God-Tier Fishing System

Chapter 241

"Humph, you finally know how to praise someone," Rain smiled arrogantly, her red lips curved with satisfaction. Then she added with a sly gleam in her eyes, "By the way, there is something you need to get familiar with."

"What's the matter?" Ethan asked attentively.

"Didn't I say before that our Blood Tavern issues bounty tasks? There are many missions, each offering generous rewards. Perhaps there is something in them you need," Rain replied, waving a delicate hand.

"Bounty missions... Let's take a look," Ethan said, intrigued.

With a graceful flick, the cabinet behind Rain creaked open.

From within, tokens of various shapes and materials floated out like leaves in the wind.

Rectangular tokens made of wood, copper, silver, and even gold—three majestic gold tokens shimmering with immense power.

Among them was a special red token, distinct and commanding attention.

"This," Rain explained, "is a bounty order. Each one records a specific task. Simply inject mental energy into the token, and you can view the details."

"Different levels of missions correspond to different tokens," she continued.

"Wooden tokens are the lowest—yellow-level tasks; copper tokens are mysterious-level; silver tokens represent earth-level; and gold tokens, the most challenging, are heaven-level tasks."

Ethan's eyes flickered to the red token, curious. "What about the red token? What level is that?"

Rain's smile turned exquisite and secretive. "The red token is special. It carries no level. Its task is exceedingly difficult—issued personally by the owner of the Blood Tavern."

She let the red token fall gracefully onto her slender fingertips, its crimson surface gleaming like a siren's call.

Ethan's heart quickened.

"The owner of the Blood Tavern?!"

Though unaware of this mysterious figure's strength, he knew without doubt the owner was among the Oceanreach Continent's most formidable masters.

Judging from the Tavern's vast scale, the owner's power had to be at least at the Supreme Realm and likely among its very pinnacle.

No one without such overwhelming strength could command such respect.

The Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets, Myriad Treasures Pavilion, and the Blood Tavern themselves were true titans of power on this continent.

Even the Holy Land of Endless Mountains, the super overlord of Skyreach Territory, trembled before these forces.

The Holy Land's Holy Lord, powerful in the Supreme Realm, held immense influence, and yet feared these entities.

Rain's eyes caught Ethan's solemn gaze, and she smiled softly, then spoke, causing a series of glowing words to float from the red token:

[Bounty Order]

[Content: Searching for the whereabouts of Thousand Faces.]

[Reward: The owner of the Blood Tavern will grant any favor within their power.]

Ethan scanned the details swiftly.

The mission seemed simple on the surface: find a man named Thousand Faces.

"Who is this Thousand Faces?" Ethan inquired.

Rain's expression darkened slightly. "He is a strong cultivator in the Supreme Realm, but considered weak among his peers."

"This man is renowned for unparalleled disguise and concealment techniques. Even the owner of the Blood Tavern has searched for years without success."

Ethan raised a brow. "What is the conflict between the owner and this man?"

"I don't know the details," Rain admitted, "but rumor says that when the owner was weaker, Thousand Faces tricked him severely."

"The owner was vindictive. After founding the Blood Tavern, issuing this bounty was his first act, with a generous reward."

Ethan thought deeply. "If even the owner couldn't find him, who would dare take this mission?"

Rain shrugged lightly. "Brother Ethan, there are many strong beings in the world, each with unique skills."

"Some specialize in battle, others master elixirs and formations, and some excel in divination."

"Seeking a master of concealment and escape like Thousand Faces requires those with keen tracking talents."

"He has a mysterious inheritance technique allowing him to change his face to anyone's without detection."

"Even face-to-face with a Supreme Realm expert, he can remain concealed. Hence, the name 'Thousand Faces.'"

"But where there are masters of concealment, there are trackers."

"Many capable strangers have accepted this task," Rain said with a knowing smile.

Ethan stroked his chin thoughtfully.

"You can transform into anyone? Fascinating."

He mused about his future.

"Once I reach Nirvana, my mental energy will increase exponentially."

"Using Heaven-piercing Mind Eyes then, could I possibly see through Thousand Faces' disguise?"

Rain continued, flicking her eyes knowingly.

"For example, the great overlord of Skyreach Territory, the Holy Lord of the Holy Land, the Demon Supreme of Blackspire Mountains, and the Supreme Emperor of Vernal Dawn Dynasty—all have taken this mission."

"You know, a promise from the owner of the Tavern is a tempting reward," Rain added.

Ethan questioned, "Then they all belong to the Blood Tavern?"

"Of course not," Rain said patiently.

"This bloody bounty order isn't limited by identity—it's open to the entire continent."

"Anyone, even non-members, can receive it."

Ethan nodded slowly.

"Then... what is the strength of our tavern owner?" he questioned further.

Rain smiled slyly. "You want to know?"

"If Shopkeeper Rain won't say, then I won't ask," Ethan replied, cupping his hands in mock surrender.

"Wait! Brother Ethan is so impatient."

"I didn't say I wouldn't tell you."

"The Supreme Realm—unlike the Mahayana Realm—is divided into five stages."

"The Inferior Supreme, Intermediate Supreme, Upper Supreme, Ultimate Supreme, and Perfect Supreme."

"Only the Perfect Supreme can hope to open the Imperial Path and attempt to break into the Great Emperor realm."

"Thousand Faces was an Inferior Supreme centuries ago. Now, he should be Intermediate Supreme, or at least peaked at Inferior Supreme."

"The Holy Lord of the Holy Land is said to be a peak Inferior Supreme. But that info is old—he may have advanced to Intermediate Supreme by now."

"As for our owner... honestly, I don't know."

"I've never had contact with beings of that caliber."

Rain laughed softly.

Indeed, she had played her little trick once again.

If Ethan had known earlier, perhaps he wouldn't have asked.

This vixen seemed to delight in teasing.

But Ethan gained knowledge nonetheless—it was enough to understand how the Supreme Realm was divided.
