After all of the excitement, Marcus and Azaa sat down at her dinner table with some distance between them, to avoid unwanted accidents. The heat in their bodies only slowly cooled down, but in time she started to talk "We need to learn more about it each other. So tell me, what do you want to know?" He took a deep breath "Why… why do you love me? Why me? A young human." He said and she nodded. Marcus could see her formulating an answer.
"I am physically attracted to you, I desire you. I enjoy your intellect, your warmth and gentleness. I value your courage and strength, your determination and honesty. The way you look at me, and value my body and mind. How you treat me as a woman and give me respect fitting my abilities." Azaa quickly said all of these things and then added "I can not endure the thought you could belong to another woman. I did not dare to wait any longer with approaching you in fear a human woman could take you away from me." She finished and looked at him waiting for a reaction.
"Wow." was all he could say at first. Marcus was overwhelmed and unbelievably happy. "You think I'm such a great person, even though you are the incredible one." he whispered. The heat in the room increased again and Marcus could see his own cravings reflected in her eyes. He leaned back and consciously relaxed his muscles, this was not the time. "Can I ask you a question too?" Azaa's soft voice instantly pulled him back and he nodded with a smile. "Why did you pursue me instead of Uela? Men naturally are drawn to her." she said with a very serious look on her face.
Pursue her? Marcus thought. When did he… Marcus tried to understand what she meant. Yes, he had spent time with her, the circumstances asked for it. They had been talking, discussing and later on playing games together, but he could not see how he ever gave her the impression to pursue her. The only thing she might interpreted that way were the formal gifts that… and it hit him right in the face. The long game of the demon, he finally saw it. All this time, since the start, Janette had been setting them up. Why did he not notice? Or did he not want to notice? And how did Janette know about his feelings before he knew?
"Marcus? Do you not want to tell me?" Azaa asked and Marcus quickly shook his head "To be frank, Uela is breathtakingly beautiful. It is hard for a man to look at her and not have his heart beat faster. But beyond that, I do not feel any meaningful connection to her. With you, it was the opposite. Once the first wave of fear had vanished, I thoroughly enjoyed all our meetings. Hearing your thoughts, watching you work, enjoying the view of your attractive body. I always felt sad when we had to part and hoped for an excuse to see you again. I quickly started to yearn for you, but truthfully never thought you would ever feel that way. Then, bit by bit you showed me compassion and affection and eventually you asked to court me, which was the best day of my life."
Marcus talked and talked and a lot of thoughts came to light. Azaa watched him all the way and after he had finished she suddenly stood up. "I think we should go out and do some physical activity. How about some training or sparring to move the body?" She said and there was a hint of panic in her words. Marcus quickly agreed and only once he was on his way to change into some training gear he realized he was about to train with Azaa.
They met at the ginghi training field and she had changed into a simple light combat armor and had a normal spear at her side. After some nervousness, warming up and performing basic movements calmed them both down. She asked him to perform some attack moves and Azaa watched him like a hawk. Soon Marcus learned, that Azaa was as direct and critical in her teaching fighting, as she was in teaching games. She was merciless in her evaluation and they started to improve on his mistakes.
Over and over he had to repeat basic movements and she corrected his actions. Concepts of energy transfer and power linking came into play, together with demands for improved enemy analysis.
"You can not just go through your basic attack patterns against advanced enemies, they will counter these obvious techniques. Variations and feints need to be part of your natural style, even more so because you are painfully slow. To be honest, you can not hope to ever land a normal hit against anybody of decent power." Azaa explained and Marcus male pride had to endure a thorough beating, but there was no arguing with her expertise.

Hours went by and long before his body broke his mind could no longer keep up with her demands. "How about you let your man rest for a while and we stretch our legs a bit?" Uela came to Marcus' rescue. She also wore basic combat armor and had a common sword in her hand. Azaa did not back down from the challenge and for now Marcus was released from his training. He leaned against the wall of the training field and watched the sisters go into position. His brain felt like a dry sponge and it was that circumstance that made him think this distance was enough for what was about to happen.
