the Taixu Immortal Mansion since the world's beginning, its roots still capable of traversing from Acquired realms to the Innate Dao Body, directly drawing Chaotic Primordial Qi as nourishment.

After it fell into the Human World, the Green Lotus lost its roots, leaving just a lotus pod behind, still capable of absorbing growth and nurturing seeds.

Phenomena were manifestations while the Dao Body was the original source. Continuously drawing the Chaotic Primordial Qi from the source, the Green Lotus synthesized the purest Spiritual Energy of the Eastern Donghua Wood element within its body. This energy, governing life and growth, merged with Shi Feiyang. Based on his estimations, he would ultimately cultivate it into an Undying Body.

His would truly be an Undying Body; severed limbs could swiftly regrow, and he could even willfully sprout a thousand arms and a hundred heads. Even if his physical body was blasted to dust, it would recover in an instant!

Furthermore, his Primordial Spirit would also undergo transformation. By that time, he would no longer fear the joint cultivation of the "Blood God Scripture" with the Princess of Stone God.

At the moment, the Wood element Spiritual Energy rose from below, infinitely transforming through his body's meridians into Essence Energy and Spirit, and transferred into the three Purple Divine Flames atop his head. Having previously received the Ancient Lamp Oil, the brilliance of the flames had reached its peak, and now with a resurgence of energy, it didn't erupt outward but instead accumulated inwardly. Gradually, the flames resembled pools of silently burning liquid...

After ninety-nine days, Shi Feiyang opened his eyes and found that both the Witch in the Purple Divine Flame behind him had disappeared.

He waved his hand, and the Light Energy vanished; he was still sitting on the original cloud bed, holding a lush Green Jade Lotus in his hand with a large bud on it.

However, this time the color of the bud's petals was not colorful but a vibrant green.

The flesh sphere formed from the Good Volume of the "Blood God Scripture" was still inside the bud; that thing was too formidable, and with the Princess of Stone God presiding over it, only this Green Lotus could manage it.

Magical Treasures each have their uses. Take the Nine Suspicions Tripod, for instance; it is originally for alchemy, but the ancients would use it to refine the Chaos Primordial Embryo and collect various Demon Beast souls and human Magical Treasures. It is only a derivative use; if the "Blood God Scripture" is placed inside, it could not contain it, and over time, it would still manage to escape.

Even if it didn't escape, it could still influence the minds of all beings outside through the shadow of the cauldron!

Although the Demon Scripture was obtained, it could not be cultivated, nor could it be handed over directly to Deng Yin; fortunately, he gained this Nine Grades Green Lotus, which was also a significant gain.

He came out of the Underground Palace and found Leng Yun waiting anxiously outside, "Master! You... how come you only came out now?"

Shi Feiyang frowned, "What's happened?"

Leng Yun, both angry and sighing, recounted the events. It turned out that around Chengdu, there were three notorious bandits collectively known as the Three Outlaws of Western Sichuan, who committed robbery and violence unabashedly.

Many in the lower courts of the Emei Sect were Knights from the Jianghu, and a few had enmities with the Three Outlaws of Western Sichuan; most had also heard of their notoriety.

This time news came that the Three Outlaws had wreaked havoc in villages not far from Emei Mountain, afflicted more than a dozen innocent maidens, and killed several ordinary civilians.

These martial heroes, known for their brazenness, would typically strive to eliminate such rogues. Now that they were disciples of the Emei Sect, they could not tolerate such acts at their doorstep. Thus, they decided to act in the name of justice and eliminate the threat to the people.

More than twenty went together, and after days of investigating, they located the Three Outlaws in Mianzhu. They thought despite the high martial arts of the Three Outlaws, they were not above the many members of the Emei Sect's lower court. Three against three should have been able to subdue them.

However, their concern was that a few years ago the Three Outlaws had taken the Sword Immortal and Lone Horn Spiritual Official, Le Sanguan, as their master and had cultivated an Evil Skill. Fortunately, among those who went, several came from various sects and had swordsmanship and spells, so they were not afraid of him.

The disciples of the Emei Sect lured them from inside Mianzhu City to the top of Dragon Gate Mountain and surrounded them. They agreed to settle three on three in combat and killed one on the spot. The remaining two made use of the Poison Smoke from the Plague Bamboo Gourd to escape the encirclement and desperately fled to the Qingyang Palace.

Due to the weakening state of Emei over the years, continuous strategic withdrawals have caused an increasing number of heterodox factions to run rampant and cause trouble without any concerns.

In Shiyan Valley's Three Star Cave, there was a Sword Immortal from a side path, the old Ancestor of Qingyang, who, because Qingyang Palace held his Taoist title, intended to seize it for his own Daoist practice grounds.

Although there were some Taoists within Qingyang Palace, none knew any spells and could not resist, resulting in the occupation by the old Ancestor.

The Three Outlaws of Western Sichuan's master, Le Sanguan, had some connections with the old Ancestor of Qingyang, and two of the Outlaws rushed to the observatory in times of desperation, coinciding with the arrival of two disciples of the old Ancestor of Qingyang. The two Outlaws offered praises and flattered the disciples profusely, which made the disciples of Qingyang feel complacent; they took up the Outlaws' cause and agreed to shelter them.

When the disciples from the Emei Sect's lower court pursued the Outlaws to Qingyang Palace to demand they hand them over, a conflict quickly erupted. Two Qingyang disciples used their Flying Sword Magical Treasures, killing two and injuring four of the Emei disciples, forcing the others to rescue their companions and retreat ignominiously back to Emei Mountain.

"Who does that little Qingyang Taoist think he is, daring to kill people from our Emei Sect?" Shi Feiyang was somewhat surprised; had the Emei Sect really fallen to such a state?

He heard that some people were injured, and after many days, not only had they not recovered, but their conditions had worsened, with one at the brink of death.

He followed Leng Yun to the injured; two of them had suffered sword injuries but were already healed, and one was struck by a death nail, with a wound as large as a bowl on the shoulder that kept expanding, reaching bone-deep. The most severe was hit by a sneak attack of the pestilent miasma, his whole body turned black, and his innards seeped pus from every orifice – he was likely not going to survive.

"It's not much of a problem," he said, taking out Elixirs and powders, instructing people to administer them both internally and externally. The medicine took effect, immediately stopping the pus for the first person, and within the time it took to drink a cup of tea, the second person's blackness faded from his body.

Everyone internally marveled at the miraculous efficacy of the Immortal Pills, but in reality, Shi Feiyang had used Yue Yun's medicine; if he had used his own, he would have instantly gotten the two people bouncing back to life.

After treating the two, all the disciples looked over, waiting for him to issue orders to seek revenge against the old Ancestor of Qingyang.

However, they only saw him sitting there, slightly lost in thought, with no intention of leading them to avenge their grievances – they all felt a bit uneasy: surely it couldn't just end like this?

In reality, Shi Feiyang was contemplating the cause and effect involved in this matter.

The old Ancestor of Qingyang was not much of anything, and neither was Le Sanguan, both insignificant as ants; he could crush them with a flick of his finger, and even for Yue Yun, only two fingers would suffice.

He was surprised to find that he could use them to help accomplish a great affair for himself – combined with his prior plans, it would draw out the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor!

Before coming to Emei, he could only see the general situation from the Gua Xiang, but now, being in the midst of it all and knowing more information, he could discern finer details. Now that he was at the critical juncture, he could push things forward, leveraging small forces to move larger ones, and thereby achieving his ultimate goal!

To seize the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword and then immediately leave, returning to his own affairs.
