The Original Beefcake

Chapter 141: Building a Future

Marcus' head felt like a beehive. It wasn't that he was thinking about anything specific, the opposite really. He tried to think about nothing and let his brain work through the mental miasma of the last days. One foot after the other, Marcus walked the road from the portal to Mihr Jhel, his eyes unfocused staring on the pavement under the afternoon sun. He had decided to walk, to have more time to think before he met Azaa. Even Xeen was muted since the start of the journey, just so he had some time alone to think.

The flight and the train ride had offered very little time to relax with droves of fans asking for autographs or pictures. His participation in the crusade against the covert organization had been leaked to the press (Cherry's doing for sure) and his solo defeat of a level 115 class holder was heralded as a herculean achievement. The whole context was of course ignored, but the fame of the TITAN was rising day by day. Maybe he should have kept his mouth shut and stayed a nobody. Kim had warned him…

Time went by and slowly but surely the large walls of the city grew in front of Marcus and more and more people were about. He saw soldiers, farmers, traders and children, a lot of them. He couldn't remember seeing so many children running around the fields. Was this the effect of Shen's recovery? When he finally came to the gate, he felt positively empty of thought, and moved through the busy street in automatic mode, until somebody stood right in his path. Marcus looked up in his trance and his mind broke.

There was a ginghi woman in front of him, wearing a skirt down to her knees and a tight shirt that flattered her perfect petite figure. Her black hair was short and barely covered her ears, while her sharp lined face was graced by a touch of make up, enhancing her lips and eyes. Marcus saw her long neck, how the green of her skin faded towards her chest and knew those beautiful, deep dark eyes… he knew… but… how… what… "Azaa," he whispered and his face burned up.

She was so unbelievably cute and sexy at the same time, his heart nearly gave out. "Azaa," he said again, but with more energy. The strange and yet familiar woman smiled and it was like the sun broke through the clouds and pure bliss filled Marcus' every thought. She stepped forward, put her hands on his hot face and neck, and kissed him. The last days evaporated from Marcus' mind and he put his arms around her, holding her tight. A shiver went through both of them and now she spoke, "Hello, Marcus." And it was the soft voice of his beloved Azaa.

He had questions that needed answers, but they had to wait! Azaa pulled him along to her house, only stopped by desperate kissing. They went up the stairs, but never reached the bed. At the end of the stairs, on the floor, Marcus gave into his desires and she burned as hot as him. Her clothes looked wonderful on her but they needed to give way, to let Marcus worship her beautiful body underneath. He couldn't wait and neither could she. Eager, hungry, they untied and when she exclaimed her pleasure to the heavens, Marcus only existed to love her, body and soul.

They moved over the floor aching, kissing, laughing until they, by pure coincidence, found the bed. In a moment of calm between the acts, Marcus looked at Azaa before him, moving his hands through her hair until she kissed and licked his fingers. He lifted her up onto the bed and turned her around. Before he could make a move, she was already pressing her hips eagerly against him, unashamedly asking for more.

Marcus knew by now that Azaa especially liked it this way and he didn't let her down. It was hard to say, if at all, that one enjoyed it more than the other, and her hips didn't stop moving until Marcus finally fell onto the bed, happy beyond reason. But Azaa wasn't done with him yet. Gazing at him, with still hungry eyes, she mounted him. For five minutes she allowed him rest, while she continued to enjoy the body of her human mate. As time passed Marcus could see the fire in her eyes burning ever brighter and soon their bodies were consumed once more by heat and sweetest agony.

The sun turned red and eventually vanished. Marcus listened to Azaa's breath and her beating heart, while she rested on his chest. He had no desire to do anything, but to be with her. All his useless worries and complex thoughts were gone. Slowly his beloved turned her head and her eyes met his "What happened to your hair… and make up… and clothes…?" He whispered, finally willing to ask questions. "Do you like it?" She asked, and Marcus laughed softly. "I love it. All of it. But why did you do it?" He wanted to know, and felt somewhat insecure about her potential answer.

