The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 510: 413 The last part of Chi You's Primordial Spirit

Shi Feiyang said, "Don't be in a hurry to thank me, I still have something to give you."

The Red Corpse God Monarch was not entirely secure with just the cultivation method; for internal use, he also needed something for external application. Shi Feiyang then took out the Heavenly Azure Divine Sand, which he had seized from Ji Fan.

This treasure was originally refined by Ji Fan with great effort to overcome tribulations, specifically to counter all kinds of Heavenly Demons and Divine Demons.

Now, it was a bargain for the Red Corpse God Monarch.

Shi Feiyang spent forty-nine days reforging the Divine Sand.

The Heavenly Azure Divine Sand was already dazzling with colors; during the refining process, Shi Feiyang used Nine Heavens Yuan Yang Great Technique and infused it with Daoist Taiyin Pure Yang True Fire. This made it even more radiant, casting ten thousand streaks of rainbow light.

After the refining was done, he handed the Divine Sand to the Red Corpse God Monarch. The Red Corpse God Monarch was so moved, he didn't know what to say, "I have nothing with which to repay you, I can only promise True Master this: no matter when or where, should True Master send word, I am at your disposal—to climb the knife mountain or descend into the sea of flames, even at the cost of my life, I would not shirk from it!"

Shi Feiyang laughed heartily and waved his hand, "There's no need for such extremes. All you need to do is take good care of Ayin for me!"

The Red Corpse God Monarch then looked at Deng Yin with a different gaze than before, which made Deng Yin feel somewhat uneasy.

Shi Feiyang continued, "What I've helped you with now are your inner demons. There are still external demons in your future tribulations. But, I don't plan to tell you who it is, to prevent you from harboring resentment and seeking them out prematurely, only to exacerbate the tribulation.

Therefore, I will not only keep it a secret but also conceal Heaven's Secret to prevent you from being able to calculate the cause and effect. Even if you learn who it is, you won't be able to take any action. Although I can't hide it for a long time, I will resolve it before it becomes discernible."

Deng Yin refused to accept this, his eyes showing his determination to challenge the calculation.

Shi Feiyang ignored him and said to the Red Corpse God Monarch, "The root of your external troubles is the 'Chi You Three Disks Scripture.' Why not give it to me? I was worried you'd be too attached to it, or suspect I had ulterior motives, wanting to win your favor before seeking your scripture. Now, it seems, you are not that type of person, which is why I'm asking."

The Red Corpse God Monarch did not hesitate: "I have studied that scripture for a thousand years, its contents memorized long ago. Moreover, I've indeed suffered greatly from it. If not for True Master's rescue, my future fate would have been extremely tragic. If you wish, I will now offer it with both hands. And please, never mention again any show of goodwill on your part! With your Daoist power, such demon scriptures wouldn't even catch your eye!"

Having said this, the Red Corpse God Monarch immediately took out his 'Chi You Three Disks Scripture' and handed it to Shi Feiyang with both hands, without a trace of reluctance or remorse.

At this point, Deng Yin and the Red Corpse God Monarch both knew that Shi Feiyang was referring to the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor. That the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor used Chi You's Primordial Spirit to refine the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword was no secret.

They might know it, but when they tried to deduce the sequence of events and the movements of the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor, everything was muddled—they couldn't figure out anything at all!

Shi Feiyang accepted the 'Chi You Three Disks Scripture,' and then said to Jiulei God, "The disaster your father-in-law faced was not caused solely by my disciple. The main issue was his cultivation of demon skills without proper understanding, shallow Dao but high affinity with demons, ultimately leading to his self-destruction.

Inner demons come first; facing tribulation was predestined. My fire child was merely attracted as the external demon. Moreover, you seek revenge on him, which is fine, but when his younger brothers went to honor an agreement, you repeatedly broke your promises beforehand, inevitably inviting disaster!

In the past, you were favored by the Demoness Mother and entered the Demon Palace as a son-in-law. That old demon and her daughter, both monstrously hideous, had bestowed upon you this predestined path of cultivation. Having managed their household for a thousand years, you owe them nothing more.

Now, you have two paths before you: One is to continue seeking revenge on my few disciples. I will not intervene nor restrain you. If you have the strength to kill them, it's your skill, but I fear you lack the power.

The skills you've learned from the old demon are no match for the children in my household. You've fought them twice before; a third time, you will undoubtedly meet the same fate as your father-in-law. I'm reminding you out of consideration for your essentially good nature.

If you can cut ties with the past and write off the old debts cleanly, I'll not hold old grudges against you and could think of a way for you to comfortably get through the upcoming tribulation. These two paths are for you to choose from; I'm merely advising, without coercion."

After hearing this, the Jiulei God's face went from red to white. He had long lost any kind of romantic affection for his wife and father-in-law, instead feeling a sense of gratitude. As a mortal being able to cultivate various spells and live for a thousand years, he was truly grateful to his father-in-law.

But regarding the Demoness Mother's appearance, temperament, and character, she could only attract beasts and monsters—a regular human would not harbor the slightest interest.

Jiulei God had entered the Demon Palace and married in, earnestly helping them by producing a child and managing their affairs, ensuring their safety over a millennium. According to Shi Feiyang, his debt had been repaid.

Without Jiulei God, the Demoness Mother couldn't have survived until now; she would've provoked all kinds of powerful enemies and died to heavenly calamities or human disasters. At least several hundred years of her life were fortuitous.

Jiulei God really did not want to live that celibate life any longer. Later, he even took on a female disciple, Song Xiangwa, who, although dark-skinned, was beautiful and had a captivating fragrance. Testing his wife's limits, he soon took her as a concubine.

Naturally, the Demoness Mother threw a major tantrum. While Jiulei God spoke softly, his actions remained unchanged and the Demoness Mother was helpless, left to sigh and complain to her son.

