Chapter 558 - Supernatural Security Team That Doesn’t Follow The Script

Chapter 558: Supernatural Security Team That Doesn’t Follow The Script

“Tonight, is your first mission.”

Sienna tossed a few pictures before the Supernatural Security Team.

“This house is constructed at the edge of a lake. Later, you have to enter the house with your own abilities.”

“Captain, sub-captain, won’t you come with us?” a chubby woman asked.

Ashando had been an office worker. She was also the first to get fired when they had to let people go.

She was willing to do anything for money.

She could go up against evil spirits alone with a taser.

She wasn’t a spiritualist, but she had a shockingly strong will.

In the possession training, she was the only one to get full marks.

“This haunted house is only average. If you can’t even break into an average haunted house, it’s best for you to give up on this job.”

“F*ck, it’s not like we haven’t seen evil spirits yet. What you afraid of?”

Another member, Bart Anthony, stood up.

He was a former drug addict. He looked for anything that could stimulate his nerves, such as going up against supernatural forces.

Even though he was usually just getting beaten instead of fighting.

The team also had Todd Cyrus, a weapons expert.

He specialized in modifying weapons to fight evil spirits.

Apparently, he was also an illegal arms trader.

But usually, he just smoked while producing weapons for other weapons.

He caused many accidental explosions.

There was a skinny Rudolf David, someone who fantasized about saving the world.

There was also a mean-looking bodybuilder, Gibson Tatas.

These were all of the members of the Supernatural Security Team.

“Todd, give me more evil spirit bombs,” Bart called. “The stronger the better.”

“We have a limited budget. Unless you pay me.” Todd was stingy.

Even though he often had safety issues in his workshop, he was very precise with his spending.

“I need a bulletproof vest,” Gibson said.

He was the biggest guy but also had the smallest guts.

“F*ck. We’re facing evil spirits, not terrorists. What the f*ck would a bulletproof vest do?”

“What’s our mission? How much is the pay?” Ashando asked.

“This is part of your training,” Sienna said. “No pay. Your mission is to enter the house.”

“The difficulty level?”

“Hell,” Chris said. “If you can succeed, then you won’t be threatened by 99% of all supernatural activities.”

“Hell?” Everyone grew fearful.

The training that Sienna and Chris prepared were usually easy, simple, and ordinary.

But today, they had to face something like Hell.

“Captain, isn’t the jump in difficulty too much?” Gibson stared at Sienna in fear.

“Gibson, you’re embarrassing. None of us are afraid. Why is a big guy like you afraid?” Rudolf was a hot-blooded youth. “One day, the world will need us.”

“Courage and how big you are isn’t related,” Gibson said.

“Okay. Whether you’re willing or not, this mission will happen.”

“Fali, prepare more dinner tonight. Sienna and Chris are coming over.”

“Sure. Why are they coming tonight?”

“The people who hired them formed a Supernatural Security Team. Sienna wants me to train the team.”

“Okay, God help them.”

In the evening, Sienna and Chris arrived.

“Chen, I can feel that the air is filled with elemental spirit. It’s so soothing.”

In Asia, it was called Spiritual Qi. In the west, it was elemental spirit.

It was like how Asians called the Qi you cultivated “spiritual power” while the west called it “magic.”

They were actually the same stuff.

“Maybe because it’s a good environment,” Chen Zhao said indifferently.

“No, it’s too heavy here. It can’t be natural. I didn’t feel it when I came last time either.”

“See the big tree in the back? Might be related to it,” Chen Zhao replied casually.

“Really? What’s special about the tree?”

“It’s alive.”

“Alive? What do you mean?”

“Its name is Eugenice,” Chen Zhao said. “Forest Shepherd.”

Sienna was a spiritualist, so she could accept these things.

Even though Sienna had interacted with too many strange powers, she was still shocked at a tree that could walk and talk.

However, all illogical things became logical when she remembered that this was Chen Zhao’s house.

“I think your team has arrived,” Chen Zhao said.

“Oh? Already?”

“What’s the possibility of them successfully getting over here?” Chris asked.

“Uh, probably zero,” Chen Zhao said. “My plan is to send them to the hospital.”

“Should be over there, right?”

Ashando and the others arrived at Mirror Lake. They looked at the house in the distance.

They were three kilometers away and it was night, so they couldn’t see it clearly.

“It doesn’t look like a haunted house,” Gibson said. “Did Captain get it wrong? How about we leave first? If it’s a regular person’s house and we break in, it’ll be illegal.”

“We’re already here. There’s no reason for us to leave.”

“Then how do we get over there?”

“Swim.”

“Are you an idiot? The lake is probably three or four kilometers wide. Other than the scaredy-cat Gibson, who has the strength to swim over?”

“Then what do we do?”

“Go through the forest.”

The five stood at the edge of the forest. The eerie forest had an uncomfortable feeling.

Just then, they saw a wooden sign hanging on an outer tree.

No Fire Allowed

“What does this mean?”

“Did evil spirits hang it here? Are they afraid of fire here?”

“How about we set a fire?”

Everyone exchanged awkward glances.

“Set a fire,” Ashando said. “Just do it.”

“Are you sure?” Gibson asked in worry. “Will we get reported for being pyromaniacs?”

“Coward, I’ll do it.” Todd grabbed a pile of wood and ignited it.

The fire flared quickly. An entire tree started burning.

The people who were eating a barbecue in the house’s front yard saw the fire in the distance.

“F*ck, your guys are setting a fire!” Chen Zhao yelled. “Do they want to burn my forest?”

“Huh? What should we do now?”

“I’m gonna kill them!”