"To change and to be more beautiful for you," Azaa said, without a moment's pause. He let her words run through his mind and wanted to say something, but her finger closed his lips. "I feel very, very good like this. Like I have grown younger by a hundred years," she suddenly laughed. Azaa touched her own hair and smiled at him, "In my youth, I wore my hair like this too. Only later I grew it out because I thought it would make me look more feminine. When I learned you prefer short hair on women, I happily changed it back to this state." Marcus blinked in surprise.

Did he like shorter hair on women? He could think of one woman… and then there was the undeniable reaction he had when he saw Azaa just now. "Did Janette tell you to cut your hair and to use make up?" Marcus asked and tried to understand how all of this had happened. Azaa leaned forward to kiss him and then moved further to allow him to kiss her breasts. Before long she pulled back and looked at his excited face.

"At first I did, but Janette recommended me to a specialist in male seduction," she said and Marcus was confused who that could be. "Who?" He asked, and Azaa smiled and said, "Rin." NEVER, NEVER had Marcus expected this answer. Rin? Stoic, unassuming Rin?

"She told me you like shorter hair on women and taught me about human make up and also showed me some basics clothing you would like. I haven't yet gotten around to try the lingerie she got for me…," Azaa said, with an innocent tone. How does Rin know these things? How can she tell what he liked, if not even he knew until he saw it?

He needed to investigate this once he was back, but now…. "Azaa, if it is okay for you, I would like to stay longer this time. At least a few days," he whispered and she smiled, showing her teeth. "You remember how I told you, I would be okay seeing you once a week? I was wrong," she said and then straightened her back. "I demand half of your time for myself. I need you here with me and I want to build a life with you," she said with sudden determination.

Marcus let a few seconds pass and wondered how it was possible that this magnificent being wanted to share all her existence with him. "I want to be with you, today and forever," he said and she returned into his arms. Marcus waited while she performed her ritual of marking him. Half a dozen times she bit his neck and shoulders, until she finished by sinking into a long, passionate kiss with him.

When their lips finally parted, Azaa wanted to know what happened on Earth after she had left. As Marcus told her about the events, she praised him for unlocking his new ability, but not much later scolded him for taking such risks, engaging enemies with much higher level than himself. "Don't try this with ginghi. Humans lack training and experience and can hardly make use of their abilities, the ginghi are different. We level slower, but are stronger for it," she explained, and looked rather smug about it.

The final revelation was about the Phantom Killer, and it made Azaa sick and angry. "Not even monsters are this twisted! That human deserves death and nothing else," she said and Marcus was with her on that idea.

The night continued and for some reason Marcus' mind felt much clearer now. Certain thoughts and ideas from the past resurfaced without even trying. "I want to learn more about the ginghi and about you. I still feel like I have only just met you. Also, could you please teach me your language? I feel it is important for me to understand what you and other ginghi are saying and writing," Marcus said, and Azaa tilted her head.

She thought for a while before she spoke, "As my bond, you will not only have the privilege of learning all of our secrets, you will also have the duty to keep them. Learning our language is a very good decision and I will support you as best as I can. And there is one more thing…." Marcus took in all her words and reflected on their meaning, before he nodded, to show her he was ready for the rest. "My father, he sees for you a future as a Protector," Azaa spoke very slowly, watching Marcus's reaction.

Her words caused a flurry of emotions inside of Marcus and he needed a second to figure stuff out. "I do have duties and commitments too. My clan, my friends, I can't abandon all...," he said, but Azaa shook her head. "Nobody asks you to do so. But you need to understand that being bonded means actually sharing your life. It means moving together and also changing together. If we spend our lives only living next to each other, then we will never be a bond." Azaa explained and Marcus recognized her rational and clean thoughts.

I need to accept that things aren't going to stay the way they are. That us being together automatically comes with certain consequences that will fundamentally change my life, Marcus thought. Azaa gave him a worried look. "I said too much, too fast," she mumbled, more to herself than to Marcus. "This is a lot," he whispered, and kissed her hair. "We don't need to be hasty, we have time," Azaa said and Marcus agreed.
