Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 125: The Flame Swordman Rovric

A few more matches went by, and the crowd, like always, cheered and shouted, always waiting for the next battle.

The announcer raised his hand, his voice booming.

"Next match! Contestant Number Sixteen versus Contestant Number Seventeen, Rovric Revalis!"

The stands came alive again.

"Rovric! The flame swordsman!"

"He's one of the top young elites!"

"Now this is going to be fun!"

Rovric stood up from his seat, his confident grin already forming.

He rolled his shoulders, then glanced toward the twins. "Try not to blink."

Rynar leaned back, unimpressed. "We'll manage."

Rynor smirked. "Let's see if you can do better than your lightning buddy."

Rovric just chuckled and walked down to the arena.

The crowd followed his movement, whispering his name like a wave.

His opponent, a young man around his age, was already waiting at the center.

He already had his sword in hand, eyes cautious but determined.

Rovric drew his sword slowly, and heat began to rise from his body, small flickers of flame dancing at the tip of the weapon.

"So you're my opponent?" Rovric said, pointing the sword forward.

The young man nodded. "I won't go down easily."

Rovric smirked. "Good. It'd be boring if you did."

The announcer's hand came down. "Begin!"

In an instant, Rovric dashed forward, slashing his sword in a smooth arc.

The other boy barely raised his sword in time and....

CLANG!

Sparks flew from both blades as they clashed.

But Rovric was stronger, forcing the boy to take a step back, but he gritted his teeth and tried to counter, swinging from the side.

But Rovric twisted his wrist to deflect the strike easily, his eyes filled with excitement as he pressed forward again.

"Not bad, but it's not enough if you want to win."

Their swords clashed again.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Each strike was faster and heavier than before, and the crowd roared with more excitement with every sword strike.

"He's so fast!"

"That poor kid can barely block!"

Rovric's grin grew wider as he pushed his opponent back toward the edge of the arena.

"Come on, is that all you got? You'll never stand out in this clan with that kind of weak swing!"

The young man frowned and tried to rush forward and slashed his sword desperately.

"Don't you look down on me! I'm not done yet!"

But Rovric was already moving. He sidestepped, spun slightly on one foot, and swept his leg under the boy's.

THUD!

The boy fell hard, his sword slipping from his hand, and before he could even look up...

Rovric's blade was already an inch away from his neck, burning his face quite a bit.

Rovric tilted his head, smirking. "Now you're done."

The announcer blinked once, then raised his voice.

"The winner is contestant number seventeen, Rovric Revalis!"

The crowd exploded with cheers and applause.

"Flawless!"

"He didn't even use a full technique!"

"That's Rovric for you. He is efficient and ruthless!"

Rovric stepped back, sliding his sword into its sheath, and gave the boy a short nod.

"Not bad, kid. You've got determination and bravery, but those alone don't win fights."

The young man, still on one knee, managed to put on a weak smile. "I'll remember that."

Rovric turned, glancing up at the twins that were sitting in the waiting area.

"Soon. I'll show you both the real swordplay and the reason why you're always below me."

Both the twins just chuckled. "Looking forward to it. Just don't trip before then."

The announcer then began to announce other matters with his booming voice.

"And that concludes today's matches! Tomorrow, we'll continue with the next round!"

The crowd groaned in disappointment, but soon the chatter rose again as people began to leave.

From above, the God Gym flying ship slowly descended to the side of the arena.

The twins climbed aboard, waving lazily to the few people still watching.

Garion stood near the entrance of the ship, arms folded, smirking.

"Good job, both of you. You are quick, clear, and quite dramatic to stir some noise down there."

Rynar grinned, rolling his shoulders. "Heh, we didn't even warm up yet."

Rynor stretched his arms behind his head. "The real fun should be starting tomorrow."

Dahlia, who had been waiting with Arden, Clara, and Eliza near the rail, stepped forward and nodded.

"You two did well. The Revalis Clan finally knows what kind of strength the God Gym produces."

Arden just gave them a thumbs up nervously. "Your control is perfect."

Clara also gave a thumbs up. "I like the punch part. So simple, yet everyone freaked out!"

Eliza nodded calmly. "You two made it look effortless. That's the best kind of victory."

The twins laughed proudly, bumping their fists together. "Of course. We're God Gym disciples, after all."

But before they could say more, Dahlia suddenly grabbed both of them by the shoulders and pulled them aside.

"Tomorrow's a big one. You'll face Rovric and Ragric sooner rather than later. Don't let your guard down."

Rynar smirked. "We weren't planning to."

Rynor's grin turned sly. "But you sound like you've got something in mind."

Dahlia crossed her arms and leaned closer. "Let's do it like this…"

She whispered a few quick instructions, and the twins' eyes lit up halfway through.

But by the time she finished, both were grinning like mischievous kids.

Rynor whistled softly. "You're cruel, Senior Sister."

Rynar chuckled. "I like it."

Dahlia smirked, her eyes gleaming. "Good. Make them regret ever mocking you."

The twins nodded in unison, excitement flashing across their faces.

---

Later that night. Garion stood alone on the ship's deck, watching the Revalis Clan's glowing lights in the distance.

He rubbed his chin, lost in thought.

"The twins handled themselves well. Dahlia's already thinking ahead…"

He sighed softly.

"But what about me? The second realm's done. Now I need information about the third realm…"

He rubbed the side of his head and frowned.

"I can't just walk in and ask them to hand over their cultivation knowledge, right?"

He crossed his arms. "There has to be another way."
