Urban Dominating Immortal Doctor

Chapter 101: You Want Me A Cripple?

In a narrow alley, the footsteps of a limping man suddenly stopped. He turned around and looked behind him, but there was no one there. Nevertheless, his gaze was sharp as he scanned the alley.

"Come out."

The limping man said in a deep voice.

After his voice fell, the empty alley remained silent.

"Come out, I know you're following me."

The limping man said again, his eyes burning brightly.

"Heh, noticing me tracking you, that's not simple."

Qin Yang chuckled lightly, walking out from behind some clutter, smiling as he looked at the limping man in front of him.

"It's you?"

The limping man's eyes flashed with surprise. Clearly, he hadn't expected the person tracking him to be the young man who severed two robbers at the bank.

"Why are you following me?"

The limping man asked cautiously.

"I noticed your skills are decent, and you know how to use firearms. You were in the military, weren't you?" Qin Yang said with a smile. Besides a limp, the man in front of him looked strong.

"I'm just a laborer at a construction site hauling cement now."

The limping man replied, indirectly confirming his military background.

"How much does a cement worker earn in a month?" Qin Yang asked with a smile.

"Three thousand."

The limping man's reply was brief and clear.

"Heh, I'll offer you a base salary of ten thousand, with additional benefits. Work for me."

Qin Yang wasted no words, directly extending an olive branch.

"You want a lame man?"

The limping man was taken aback, clearly surprised that Qin Yang had followed him to recruit him.

"What if I said I could heal your leg?" Qin Yang said with a smile.

"What did you say?"

The limping man's eyes briefly brightened, but he quickly calmed down and shook his head.

"Impossible, even the experts at the military hospital couldn't heal my leg, and you..."

Although the limping man knew Qin Yang was skilled, he clearly didn't believe such a young person could heal his leg.

"If I really heal your leg, would you be willing to work for me?"

Qin Yang spoke slowly, his eyes fixed intently on the limping man's eyes.

"What's your objective?"

The limping man asked warily.

"I think you're talented and can be of use to me, it's as simple as that."

Qin Yang replied coolly.

The limping man pondered for a moment, then gave a self-deprecating smile. He had fallen to the point of making a living by hauling cement, yet he was worried about others scheming against him.

At home, he had a younger sister about to start college and aging parents to support, which required a lot of money. If this young man could really offer him such a high salary and heal his leg, why not work for him?

"If you can truly give me that salary and heal my leg, I, Zhao Hui, am willing to work for you!"

The limping man said solemnly.

"Great, you won't regret today's decision."

Qin Yang said with a smile, then walked up to Zhao Hui.

"Now, I'll fulfill your first request and heal your leg."

"Here?"

Zhao Hui was startled. Qin Yang was wearing a short-sleeved shirt with a small bag slung over his back. It didn't seem like there were any medical supplies or surgical tools in it. How was he going to heal his leg here?

"Yes, sit there and roll up your pant leg."

Qin Yang nodded, pointing to a box of miscellaneous items.

With some doubt, Zhao Hui sat on the box as instructed and rolled up his cement-covered pants past the knee.

The knee joint was caved in about three centimeters, with a black, web-like pattern spread across the skin around the indentation. The entire lower leg seemed swollen and red, clear signs of blood circulation issues.

"This looks like it was hit hard by someone, causing a misalignment of muscles and bones."

Qin Yang glanced at it and remarked.

Zhao Hui's eyes flashed with surprise. His leg was indeed struck hard, leaving it in its current state. The fact that Qin Yang could tell at a glance showed he had some medical skills.

"Sit tight and close your eyes. It might hurt a bit."

Qin Yang said calmly.

Zhao Hui followed instructions and closed his eyes.

Qin Yang activated the Celestial Eye, examining the internal condition of the muscles and bones through the skin.

Clap, clap!

Spiritual power gently surged through Qin Yang's palm as he tapped the indentation in Zhao Hui's muscle, then suddenly grabbed Zhao Hui's lower leg with one hand and the kneecap with the other, applying force with both hands simultaneously.

Crunch! Crunch!

Two simultaneous crisp sounds echoed as the bones repositioned.

Zhao Hui's face flushed instantly, cold sweat beading on his forehead, his teeth clenched, letting out a muffled groan. His back was now drenched with cold sweat. Clearly, the consecutive bone-setting moves by Qin Yang were excruciating.

"Spring Rain Spell!"

Qin Yang silently recited a spell in his heart, as three droplets of light green rain formed at his fingertips.

"Go!"

Qin Yang flicked one droplet into Zhao Hui's swollen lower leg, and pressed the other two into the cavity around the joint.

As the three light green droplets were absorbed, Zhao Hui's leg suddenly felt a chill spreading quickly through his entire leg and body, completely dispelling the intense pain from the bone-setting. Instead, he felt cool and comfortable sensations.

"All done."

Qin Yang clapped his hands and said.

Upon hearing this, Zhao Hui opened his eyes to look at his leg. He found that the previously sunken joint had somehow returned to normal, and the surrounding black marks were gradually fading. The swelling in his lower leg had noticeably diminished, now showing just a faint redness as blood circulation quickly improved.

A minute or two later, his leg had returned to complete normalcy.

"Stand up and take a walk."

Qin Yang said with a faint smile.

Zhao Hui stood up, took a step, feeling a bit awkward initially. But after a few more steps, he realized there was no difference between this leg and the other one. He could walk normally!

"Thank you, boss."

Zhao Hui expressed his heartfelt gratitude. His crippled leg, deemed difficult to heal by military hospital experts, had been fully restored in just minutes by this young man. Now, this new boss seemed somewhat mysterious to him.

"Mm."

Qin Yang nodded. Although Zhao Hui had been hauling cement for some time, the pride of a soldier still lingered deep in his eyes. Qin Yang's swift remedy for his ailment served not only as a promise kept, but also as a form of intimidation, knowing that those with military backgrounds often admired the strong.

"Tell me about yourself."

Qin Yang said.

"My name is Zhao Hui. I joined the army at 16, serving in a certain unit until I was selected for a national special forces team. Due to some reasons, I had a conflict in the unit and was injured. After failed treatments, I had to retire. Since retiring, I've been hauling cement during the day and working as a nightclub security guard at night."

Zhao Hui's briefing was concise, and Qin Yang didn't press for more details. Everyone has their secrets, and he valued Zhao Hui for his skills, needing him to do the job.

"Work hard with me from now on."

Qin Yang encouraged.

"Yes, boss."

Zhao Hui replied, hesitated a bit, and then asked with a hint of hope, "Boss, do you need more people?"
