Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 869: Tundra's Battle

Tundra didn't slow down as the effects of his potions or drinks wouldn't last very long.

He ducked under Ves's swing and slammed his elbow into the creature's side. Another bomb was planted.

Ves retaliated with a wide arc of his steel pipe, but Tundra jumped back, letting the weapon crash into the ground.

Boom!

The impact cracked the stone from that strike! If Tundra were there, he would certainly become minced meat!

However, Tundra's reflex was boosted, and he was able to circle at Ves and landed another hit on the shoulder joint. Third bomb.

The biomechanical zombie roared and charged forward, ignoring the damage. It was still a Zombie Lord after all. His punches would not hurt the Zombie for sure!

But it was enough to annoy the Zombie Lord as its mechanical limbs moved faster!

Thanks to his Silver Pulse Stimulant, his body surged with speed, his vision had sharpened and his reflexes doubled.

He dodged through Ves's attacks and planted two more bombs… One on the spine, one near the left knee.

"Five down," he muttered. "Fifteen more."

Behind him, Warden Units were repositioning. Reylin had redirected fire toward Sunny, who was now walking calmly through the mist.

Sunny didn't run fast like Ves. Nonetheless, despite being bombarded, he didn't flinch. He just walked like he was unbothered by any of their attempts to stop him..

The red robes protected him, and the golden crown seemed to enhance his strength.

Then, he raised one hand.

Sunny released an energy that spread across the battlefield. It wasn't visible, but everyone felt it.

Inside the Command Center, Reylin couldn't help but feel shocked.

"Psychic interference!" one operator said. "World's Touch Sculptures are holding, but this might be too much!"

Indeed, the World Touch Sculptures gave them passive defense against such power. However, this might get dangerous if it weren't stopped at all.

Reylin didn't hesitate. "Keep the shields stable. Don't let him break the line. Focus on the Spirit Cannons on that thing! I will send Captain Duran to deal with this Zombie.

Back on the field, some survivors clutched their heads… Others staggered as the Zombie Lord's invisible attack hurt their brains.

Sunny's ability was affecting their minds!

But at this time, Tundra was strong enough not to care.

He was locked in with Ves, and he had a job to finish.

He grabbed the zombie's arm, twisted, and slammed his knee into the torso. Another bomb was planted.

Ves tried to grab him, but Tundra slipped free and rolled behind.

He punched the back again. Ninth bomb!

Then, Ves finally landed a hit.

The steel pipe slammed into Tundra's side, sending him flying into a pile of debris.

Thud!

His light armor absorbed most of the impact, but the pain still hit. Well, he couldn't wear his Tyrant Set or any heavy armor, as he would probably fail to dodge or plant bombs if he were too slow.

Still, Tundra was a high-level Survivor, so he only coughed once, then stood up.

"Alright," he muttered. "You want to play rough?"

He took a deep breath as he felt the Warmheart Infusion within his body... His Spirit and body had synced, and his damage output had surged.

He just needed to be more confident now!

He charged again and planted more bombs!

Ten bombs. Eleven. Twelve.

Each movement was calculated. It was not to kill the Zombie but to simply touch it!

Indeed, he wasn't just fighting the Zombie Lord, he was setting up the kill.

And Ves didn't even know it.

***

Tundra stepped back as he started breathing heavily. It was a lot of work.

Even if he only needed to plant twenty bombs, it was not easy against a Zombie Lord!

If it were anyone else, they would certainly fail in just the first attempt!

He was only able to do this since he was already Level 55 and had a lot of Epic and Legendary Equipment on his body!

Nonetheless, he already succeeded! 20 Bombs has been planted!

His armor was scratched. His left shoulder was bruised. But he was still standing.

Ves, however, wasn't slowing down.

The biomechanical zombie's body was covered in burn marks, acid streaks, and impact dents. But its mechanical limbs were adapting to his moves…

At his 19th and 20th Bomb, Tundra even felt that the Zombie was able to perfectly predict his movements, no matter how unpredictable his movements were.

Then, Ves stopped moving.

Its mechanical eye seemed to light up…

Tundra narrowed his eyes. "What's it doing?"

Suddenly, Ves slammed both fists into the ground.

A shockwave burst outward, knocking back debris and forcing nearby Warden Units, who were trying to suppress it, to stagger!

Tundra braced himself as he slid back a few meters.

Then, Ves roared again… But this time, its voice carried a strange energy...

A wave of corrupted energy spread from its chest, disrupting spirit flow in the area!

It was similar to a Silence Skill!

***

Inside the Command Center, Reylin saw the situation!

"Ves is releasing a suppression field! It's interfering with Survivor Skills!

One of the operators shouted, "Tundra's in danger! The bombs might not detonate properly!"

Reylin didn't hesitate. "Send the Warden Units! Protect Tundra! Send someone to give Tundra the Dragon's Veil Elixir!

They knew what kind of trouble Tundra would get into if he couldn't detonate his bombs!

As expected, Tundra also realized his situation.

"Shit… You can do that?"

Tundra gritted his teeth.

He could feel the interference. He couldn't activate any of his Talent or Survivor Skills!

But the bombs were still there.

He activated his communication and immediately asked for help!

"Reylin—"

"Don't worry! Someone's coming to bring you an Elixir to help!" Reylin said without even letting Tundra finish.

Ves was now walking toward him again. Its mechanical limbs were glowing, and its chest was pulsing with the energy he used to suppress their Survivor Skills.

In his estimate, within a 200-meter range of this field, no Survivor would be able to use any Skill at all.

At this time, whoever Reylin had sent, he could only hope that he would get here faster!