In fact, by this point, Jiulei God had changed his mind.

Before witnessing everything Shi Feiyang did for the Red Corpse God Monarch that day, he had been seething with vengeance, dreaming of the day he would have his revenge.

Yet, after witnessing Shi Feiyang composing spells, creating cultivation methods, and refining magical treasures in person for the Red Corpse God Monarch, he knew that his hopes for revenge in this life were dashed...

Moreover, the future Heavenly Tribulation that Shi Feiyang mentioned sent a chill down his spine.

In the great tribulation of thirteen hundred years, those of the Demon Path, like him, had a harder time than the irregular sects' Immortals because their cultivation techniques were intertwined with demons from this world and the Heavenly realms. Their tribulations would be several times more fierce than those of the irregular sects' Sword Immortals.

He was of a congenial nature, rarely making enemies, and the Nine Child Mother Thunder Pearls he had painstakingly refined were not intended for combat but for transcending tribulations.

Even with the Thunder Pearls in hand, his hopes of surviving the Heavenly Tribulation were less than fifty percent—let alone now that they had been taken. One could say that once the fated tribulation arrived, he was sure to be destroyed both physically and spiritually!

This Demon Tribulation was locked onto his Primordial Spirit by the forces of the Heavenly Number and Earth's energy—there was no escaping it. Even if he performed the Soldier Disintegration ahead of time to hide, his weakened power would only lead to an even worse demise!

But Shi Feiyang was his enemy, the man whose disciple had slaughtered his entire sect—his wife, concubines, and disciples all died at Shi Feiyang's apprentice's hand. How could he possibly ask Shi Feiyang to help him transcend his tribulation?

Seeing him change color and remain silent, Shi Feiyang said no more.

He didn't care much about what the Jiulei God would do, because no matter what the Jiulei God attempted, it wouldn't alter the overall situation. His words were merely a kind reminder.

Having lingered here for several days, Shi Feiyang expressed his intention to take his leave. Although the Red Corpse God Monarch tried hard to keep him, Shi Feiyang simply replied that he would visit again when time allowed.

Leaving West Kunlun, Shi Feiyang decided to look for the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor.

The two ticking time bombs he was involved with were, firstly, Deng Yin and the additional half of the Blood God Scripture as the trigger, which for now was safely secured.

The other was the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor, armed with the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword as the fuse.

Shi Feiyang was no longer afraid of anyone and wished to dismantle the fuses of both bombs.

Fortunately, for the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor to truly become a calamity, he would need to assemble all three Primordial Spirits of Chi You. Currently, only two were at hand, with the third in Shi Feiyang's possession—meaning the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor would have to seek him out to completely refine the Demon Sword.

Shi Feiyang took out the Chi You Three Disks Scripture, flipping through it casually, only to be greatly surprised at first glance!

The scripture was authentic, its text matching the style of the previous two parts, but with different content.

However, Shi Feiyang's interest in this scripture wasn't for the cultivation technique within but for Chi You's Primordial Spirit contained inside.

Yet, the scripture turned out to be empty, devoid of Chi You's Primordial Spirit presiding within!

This was an entirely unexpected turn of events for Shi Feiyang, who immediately resorted to divination. According to the Gua Xiang, the Red Corpse God Monarch had received this scripture sans the Demon God within!

This accounted for one of the reasons why the Red Corpse God Monarch, despite being a prominent figure in the Demon Path, had a more agreeable nature than other Demons of his rank.

But now the question arose: where was this third portion of Chi You's Primordial Spirit?

As it had gone missing a thousand years ago and clues were scarce, deciphering the Gua Xiang was difficult. Moreover, Shi Feiyang deduced that the Gua Xiang had been tampered with by someone, with its related Heavenly Number obscured and altered by a highly skilled individual!

Could it be that Chi You's emergence was already a foregone conclusion?

Shi Feiyang scrutinized the Gua Xiang in silence for a long while.

He sought to predict the movements of the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor. The Gua Xiang showed that he was still in seclusion at Wutai Mountain, but Shi Feiyang was certain that the Ancestor was not there...

In the following days, he traveled to Chi You's Tomb at Bu Zhou Mountain.

This was originally the location of Chi You's skeletal remains and was occupied by three Demon Corpses that had carved out an extensive Underground Palace spanning over two hundred li, full of winding and complex passages and numerous ambushes set up.

However, now they were all gone. The Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor had visited long ago, slain the three Demon Corpses, and taken the Chi You Blood Refining Sword.

Shi Feiyang searched the mountain for several days to no avail. Then, deploying the Yu Guang Disc, he delved deeply into calculations at the mountain's peak.

Ultimately, among the intertwined and complex Heavenly Numbers—nine parts truthful and one part deceptive—he managed to discern several definitive threads. The first was that the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor had not yet obtained the third part of Chi You's Primordial Spirit.

The location of this Primordial Spirit, however, remained elusive.

Because a thousand years ago, a Demon of significant power had already set his sights on Chi You's Primordial Spirit, and Chi You likewise sought to reemerge. Their mutual scheming, although ultimately unsuccessful, had thrown the Heavenly Numbers into disarray, causing it to become obscured since then.

Now, Chi You's Primordial Spirit was divided into two parts: the first part was one-third of the whole, untraceable.

The second part, two-thirds, resided within the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword.

"If I can't find the first part, then I'll go after the second," reasoned Shi Feiyang, "I'll take and destroy the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword. Whatever happens to that remaining one-third—whether it lives or where it hides—is irrelevant. Besides, I no longer need the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor to divert attention by wielding the Immortal Slaying Sword."

Shi Feiyang plotted, "I need to find a way to lure the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor out and capture his Demon Sword..."
