The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 457: 373 Snow Mountain Fights Kongtong

Ling Hun instructed Cui Wugu to stay inside the temple and not to show herself; he himself walked out of the temple, shook his body, and disappeared.

A demon from the Kongtong Sect spotted him as he appeared and was instantly shocked. He communicated telepathically with his fellows, "I think I just saw Ling Hun."

"Why would he be down here? Wasn't he supposed to be in the south?"

Everyone turned their eyes towards Evil Mute Yuan Da. Yuan Da, too, was confused, thinking to himself that the results calculated by so many people including Chen Yufeng couldn't be wrong. Using his Lifebound Divine to sense, he checked, "Everyone down here is clear, Ling Hun isn't here."

The people of the Kongtong Sect started questioning whether the first one had seen incorrectly.

"I absolutely did not see wrong! Even if that fellow turned to ashes, I would recognize him!"

"Good, whether he's here or not, we have already set up the Nine Heavens Seal Ghost-Capturing Formation. It's even better if he's inside; let's kill him and truly get revenge for the grievances we suffered at his hands in the past!"

After discussing, they started to intensify their spell-casting, first sealing off all the space surrounding the Daoist temple, not even allowing a fly to escape, then they began using the Nine Heavens Seal Great Technique to snatch souls, aiming to kill every single person inside!

The eight main people of the array first targeted eight young Taoists, casting spells to snatch their souls.

They initially thought that these young Taoists, being new to their practice, would have their Primordial Spirits easily snatched. However, despite repeatedly casting spells, there was no response.

These demon humans were greatly astonished. Although the Daoist temple had protective Immortal Array, the Nine Heavens Seal Great Technique was incredibly profound; the opponents surely could not block it, and they couldn't fathom the reason for their failure.

After several attempts with the spell and still not succeeding—not capturing a single Primordial Spirit and changing targets with no success either—they communicated telepathically, confident that the Nine Heavens Seal Great Technique couldn't possibly fail, and finally decided that all eight would target a single person to cast the spell, believing firmly that the target, regardless of what Magical Treasures or methods used, could absolutely not withstand the combined effort of eight.

They targeted the youngest-looking little Taoist and simultaneously cast the Soul Capture spell.

This time they actually succeeded. A shadow flew out from the body of the young Taoist, wrapped by the Nine Heavens Seal and rapidly ascended into the sky.

However, before they could celebrate, someone quick to react noticed—how could the Primordial Spirit of such a young, naive Taoist look like a young man?

"Ling Hun!" someone recognized and exclaimed.

"It is indeed your old ancestor right here!" Ling Hun spat out the Jade Dragon Flying Sword toward a Taoist closest to him. The attack was fast and fierce; the man had no time to dodge and was decapitated with one stroke of the sword. Just as his Primordial Spirit attempted to escape, Ling Hun raised his hand and released a golden thunderbolt, blasting his decapitated body along with the Primordial Spirit inside into smithereens!

It turned out that while they were trying to capture souls, Ling Hun used the Nine Heavens Yuan Yang Great Technique below to protect his disciples. This technique was documented in Guang Chengzi's Heavenly Book, and aside from Shi Feiyang, he too had mastered it, using it to counteract the Evil Magic of the Kongtong Sect's Nine Heavens Seal. As they eight joined forces, Ling Hun voluntarily let his Primordial Spirit be captured, letting it ascend, and immediately upon ascending, he killed one of them.

The people of the Kongtong Sect thought Ling Hun was bound by the Nine Heavens Seal Great Technique, and even a Heavenly Immortal's Yang God could be turned into a Talisman. The Nine Heavens Seal Divine Talismans, acting like shackles and fetters, captured him, never expecting that Ling Hun, with his mysterious spell, would break the Nine Heavens Seal, killing one first, then with a flick of his body, suddenly split into nine. The nine Ling Huns each darted toward nine targets; each Taoist saw Ling Hun pouncing head-on, faster than lightning, hurriedly cursing as they released their Flying Swords to block, only to see Ling Hun pounce straight onto their swords, then disappear!

On looking around, everything was still engulfed in swirling black energy with Heavely Seals drifting—below, the Daoist temple was completely shrouded, as if none of this had happened.

"What's going on? Where is Ling Hun?" everyone began searching; some forming hand seals and chanting spells, others releasing cold flames, but after much effort, they simply couldn't find Ling Hun.

"Could what we just saw have been an illusion?"

But a person had indeed been killed!

Among them, one with the highest Dao Level had a Magical Treasure capable of breaking invisibility techniques. In the surrounding area, he shot out a great amount of cold light, and suddenly in the midst of that cold light, a figure flashed past. He shouted, "He's here!" and quickly raised his hand to release a Flying Sword and a barrage of Flying Needles and Poison Fire, and cast three Secret Demon Yin Thunders.

However, his attacks hit nothing but air.

Just then, below, there suddenly came continuous thundering noises, and the winds and clouds stirred violently; under the black energy, the scene suddenly changed. Originally, disciples of the Snow Mountain Sect were positioned at various locationsни, but now they all stood in front of the main hall, on the steps stood a female immortal holding a Dragon Head Cane, none other than the White-haired Dragon Girl Cui Wugu. She harshly shouted, "You demons, shall all die together!" and raised her hand to launch Vajra Divine Fire Arrows.

Cui Wugu was skilled in crafting arrows and had several kinds of Flying Arrows, with the Vajra Divine Fire Arrow being the most powerful and capable of harming the Primordial Spirit. As soon as she acted, she released seven arrows, with each elder of the Kongtong Sect receiving one.

The people of the Kongtong Sect hurriedly released their Flying Sword Magical Treasures to block, and also cast a large quantity of Secret Demon Yin Thunders, colliding with the Divine Fire Arrows, creating loud pops and wild spraying of fierce flames.

Cui Wugu's head of white hair fluttered up as she infused all her Lifetime Skill into the seven Golden Arrows, each arrow carrying a golden thunderbolt and spraying dozens of fierce flames.

The seven people of the Kongtong Sect also had formidable Dao Techniques. With Cui Wugu's power alone not enough to confront all seven, especially since they brought many disciples, the disciples on Cui Wugu's side couldn't even release their Flying Swords; otherwise, encountering the enemy's sword tip and Thunder Fire would destroy them.