They moved, that was all Marcus could tell. Both of them were a blur, air waves raced over the field and hit Marcus together with sand and gravel. They naturally moved at speeds he had only seen from some of the fastest humans and Accelerators. The impact of Uela's abilities shook the ground and she quickly took the lead in this sisterly match. Even though he could not fully understand what was happening, it made sense. Azaa had a long range and support class, while Uela as a Lancer, was built for direct combat. With a heavy blow they collided and broke up again. Azaa moved in again, but suddenly she stopped still, like she was frozen.
Somehow Uela was able to control her movement and the grin on her face told Marcus she enjoyed holding her sister like that. Her expression suddenly changed when blood started run over Azaa's body. Deep red symbols formed over her body and Uela said something in her language before Azaa managed to move her hand and Uela was on her knees fighting some invisible power. The air around Azaa had changed, she was menacing and her raw power made Marcus' hair stand up. An explosion shook the field, the shock wave hit Marcus unprepared. Uela was gone and Azaa looked into the sky, her sister was a tiny point hundreds of meter up. Marcus knew this was going out of control, and he had the suspicion it had something to do with him.
Uela returned and brought the wrath of the heavens with her. The feeble training weapons were long abandoned and they fought hand to hand. Should he try to stop them? No, he would get torn apart if he tried to get close to the high speed battle, Marcus thought. With every second that went by his sense of dread grew, that one sister would end up seriously hurt. Marcus had no idea how Azaa manged to keep up with Uela in such a close combat battle, but no sister was willing to back down.
"They have not been lively, in long time." The voice next to him said in broken English. Marcus turned, and Shen stood just two meters away from him and watched his daughters. "Azaa does not want loss because of you. Uela enjoys fighting with sister too much." He smiled and Marcus felt overwhelmed by all of this. Shen shouted a few words in the other language and the women instantly stopped. The field was a mess and both of them looked visibly rough. Uela was bleeding from her lip and arm, while Azaa had cuts over her face and her armor looked very torn.
Now that Marcus watched her, a lot of Azaa's clothing was gone, revealing the skin underneath. Uela smiled and Azaa saw Marcus' look, and all fight left her body and turned into awkwardness. The two women argued and their father quickly interjected. Both of them walked off and Uela waved to Marcus with a smile.
Marcus bowed to Shen and then quickly caught up to Azaa, who was walking out of the training field. He took her hand and made her stop once they were at a secluded spot in the hallways, that connected the outside and the training area. She was breathing heavily and her hair was a mess, sweat was on her skin, a lot of skin on her legs and her belly was exposed. "I am a mess. Please don't look." she said but he could not resist kissing her. They touched and he proved to her that he did not mind the sweat on her skin. After confirming they were alone he went further down and kissed her exposed white stomach and light green legs.
Azaa pulled him up with super human strength, pushed him against the next wall and with her bare hands tore apart the shirt over his shoulders. Her sharp incisors sank into his muscles and her body pressed him against the wall. He put his arms around her and gently stroke her hair while she slowly calmed down. With her face against his neck she whispered "I want you to be mine. The thought of losing you terrifies me. That I could somehow fail in your eyes or misstep and lose your affection makes me erratic and stupid." Marcus kissed her hair and gently moved her face up and used his lips to make all her worries go away. A few blessed seconds they stayed that way, before they heard people coming and they separated.
They parted ways to change into something decent, and some times later Marcus knocked on her door again. Azaa opened and looked neat and orderly "Come in." She said and he moved right by her. Food was on the table, and to Marcus' surprise Uela was already digging in. She grinned from one ear to the other "Look at you two, pretending to be all decent." She said. Marcus smiled and took Azaa's hand as he walked to the table "We do not need to be decent, we are in a relationship." He said, and Uela laughed and replied "That I live to see the day." Azaa growled but sat down next to Marcus.
They spent an enjoyable evening together and the sisters had many questions about Earth and humanity. From daily trivia to history and politics, they wanted to know all kind of things. Still, Marcus had to leave soon, he had duties that waited for him. He knew that and Azaa knew that too, but saying goodbye right now was painful.
In the end the two sisters escorted him to the portal and the love birds kissed in spite of Uela. "Next time we will perform the ritual." Azaa said and Marcus nodded. She leaned to his ear and whispered "Afterwards…" and then she used some words Marcus had no idea where she had learned them, but his head burned up and his mouth became dry. She looked him into the eyes and gave him one last goodbye kiss. Marcus staggered back home and never in his life had he been looking forward so much, to getting his blood drained.
