After the emotional reunion, the family went back down to the base and every guild member that was present on the base was surprised and excited to see KiRA back after so long.
They all wanted to rush up to him and ask him all about the northern desert and all the things that he did there, ask him about the monsters and whether he saw a sandwyrm or not.
They had all kinds of questions for him, they were so happy to finally see him back after so long that the new recruits who weren't around when he left were all confused by the older member's excitement.
They knew KiRA very well since he was the recruiter who recruited most of them. It wasn't a secret that he did more work than anyone else, was smarter than any of them, and was secretly more powerful than their guild master or Ziggy the fan favourite hero.
The vice guild master as well as Miss Moon who held as high a position as the vice guildmaster both reported to him.
He wasn't just the partner of their guildmaster, he was far more than that.
And, now that he was in the headlines all over the world, there were many new faces interested in him as well.
Sadly though, since the entire family was going to the private hall, they did not approach them just yet.
They knew their time would come later, and for the time being, left the family alone.
"Time for the gifts, time for the gifts~!" His Aunt Su was a child when the time for the gifts came.
They had only talked briefly since they got to the hall, but she just couldn't help herself.
She wanted to beat him up and scold him harshly, but her motherly instincts also understood the suffering that he was hiding, and the pain that he had experienced.
As much as she wanted to hurt him physically, she did not want to do anything that would harm him in any way for the time being.
He had just come back and was saying he was going to stay back for a while, so she trusted him and instead asked for the promised souvenirs as well as the things that she had asked for.
"Yes, yes, Miss little girl. Give me a minute." KiRA knew there was no helping it, and since he wanted to show the things to them anyway, he started taking out all the things he had brought from his inventory as well as the expensive storage devices that he had in the inventory.
"On this side will be the things you requested, here is the picture collection, these are all the things I got from the ruin, those are the things I found in the ruin, and I'll just put these holy fire torches to the side."
One by one, as if he was a robot from the future with a pocket with infinite storage, the things he brought out stunned the family, as well as the two guild executives who were brought in by the family.
"Sir Kai… isn't your inventory quite spacious?" Vice guild master, Mister Phil, was stunned by the sheer amount of things he had taken out of nowhere.
He knew inventories were upgraded with money, but one needed a boat load of money to add even one more space in the inventory slots.
And the storage devices? He had not even heard of them until now.
"It's nothing much, Sir Phil. Spatial devices will become a common thing after a few floors and people will find ways to upgrade their inventories without money.
Besides, inventories are supposed to be a common thing for the system users."
He was pretty nonchalant about it, but the capable vice guildmaster was only sighing at the sight.
The amount of things he had brought out weren't the only thing that stunned him either.
KiRA had a collection of physical pictures from the entire northern desert fields.
Even when not counting anything from the ruins, those golden flame lamp-like things, or the items and scrolls, the photos alone were great evidence for the academic research.
'Since no technology works in the desert field with all kinds of micro particles, it's difficult to bring any kind of camera.'
How he produced those images was beyond them, but they were there. And in them, there were stories that the world did not know yet.
"I also have a bunch of corpses that you two will like but I'll drop it off at your lab later. Oh, I was unlucky enough to encounter a few sandwyrms as well so I brought some samples from them… they aren't direct ones though so I'll apologies-."
"No dummy! This works just fine!" Lizzy's mom had dashed forward and was looking at the finely sealed remains of a creature that was far beyond their current levels.
She was breathing heavily as she analysed the samples with her unique skills, and right beside her, his Aunt Su was looking through the Sand samples that he had brought back, doing pretty much the same thing as her soulmate.
The two ladies were so excited to see all the other things that they ignored the pictures completely and started going through the organic things one by one, not missing even the dangerous samples KiRA had to seal in special costly containers.
He did not want to miss any of the things he came across so he even secretly collected some samples from the time he was summoned by the Dungeon manager, the being whose mere acknowledgment granted him a broken skill.
"I am just showing you these for now. You're NOT going to work with any of them without me present, understood?"
The reason KiRA told them he was going to be here for a while was also related to this.
He wanted to test and analyse a few of the samples by himself as well. And with these two great mothers, he had all the help he would ever need… as well as all the trouble he could ever have.
"You don't have to tell us the obvious, hehe."
"I can tell this is pretty dangerous stuff. Just what we needed after that last project."
After growing plants from the tower artificially, they had also found ways to synthesize different earthly materials with things from the tower.
Both of them were from the tech field, but after awakening as players, they were scientists, biologists, researchers, and the most curious ladies on the continent.
He was worried what he was going to do when they enter the tower or come in contact with similar crazy people from the tower.
'And I know just how tame they are compared to the crazy freaks like the mage tower master or that damn inorganic alchemist. I don't want them to fall further than this.'
But he knew how the curious geniuses who were exposed to a world they had longed for would evolve… he had seen it before and he was seeing it once again with his two mothers.
"I'll believe you two, ok? Don't do anything that makes me sad," thankfully, just as they knew how to handle him, he knew how to handle these amazing ladies as well.
As curious as they were, they weren't obsessive enough to harm their children. Aunt Su, especially, wasn't going to touch the boundaries of the things she shouldn't.
"Now then.
The torches or lamps that you see there contain holy fire, each can create a safety zone where people gain a buff against 'negative' elements and are healed on the same level as a high level healing skill.
The items are different, valuable artefacts from the Tatar dynasty and each one of them are pretty special.
Their value cannot be compared to the items that we get from the floor rewards at this stage.
The magic scrolls are resources more valuable than the items. They not only grant a limited use of the spells engraved on them, they also help mages learn those spells if they can disassemble it.
Aside from that, these things here are traps that I collected from the ruins, and those are reports I wrote on the ruins as well as a dungeon that was connected to it."
KiRA did not spend his last few nights sleeping. He was organising everything here, and when he was in the ruins, he was doing the same.
The long reports on the dungeon, the ruins, as well as the fields were detailed enough to be presented at an official gathering of researchers.
The world would have an uproar once these things were out, however… The reason they were out here right now, before only these people, was simple.
"They have to be regulated." Hoarding this information wasn't the goal but sharing it with only the right people was going to be the right path.
They didn't know who or what could stand against the advancement of humanity, and there were already forces out there who wanted to kill off their progress.
'The association president might be working on it by taking matters into her own hands, but she won't be able to do everything by herself.'
It's not that she wasn't strong enough. There were just as many limitations on her activities as there were powers granted to her.
She cannot do just anything just because she had the knowledge and authority. She was also bound by the rules or the system and Laws of the tower.
If anything, the restrictions on her should be much greater.
'Yet, she was finding ways to help them.'
KiRA had an idea about a few things, so he could tell what kind of position she might be in right now.
But that was also the reason they couldn't meet just yet.
He also wanted to help her, but there were other ways to help.
Ziggy was the medium connecting him with the association, so he did not have to move himself.
Once he did start moving in the light, there would be no turning back.
And that time had yet to come…
"Oh, that's right. Where's Ziggy anyway?" He hadn't seen him since he came back.
Was he out at the association for some kind of work?
