My Seven Wives Are Beautiful Saintesses

Chapter 139: Trap (2)

Vahn maintained his composure, standing firm against the crushing aura of the Void Shattering Elders. The group of cranky old men watched, utterly bewildered that a young man could withstand their combined spiritual pressure.

"You managed to stand, little rat," the lead Supreme Elder sneered, finally withdrawing his projected aura. "But your trick only delays the inevitable. Hand over the traitorous Saintess and tell us where you hid the divine treasury."

"I see the White Lotus's faith extends only to kidnapping children and attacking weaker opponents with phantom forms," Vahn retorted, his voice cold with contempt. "You are an insult to the word 'Supreme.'"

"Silence! The shame you bring the Faction must be repaid!" thundered the female Supreme Elder, her eyes blazing with Light energy.

The Elders attacked simultaneously. No longer relying on mere aura, they unleashed the full, terrifying might of their Void Shattering Realm Projections. The reality of the Central Continent screamed.

With the wave of their hands, the entire visible landscape flipped. Massive buildings shifted as if made of paper, and the asphalt beneath Vahn's feet ripped apart. A towering mountain, summoned from the distance, began to move rapidly to crush them, while the illusions of star fragments rained down in a focused bombardment.

Vahn tried to defend, using his Heaven Grade Nuclear Dragon Sword and channeling his Nascent Soul to its limit, but his power was useless against the multi-faceted, world-bending assault. The attacks were not merely strong; they defied the very laws of space Vahn relied upon.

Within minutes, Vahn's body was savagely beaten. He was slammed repeatedly by shifting earth and struck by burning starlight. His skin tore open, covered with gruesome bruises and holes, and thick, dark blood poured out from his seven orifices. Yet, he did not scream. He refused to give them the satisfaction of hearing his pain, holding his breath through sheer, unyielding will.

Lilith's eyes were wide and red with unshed tears. Seeing her husband's body being reduced to pulp broke her strategic calm. She channeled her pure Darkness Arts and launched a focused counter-attack—using Hecate's stealthy properties aimed at the nearest Elder.

"Humph..."

The female Elder merely snorted in disdain. The mere sound shattered Lilith's attack, dissolving the shadow spear into harmless dust. The Elder squinted, her focus shifting from the wounded Vahn to the furious woman beside him.

"The Darkness Saintess," the Elder hissed, recognition dawning. "You're also a traitor who helped this Devil Child escape from the competition! You will pay the ultimate price for your treason!"

The female Elder—a master of purification—went straight for the kill, launching a massive column of White Light Annihilation Energy aimed directly at Lilith's heart.

Vahn, already broken and barely conscious, saw the imminent destruction of his Second Queen. He saw the hatred in the Elder's eyes, the same hatred that would destroy his everything he built. His daughter Eterna in torment and Seraphina bound in chains.

The pain of his body was nothing compared to the fear of losing his family.

His eyes snapped wide open, turning deep Abyss-like Void. The Crystallized Demonic Malice he had absorbed and the pure, raw fury of his Void Dragon Ultimate Bloodline fused into a singular, uncontrollable torrent of power.

Vahn let out a heaven-shaking ROAR—a sound that was neither human nor spiritual, but cosmic and terrifying.

KRAAAAA-BOOOM!

His body began to transform.

"Rumble!" "Rumble!"

At first it was small: veins darkening, pupils swallowing light, a shadow that moved against the moon's grain. Then his skin cracked like old pottery, revealing armor of obsidian scales. The streetlights diminished beneath the bloom of his aura as his spine elongated with a terrible, majestic patience.

The city, already shaken from their trap, had only a second to register the change before the truth made their receptors burn: the Devil-child — the one who had once laughed at death and chewed through despair — was becoming something else entirely.

A roar poured from him that had no human syllables. It tasted of emptiness and stars.

The ground buckled under the sheer force of the exhalation. Buildings leaned away as if to avoid being swallowed. The Supreme Elders' projections trembled; arrogance gives way to calculation in the face of a power whose history predates every sanctuary.

The transformation accelerated, not with the graceless ripping of flesh but with the inevitability of tectonic drift. Limbs lengthened; each movement was an origin story. Scales like crushed night stitched across his back, and bone became weapon and crown. The air around him cooled into a void-scent, like a silence that was not absence but a presence that devoured sound.

"Rumble!" "Rumble!"

Vahn rose; not to his feet but to a scale that dwarfed the very skyline. 2,000 meters of abyss uncoiled, like a colossus of negative space and hungering star.

Lilith's eyes went wide. She had seen Demon lords take form on battlefields, seen dragons fall and rise, but this, this abyssal awakening was the collapse of every category she knew.

"ROARRRRRR!" Vahn let out a world shaking roar to the heavens, releasing a beam of pure annihilatin energy that erased sky, air and space itself.

He was now the fully manifested Ultimate Void Dragon, a Ultimate being of pure, concentrated annihilation.

Zephya could not, would not, move. The sight of Vahn towering up like a mountain, bleeding void and light, rooted her to the spot.

"M-master!" she cried, but the sound was swallowed by the new wind that circled him.

The Supreme Elders looked genuinely alarmed. Their projections flickered wildly, and the illusionary mountain crushing Vahn stopped mid-air.

"This... this is impossible! What manner of beast is this?!" an Elder screamed, his voice strained with genuine fear. "The true form of a Devil Monarch! We have provoked someone we shouldn't have!"

The female elder (the one who had tried to kill Lilith) turned robotically only to caught in a glare that was older than the sanctuary. She had been proud, merciless, certain. But now pride lay brittle at her feet.

"You… you really summoned that power?" she stammered, and for the first time she sounded like a person pleading with an unknown horror to be a lie.

They had underestimated the Devil's Child. And now, there was no escape from the ultimate consequence. Vahn was no longer their prisoner; he was their executioner.
