Tower’s Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing

Chapter 183: Brother you’re slipping

[Tower or Cessation, 6th floor, entrance of a certain dungeon: ]

A dungeon was discovered a while back on the recently cleared 6th floor.

The floor itself was a safe zone where the players did not have any specific quests. The players just needed to spend a certain amount of collective time on this floor and the floor was cleared after a few weeks.

There was a great forest, natural lands, resource areas, and also various challenges for the players throughout the floor.

These challenges weren't life threatening so they were more of a leisure activity than a challenge to the players on this floor, however, the dungeon that they were standing before right now was different from these activities.

"Sir, here's the report." A certain player from the association handed Ziggy a notepad with a bunch of things written on it.

There weren't pages, just one page that he scrolled down and read thoroughly, and then handed it to the person standing beside him.

"Two parties vanished into this dungeon a week and two days ago. There has been no activity noticed inside and it is observed that anything that goes inside of this dungeon, does not come out… hmm, fascinating." Ziggy wasn't the one saying this, it was the holy knight of the north, Dame Althea.

"One of them was a party from the north while the other one just happens to be a party connected to the association. Looks like we will be working together once again." Ziggy said that, but his eyes were locked on the cave in front of them.

After reviewing the incident, it was judged that the dungeon itself wasn't of a high level.

The energy coming from it as well as the parties that went in were comparatively of a lower level. The drone equipment didn't work inside the dungeon so they didn't have any proper footage, but they could tell the dungeon itself wasn't the big threat that vanished the parties.

Perhaps it was something dangerous or perhaps it wasn't. Both the association as well as the northern higher ups were concerned about this.

The floor was supposed to be a safe zone so by nature there shouldn't be anything too threatening here, and yet if there was a party that lost its way, then they needed capable people to look into this situation.

That's why Ziggy and his team as well as Dame Althea and her own group were going in to investigate this place.

"We met a while back as well, though I think we should meet in reality the next time. We will be coming to the summit as well, remember?"

Dame was staring into the cave as well while her group ran checks on the dungeon to test the different signals coming from it.

Both of them were serious right now, and this was all about work.

"I'm looking forward to seeing you there, M'lady. Should we focus on this adversity in front of us for now?"

As serious as they were, a few from their group could not help see that straight conversation as flirting masked in seriousness.

But perhaps neither of these two had realised that themselves.

"We should, certainly. Let's run the final checks and go in. Who knows what kind of monsters or traps await us there."

"Yes."

The professor was going to accompany them in case there's another complex puzzle there like how it was on the 5th floor.

The best of the minds from around the world had come together to bash their heads against a damned wall to try and figure out the solution of the puzzle.

Had it not been for the quantum physicist who had studied ancient scriptures from east and north, they might not have been able to clear the 5th floor even now.

Thankfully, their world had smart people. And in times of challenge like this, coming together and working as one without going after the rewards was only possible because of the association's interference.

"Everything's ready from our side." Dame Althea was done with all the final checks, and the northern holy force was ready to dive into the dungeon.

"We're ready as well. Let's finish this quickly and go home." With the captains of the two teams standing at the front, the two teams composed of some of the strongest and smartest individuals got into formation.

"Oh, that's right. Your brother came back from the Northern Desert Field, didn't he? Was it three months?"

"Four. More than that actually." He knew the exact months, days, even hours since he last saw his brother, but he didn't say anything.

There was just a bitter smile on his face right now— had it not been for the important matter, he would be home hugging him right now, chatting with him, hitting him for being away for so long.

He wanted to hear all the cool things he did and everything he went through. Those messages were never enough for any of them, he wanted to hear his voice while facing him.

But he couldn't do that until this work was done.

"We should make haste then." Dame nodded at him, understanding the longing hidden within those deep blue eyes.

She took out her holy sword, the same sword that had slain countless monsters and villains till now, and the same sword that she exchanged with him.

