My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 268: Twins Looking Down On Who?

The three glamorous, beautiful young women each had their own troubles.

And topping the list was hair loss.

Sigh...

If they kept losing hair like this, they were completely doomed!

Zhou Yi asked, "Yuxi, how come you're not going bald?"

The way she said it, it was as if going bald was the norm for their friend group.

Zhang Yuxi, with her long hair cascading over her shoulders, let the other three take turns touching her hair and checking its volume while they critiqued it from every angle.

Zhou Yi and An Lan both cried out that the world was unfair. After all, their own hair was just naturally thin.

"It's so thick and smooth, and so dark and shiny!"

"Yuxi, how on earth do you manage that?" Zhou Yi was green with envy.

Compared to Song Tian'er, who was an accountant, Zhou Yi's job as an advertising planner was the real killer. Burning the midnight oil and pulling all-nighters to work on proposals was just part of the routine. Every time she washed her hair, clumps of it would fall out. For a while, she was convinced she must have some terminal illness. But after a hospital check-up, it turned out there was absolutely nothing wrong with her.

Lately, she found herself getting irrationally irritable whenever she had to wash her hair. Eventually, she simply chopped off her long hair—out of sight, out of mind.

Zhang Yuxi looked on, bewildered. "I don't do anything special. I don't even pick out my shampoo carefully; I just use the most common kind. You could give it a try. I think it's pretty good."

Hearing this, An Lan just heaved a deep sigh. "I know the reason!"

Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er shot her a sharp look.

Zhang Yuxi was also surprised. "What reason?"

An Lan spoke with theatrical flair. "It's because she has a husband who dotes on her like a princess. She never has to dirty her hands with household chores or worry about groceries and other necessities. As for the kids, all she's responsible for is playing with them."

"Her days are just eating, sleeping, working, and amusing the children," she continued. "What's anxiety? What's earning money? She has no idea!"

An Lan clutched her chest, feigning self-pity. "Unlike us single folk, unloved and uncared for. We may look like princesses on the outside, but inside we have to be as tough as steel! Every day we toil for work and for money, slaving away. When do we ever not pull an all-nighter? If we're not the ones losing our hair, who is?"

The other three were speechless.

Zhang Yuxi was the first to object. "I do take care of the babies, okay? And I get anxious about my work every day, too!"

An Lan retorted, her words seemingly fueled by the fury of a single woman. "You have a man. What do we have? Director Lin takes such tender care of you and the kids every single day that you don't have to lift a finger for your daily needs. Any little anxiety you might have, Director Lin can solve it with a single kiss."

Zhang Yuxi was left speechless. Okay, she had to admit her days were indeed quite carefree. Any stress from work would evaporate the moment she saw her babies' and husband's smiles.

Seizing the opportunity, Zhou Yi said with a laugh, "It looks like Yuxi is living a very happy life. Tian'er and I can rest assured then."

Zhang Yuxi smiled, the sweet happiness on her face impossible to hide.

An Lan chuckled mischievously. "You guys have no idea how handsome Yuxi's husband is! Not to mention how many babies she has, right?"

Zhou Yi latched onto the keyword. "How many? Twins?"

An Lan laughed. "Our Yuxi is a legend, okay? Twins? Who are you looking down on?"

Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er were silent, both turning their gaze to Zhang Yuxi.

"Then..."

"Could it be... triplets?"

Zhang Yuxi's pretty face instantly flushed red. Why is this so embarrassing to talk about?

Seeing Zhang Yuxi rendered speechless by the question, An Lan burst into laughter. "Right, didn't you say Director Lin and the babies are playing in the park? Let's just go over and introduce them!"

The moment she finished speaking, an impatient Zhou Yi was already on her feet. She grabbed her coat while urging them on. "What are we waiting for? Let's go, hurry up."

By the time they arrived at the park, Lin Feng and the babies had just returned from the police station. After such a long walk, he felt their backs and, sure enough, they were sweating. He gently tucked sweat towels into the back of their shirts. They were all playing with new toys they had bought on the way.

"Honey? We're under a very big banyan tree, um... Great, the babies and I will wait for you."

With Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er knowing the way, it didn't take them long to reach the banyan tree. There on the grassy lawn beneath it was a strikingly handsome man. He had a clean, refined air about him and a gentle smile on his face. He was playing with the babies, his eyes brimming with a tenderness that could melt a person's heart. The occasional smile that graced his lips was absolutely devastating.

And the babies...

One, two, three, four!

There were four of them!

Although the babies looked a bit small for being over a year old, intuition told Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er that this had to be Zhang Yuxi's husband and children.

Their guess was quickly confirmed.

The man seemed to sense them, looking up before saying something to the babies beside him. The little ones all raised their heads and then happily came pattering over, calling for their mommy as they ran.

Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er took a deep breath, utterly astonished.

Si Bao ran ahead of the others and plunged right into Zhang Yuxi's arms, eager to share the story of finding the money. "Mommy, we found lots and lots of money!"

"Daddy said we can't keep it. We have to give it back!" Er Bao added, running up and rushing to get her words in.

"Daddy said someone was sick and needed the money," she continued. "The uncle who lost the money was crying!"

Da Bao chimed in, panting, "We also met a police officer. He was so stern."

San Bao came over and hugged Zhang Yuxi, smiling sweetly. "Mommy, San Bao missed you!"

From their excited, overlapping chatter, Zhang Yuxi managed to piece together what had happened. She immediately began lavishing praise on them.

"You did very well! That money was very important to that person. Otherwise, that uncle wouldn't have been so upset he cried, right? You were all so great today! Mommy gives you a big thumbs-up! Come, let Mommy give you kisses!"

Seeing this, Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er were filled with envy. The babies were just too cute and lovable.

An Lan squatted down. "Come on, come give Godmother a kiss!"

Zhang Yuxi tapped her arm lightly. "You have makeup on."

An Lan finally remembered and looked a little disappointed. "Oh, right! Well, I'll make up for it later!"

Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er were itching to hold the little angels, but the babies didn't know them yet. So, it was time for some self-introductions.

"Hi, little ones, we're your mommy's friends! I'm Aunt Zhou, and this is Aunt Song."

Zhang Yuxi nodded to the babies. "That's right, they're both Mommy's good friends!"

Er Bao, the sweet-talker, piped up, "I'm Er Bao! You aunties are so pretty!"

Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er squatted down to look at her. "What a sweet little mouth, as if it's coated with honey. You really know how to talk," they cooed. "Er Bao is very pretty, too!"
