Lin Feng watched the children playing in the living room, then pointed to the litter box and said, "Kids, it's time to clean the litter box!"

He recalled how he would clean it every morning after breakfast.

Playing the role of 'Dad', the eldest and the fourth looked at the litter box, somewhat at a loss. Lin Feng proactively took the box to the bathroom and showed the boys how to be official 'poop scoopers'.

Lin Feng's first time as a poop scooper had been an unforgettable experience. The smell had almost done him in.

As expected, when the eldest and the fourth grasped the small shovel, they both grimaced at the odor. The fourth couldn't take it and rushed out of the bathroom, leaving the eldest standing there alone, unsure of what to do. With a PITTER-PATTER of feet, the fourth ran out, only to return reluctantly a few moments later.

Lin Feng had been observing in secret the whole time. He watched as the two boys stood before the litter box, deeply conflicted. Lin Feng had bought odor-resistant cat litter and even added deodorizing beads, yet the smell was still hard to describe.

Finally, after a long discussion, they decided to get to work. They established a clear division of labor, taking turns, one scoop each. Lin Feng scooped the litter every morning and evening, so there weren't too many clumps in the morning. It was just that the children weren't used to the smell yet.

Both the eldest and the fourth were capable of handling dirty work. They covered their noses with their chubby little hands and carefully scooped out the clumps. One scoop at a time, they began their work as little poop scoopers.

Just then, Fat Fat arrived. Meowing, he sat down nearby and watched with curiosity. True to the nature of his breed, Fat Fat had become as plump as a little piglet. As the saying goes, nine out of ten orange cats are fat, and the tenth is a giant.

The fourth grumbled as he worked. "Fat Fat, how can you poop so much? How do you even do it?"

Lin Feng wondered about that, too. How could such a small belly hold so much poop?

The fourth continued, "Fat Fat, look how fat you are! Maybe you should go on a diet?"

Fat Fat ignored him, just watching with curious eyes. The fourth kept talking as he worked. The eldest, who had been working in silence, couldn't take it anymore.

"Little brother, stop talking," he said. "Let's hurry up and finish. I'm about to die from the stink!"

At last, the two little ones finished cleaning up. They stumbled out of the bathroom, gasping for breath.

Lin Feng said with a laugh, "When I was taking care of you, the dirty diapers you made every day were just as stinky as Fat Fat's! Dad had to endure the smell, too, cleaning up your poop and pee to raise you. It wasn't easy! From now on, the job of feeding Da Bai his dog food and Fat Fat his cat food is yours."

The fourth reacted quickly. "Then, Dad, who's going to scoop the poop?"

Lin Feng pretended to think for a moment. "How about this: once you're in senior kindergarten, that task will be yours. For now, Dad will handle it."

Both little guys couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

「On Zhang Yuxi's end.」

While Zhang Yuxi was playing with the children, the second and third started tidying up and putting away their toys. Lin Feng, meanwhile, took the boys upstairs.

"We have laundry to do today. Dad will show you which clothes need to be washed, and we'll put them in this laundry basket."

The eldest carried the laundry basket while the fourth put the dirty clothes inside. In reality, Lin Feng had already done the laundry, so there wasn't much to wash. He was just doing this to give the children more chores and let them experience how difficult it is to be a parent.

After gathering the clothes, Lin Feng put them in the washer-dryer combo. Even with the drying function, he still preferred to air them out afterward.

Lin Feng took out spinach, green beans, and celery, then helped them put on their little aprons.

"Come, Daddy will show you how to prepare the vegetables," he said patiently. "For the spinach, pluck the leaves one by one and place them neatly in this basket. These are green beans; we need to snap off both ends, see? And this celery, break it in the middle, and then we have to pull off these tough strings..."

"Okay, you can start now!"

Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi watched the children, helping out when needed. They did a surprisingly good job. Except for the celery, which Lin Feng knew he'd have to fix later, everything else was fine. He brought over a basin of warm water and let them wash the green beans and celery. The spinach was something they wouldn't be able to clean properly on their own.

After all this, the children were clearly tired. The second child even sighed, "Wow, Mom and Dad have to do so much every day! It's so hard!"

It seemed that all they ever did was eat, drink, and play.

As Lin Feng washed the spinach, he asked, "Now that you know how hard Mom and Dad work, will you help with the chores from now on?"

The children all agreed enthusiastically.

While Lin Feng was cooking, the laundry finished its spin and dry cycle. Zhang Yuxi and the children hung the clothes together. Both balconies were equipped with automatic retractable clotheslines. The children were responsible for handing over the hangers, and soon, all the clothes were hung up to dry.

By this time, Lin Feng's meal was almost ready. The children ran downstairs with a PITTER-PATTER of feet to wipe the dining table and prepare for lunch. Finally, they had a moment to sit and wait for the food.

"Are you tired?" Zhang Yuxi asked.

The children nodded honestly. They had been busy; it felt like as soon as they finished one task, another was waiting for them. Zhang Yuxi tenderly stroked their heads.

After lunch, they had to clean the table and put the chairs back in place. Only after all this was done could they play. After they had played for a while, it was time for their afternoon nap. The children undressed themselves and climbed into their little beds, and before long, they were all fast asleep.

Zhang Yuxi was pleased. "The children did so well today. They didn't complain or seem unhappy at all."

Lin Feng kissed her, feeling proud of their children as well.

They slept until the afternoon. The children woke up and got dressed all by themselves. They even took the initiative to ask Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi if there was anything they needed to do.

Lin Feng opened the refrigerator and saw that it was empty.

"We need to go to the supermarket for groceries," he announced.

The children were excited about going to the supermarket. The fourth, ever the clever little imp, thought about going to the supermarket and immediately remembered he was currently playing the role of 'Dad'. He made the connection: if he was Dad, he must have the power to buy whatever he wanted.

So he asked with a grin, "Dad, since we're the dads now, does that mean we can buy whatever things we like?"

Zhang Yuxi was taken aback for a moment, glancing at her husband with surprise.

Lin Feng pretended to consider it. "That's right. Now that you're the dads, you can buy whatever you want!"

Upon hearing this, the children were so happy they couldn't stop grinning. The moment they arrived at the supermarket, they made a beeline for the toy aisle.

The eldest loved Transformers; the moment he spotted a set, into the cart it went. The second adored Barbie dolls. The supermarket had several good brands, and she chose the two prettiest—and most expensive—ones. The third liked anything delicate and beautiful, so she gathered up all sorts of interesting toys. The fourth was an Ultraman fan, so any Ultraman figure he liked was also a must-buy.

They had just set foot in the supermarket, and their shopping cart was already full of toys.