"We're begging the U-30 dungeon run, everyone!" Ziggy took out the red sword as well, his red blazing Aura already covering the blade.

They did not know what they're going to face once they're inside, so they prepared themselves for anything that might appear before them.

[Ding!]

The two parties entered the cave, and as soon as they did, they received the familiar notification.

[You have entered the dungeon: A forgotten cemetery.]

[The dungeon mission has been presented.]

When their vision returned, Ziggy found himself standing in the middle of nowhere, with the sky above him gray, and the entire area around him covered in blue grass.

"We've been separated." When he looked around after hearing that voice, he only found one familiar face beside him, with his entire squad having vanished without a trace.

"Looks like the dungeon has a certain common quest. Everyone must have gotten the same one." Dame Althea was playing with the system screen, checking their personal squad forums that were still active in this place.

However, instead of doing the same, Ziggy did something different.

"Oh?"

He pointed his Aura covered blade at the only person he was with right now, his eyes as sharp as a hawk, not even a shard of hesitation present in them.

He was ready to cut her down if she wasn't the person she should be, and the Dame found it admirable.

"Do you not trust me enough yet?" She covered the holy sword in her hand with her holy power and placed the blade against the red sword covered in Aura.

In normal circumstances, the interaction of two different energies should have produced a powerful explosion, however, nothing happened.

"I'd trust you with my life, M'lady. However, I'd never trust this wicked tower." The harmony of the two energies was the simplest proof anyone would need.

It showcased a devoted trust between two individuals who had shared life and death battles together, someone who had complete trust in the other.

Their very energies recognised the other's presence, and even within the tower, there was no way to fake something as profound as this.

"The look on your face whenever you curse the tower is so dreadful. When will you tell me what you went through to have such deep sorrow and hatred?"

She lowered her sword, and sheathed it. Then, she looked at him with a concerned look, sadness present in her amber eyes.

"One day, perhaps. But due to the restrictions, as you know, I won't be able to tell you everything-."

"The restrictions are on the information regarding the tower. Not your suffering, not your experiences," she wanted to hug him right now, but she shook her head and caressed his cheeks instead.

"It's fine. Take your time. I'll wait till you're ready and comfortable." Her eyes, still showing sorrow, could not hide their concern from him.

"I'll try my best." He grabbed her hand, and carefully placed it down, putting his sword inside his sheath with the other hand.

"We should look around for the clues," he advised, taking a deeper breath to calm himself down.

"We have to do the quest as well. Take a look at this first." He was so on guard that he didn't pay attention to the quest window, so she showed it to him.

============

[Flowers of the ceremony.]

— The cemetery was long forgotten by the creators and the people.

— They forgot about the deceased, they moved away from their homeland, and the sacrifices of those who lay in the cemetery was also forgotten.

— The dead now wander the cemetery, not to hurt, but to tell their stories to those who stumble across this barren land.

— You, who have stumbled across the land of the forgotten, find the flower that once honoured every grave in this cemetery, and offer it to the forgotten souls, and help them move on to the afterlife.

Objective: Find Flowers and offer them to the graves, Convince the dead telling their stories to the ones who arrived here before you to let them go, Purify the forgotten land.

Rewards: A map of 1st to 10th floor, individual rewards according to the contribution.

============

The reward was too good to miss out on but, as someone who had played the Tower of Beginning, Ziggy knew a certain fact that Dame Althea did not.

"This… is a Legacy dungeon."

There was nothing like a ten floor map. Something like that would be a one of a kind item that any upper or middle floor force would fight over.

Only someone who had travelled all these floors, each part of them at that, could create a complete map for these floors.

And, even if not as amazing as a dragon's legacy, a legacy dungeon of any kind was as special as a (Loot dungeon).

"M'lady, there's something you should know about this place."

The quest description did not justify the possible difficulty of this place.

But, he understood it very well even with those few words.

This wasn't going to be easy… far from it, things might get as dangerous as the 3rd floor if they aren't careful.
