<24 September 2024, GRAND MESA OF SUMMER, A+> [Theo and Julia] Theo and Julia read through the question completion message.

System Message Regarding: Completed Royal Claim Description You have slain the Royal Line of Summer

You receive the following:

1x Land Deed 8x Cache Token

Note: N/A

Theo grabbed the land deed, and Julia grabbed the Cache Tokens that suddenly appeared in the air in front of them. Theo was about to Identify the Land Deed when another box popped up in front of himself and Julia.

Introduction: Natural Royalty For complete the Introduction quest 'Royal Claim', you are granted the following information.

Natural Royalty, such as the Ents that you just killed, are what the System refers to as Mana Aberrant creatures. Had they not been exposed to the amount of mana that they were, they would probably have been normal. But overexposure to mana has resulted in their mutation and dependence upon the mana. Due to this, they claim land and siphon magic from it to continue to grow. The System tags them as Royalty and gives them appropriate titles to mark and motivate their killing, giving rewards for the death of Natural Royalty commensurate with their level.

More often than not, part of the reward will be a Land Deed that allows System-approved ownership of the land that the Natural Royals had claimed.

As far as the titles and extents of proverbial 'Royal Families', the System generally picks something local to the planet that the Royals can be found on. It is generally impossible for Natural Royals to develop in populated and settled areas, but there are exceptions.

Now that the System appreciates the slaying of Natural Royals, after slaying fifty individual royals, the System will grant a title. As well as after three Noble lines.

Those who have proven adept at dealing with Natural Royals will, on occasion, be tasked by the System or one of its agents to kill a set of Natural Royals.

"That is interesting," Theo said, looking at the Land Deed. "I guess this will expand the land that we have claimed."

Julia nodded, "It is interesting that the System has elected to give them titles associated with nobles."

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

Ordus, who had finished with his level up, spoke up, "I have heard rumors that it is the System's way of reminding those who end up in power that it can and will place a price on the heads of the royalty if it wants or needs to, and someone will come along to collect."

Theo smiled, "Oh, I like that. Well, let's look at this thing."

Theo Identified the Land Deed.

Identification of Target Subject: Land Deed Level: 15 Mana Density: A+ Class: N/A Special: System Recognized Species: N/A Other: Land Transference Description This Land Deed grants the holder System Recognized rights to the land formerly claimed by the King of Summer. This includes the following:

Northlake Ent Throne Dungeon Mountain Root Causeway Emberbranch Canopy

Value: 125G_27S_58C Status: N/A

Despite the strange names, the System Glyphs that formed the notice gave them an exact understanding of what land was being described. A stretch of land from the cliff foot out almost two hundred yards along the foot of the Overlook cliff was the Mountain Root Causeway. A cops of trees with shimmering orange bark on their upper branches, covering about fifteen acres, was the Emberbranch Canopy. Northlake was the lake and its surrounding environs, linking the two other areas.

"There is a dungeon," Theo said excitedly.

"There is," Julia said, her voice varying notes of anticipation, "but first we should get this all packed up and back to the Overlook."

Theo nodded and then handed Julia the Land Deed, which she placed into her pouch.

Everyone had finished their level-up by now. Theo once again worked with the others to get all the bodies into the dimensional storage. When they shoved the last Summer Lion into the Dimensional Storage, the space looked incredibly full. The door closed, and the space vanished.

Theo looked around at the group as the sun started to paint the sky orange as it set. "Good work, everyone. Now, let's head back to the Overlook."

Without warning, Sarah closed her eyes and vanished with Skully in hand. Theo shrugged, and then everyone one after the other followed suit until only Theo was left. He looked around and then triggered his own recall to the lantern.
