Ved crashed on the ground creating a huge crater. The humans jumped back and stood on guard, he didn't pay them any mind and turned his attention to the fox.
Her wounds were bad but there was nothing Ved could do. While he could use his blood to heal her, he knew the effect of his blood and didn't want to just give it away freely.
' Can any of you use healing abilities?' he asked the other spiritual beasts. A white squirrel stood forward, light shone on his forehead and gently touched the fox, healing her.
After Ved determined she was no longer in danger he turned to the humans. His eyes grew cold, his aura blasted out, a tremendous pressure pressed on them.
Their bodies stood still, not a single one was able to even move a muscle. ' Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you all right now.' tears started streaming down their eyes and snot filled the noses.
Only the woman and a few others did not cry, the rank 2 man tried to speak but Ved's aura was so powerful his voice couldn't even come out.
Infact Ved realised they couldn't even breathe. He lessened his aura a little allowing the man to speak.
He regretted it almost immediately. " OH GREAT DRAGON LORD I BEG YOUR MERCY PLEASE SPARE MY PITIFUL LIFE AND I SWEAR I WILL WORSHIP YOU FOREVER LIKE A GOD, I WILL EVEN CLEAN YOUR MAGNIFICENT WINGS WITH MY TONGUE UNTIL IT'S SHI....."
Ved tuned him out, the man kept shouting every compliment he could think of and Ved felt his veins throbbing, this was a new level of ass kissing.
Even his own people looked embarrassed. Ved sighed. ' Leave, if you ever lay harm upon one of my subjects again...' he didn't finish his sentence.
He was sure they got the message. Before they left, one man who was standing next to the bow woman looked at Ved and bowed. " Thank you for showing mercy, great dragon."
Then they turned around and ran off. Ved could feel the relief from the spiritual beasts behind him.
He sighed and grabbed the fox. ' follow me.' the other complied and followed him. Two days later the fox woke up, the moment she saw him she attacked.
' Oah Oah,come down, you're safe now.'. She calmed down a little and Ved put her down." Thank you great king for saving us."
Ved was surprised, ' You can talk?.' she was only a rank 2 beast, Ved couldn't understand how she can talk, she wasn't even using will transmission but actually talking.
She nodded, " The females in my nine tailed fox clan are born with the transformation technique, since we depend on charm to survive, being able to look like the species the opponent finds attractive helps."
Ved nodded, ' Makes sense, can you show me your transformation ability?' she shook her head, " Forgive me my lord but I'm too wounded and my energy is too depleted right now so I cannot demonstrate my ability to you."
She bowed, Ved nodded but something still didn't make sense.' Why didn't you use you charm against those humans.' she looked dejected.
" I did my lord but without inhaling the illusion mist, our charms aren't very effective against females, especially those of the same rank as us, that female kept disrupting the technique."
' I see, last question, why do you keep calling me lord?' Ved had not revealed anything about his status as the successor of the ancient kind of beasts.
So he didn't understand how she knew, fortunately she cleared his doubt." Your aura my lord, it imprinted in the memories of my bloodline, my blood cannot forget the majesty of the great king."
She bowed, her tails waving around in joy. ' I see, I guess that makes sense but could you please stop calling me that, it embarrassing, just call me Ved.' Ved had read a little about true names and knew a beasts shouldn't tell other their true name.
If somebody with a stronger will knew a beast's true name they could enslave them using it, however for it to count as a true name, it has to be the full name. Giving them Ved alone was okay, the issue would be if he told them his full name Ved Zhakrii.
She looked at him like he just said the most asinine thing in history of languages. " I wouldn't dare, how could this lowly one dare address the kind by their true name."
He tried to convince her a few more times to no avail, she was adamant in calling him lord. Ved let her be but he swore to spend less time around her, he couldn't handle the embarassment.
They stopped in a huge forest with towering trees. Ved decided to leave them there, after all he couldn't take care of them forever.
After saying his goodbyes he took to the skies and left. Then he decided to test his new trait, he flew up to the sparse clouds above.
Then activated his trait, a thin film covered his entire body, then the film started changing colour until it looked exactly like the cloud.
If one were to look up they would only see a cloud, not the giant Dragon floating within it,the only way to detect him was through movements.
Even though he looked like the cloud, his wings still dispersed the cloud when he flapped them, making it possible to tell he was there.
However the most impressive thing about this trait was not the camouflage but the ability to hide from soul sense.
The transparent film somehow made him invisible to soul sense, even to his own. He continued testing the limit of the trait, he dropped to a forest below and hid amidst the trees.
Used the ground, rocks and even water to mask himself. His personal favourite was air, he could actually change into the colour of air making him invisible to the naked eye.
The best part was that the trait needed very little mental strength to keep it active but the more complicated the camouflage is the more mental strength needed to keep it active. Just like that, an entire week passed.
Ved had decided to go north, to check up the countries north of Africa but before that he wanted to go check up on the fox and the others before he left.
He turned around and flapped his wings. It took him a few hours to reach the forest but what he found made his blood boil with rage.
The forest was on flames with felled trees everywhere, obviously cut down with a sword. Ved felt the familiar auras of the humans and his rage exploded.
His aura blasted out covering tens of kilometres. Every creature in a hundred kilometres shivered with fear.
Ved roared, his roared so powerful the soundwaves shook the air and ripped the ground apart, his rage echoed for thousands of kilometres.
Somewhere in a large city surrounded by walls of steel and stone, a man with blazing red hair sat on his throne looking at the terrified people kneeling before him.
Suddenly he turned his head and looked south, then smiled.
Same thing happened in another city, a woman with long blue hair turned her head south. " Is that you?" She whispered even though she knew nobody could hear her.
