"Who made you king?" Snow frowned. "I can turn you and everyone in this room into stone, and you still talk like you have all the power."
"I agree," Godfrey said. "But you would have a few more arrows sticking out of your chest, and you might not survive this time around."
Snow's face became ugly.
Both of them locked eyes, and the moment it seemed like the tension was finally about to explode, Edwin walked into the classroom, and everyone went to their seats under his gaze.
He stood on the lectern, scanned the class, and cleared his throat. "As you all know, your tests will begin tomorrow, and Isolde Pendragon's mother has decided to give us a dungeon core capable of boosting a high tier of 5.0 - 6.0 by 0.4, tier 7.0 by 0.2, and higher by 0.1. But it would only be given to the student who ranked first."
Everyone's excited mood died the moment Edwin concluded. Such a dungeon core was rare; it was even more potent than the one Godfrey purchased for Ballista.
Such a core was hard to purchase with cash, you needed a connection to get it or clear a dangerous green gate dungeon and get it yourself, but the risks there were too high.
Many of them concluded this was just a well-thought-out scheme, as the reward would end up back in Isolde's hands.
But Godfrey couldn't help but see this as an opportunity to unseal the third door.
"Today, we'll talk about dungeon breaks, which, as we all know, happen when a dungeon gate becomes black. But we'll be more focused on how this happens in different gates. Now…"

After classes, Godfrey sat with Isaac at the cafeteria, and some tables and chairs away sat a group of freshmen girls.
"See what I told you? Godfrey has the strongest freshman under his wing and now most of the sophomores. He has divided the underclassmen from the upperclassmen," the gum girl said.
Another girl rolled her eyes. "It's not going to last. He offended the entire Nexus Club, which we all know are the strongest in the school and also the elites of other high schools, especially Polaris. You know how they throw their weight around because of their rich parents."
Janet raised an eyebrow and turned to look at Godfrey. 'Is it him that offended them? It should be the other way around. They have no idea who they've offended.'
Her eyes flashed. 'Someone who even the headmaster hides his secret.'
While they had their conversation, Godfrey blinked when Lucy came straight to his table but didn't sit. "I know you have no way of joining the Nexus Club, but that doesn't mean you should forfeit your position."
Godfrey raised an eyebrow. Where was she going with this?
"What if you establish your own club?" Lucy whispered words that made his eyes widen and Isaac stop eating.
"You can't establish something like Nexus Club. Wasn't it created by the school?" Isaac asked.
"Not exactly. I did my research. Before, the strongest in the great schools of the seven head cities were picked to compete against each other, but later on, the students began to build a hierarchy such as the clubs and the leaders who were kings, queens, and knights."
Isaac's spoon almost fell off his hand, while Godfrey reached out to his chin, pondering how he didn't notice when Lucy sat down.
"The clubs were made official after a while, but it was the initiation of a student. The school-created clubs are the sports clubs, and the rest, which some of us are into," Lucy then faced Godfrey.
"Creating your club will help you. I don't think you can fight the entire Nexus Club and the seniors that back them by yourself," she added.
"What is the club supposed to do, and who would want to join a club knowing fully well it would make them the nemesis of Nexus Club?" Godfrey asked skeptically.
"We could clear green gate dungeons. We're already doing it, and in the club, you don't have to be a junior or sophomore. Even a freshman can join."
Isaac's enthusiastic tone made Godfrey glance at him with the 'when did you buy this idea' look.
"If you're worried about who would join, I think you already have two candidates," Lucy spoke, her eyes brightening as she wasn't thrown off from the very moment she came close.
"Who?" Godfrey raised his eyebrows.
"Isolde and Percival." The names Lucy said stunned both Godfrey and Isaac.
"You want to snatch Nexus Club's queen and their number three? Two of Manhattan's aces in one go!" Isaac found the thought of it as hilarious as it was frightening.
Godfrey folded his arms. He and Percival had never spoken to each other, but he was strangely helping him. It was either because he was a like-minded fellow or there was another reason behind it.
"So… what are we going to call the club?" Isaac asked Lucy.
"I don't have a name. I think Godfrey should bring the name, but he'll have to meet with the headmaster first. If we have his permission, it will make our club official and a part of the school so no one can shut it down," Lucy replied before facing Godfrey.
"You'll have to meet the headmaster."
Godfrey squinted. He could remember having a phone call with the headmaster, and he sounded like a stern person. How could he barge into the office of a man who barely knew him with such a big topic like this?
It seemed quite daunting, especially if the headmaster might be supporting Nexus Club's order.

After school, Lucy was on her way back to the girls' dormitory with Janet.
"Is that your brother?" Janet asked as they saw Sam in the distance, walking toward them. He had a bruise on his lip, like he had engaged in a fight and lost sorely.
Lucy rushed toward him with a concerned face. Before she could utter a word, Sam raised his hand and threw a slap that sent Lucy to the ground.
His eyes gleamed with hate. "Do you know what you've done? You've ruined my life!"
