The Guy Who Tamed Chickens

Chapter 59: The Proud Ironheart Party

After completing a few more procedures with Kevin, Kyson finally brought out his ADV3007 motorcycle out of the motor shop.

Patting it with a wide smile on his face, Kyson said, "You'll be with me from now on, buddy. I hope you take care of me as we travel all over the place."

Sitting on it, Kyson wore a pitch-black classic style helmet and twisted the throttle.

Vrooom!

A deep and heavy roaring sound blared on the streets. Like an ancient beast that works up from its slumber.

When he heard it, Kyson felt like that sound was music to his ears.

"I can't help but like this sound."

After saying that, he brought down the visor to his face and twisted the throttle again.

The next second, the motorcycle shoots out like a shooting star on the wide morning street of Porac City.

Kyson felt the wind rushing past him and he ran at 90mph.

This is the first time Kyson is riding this fast on a motorcycle and he felt the thrill running down his body.

Despite the fast speed, Kyson didn't need to worry about colliding somewhere.

That is because of his strengthened Agility stats.

Agility is not just about one's movement speed. It is also responsible for the reaction speed of the individual.

The ability to see fast moving things or the dynamic visual acuity is also under this.

This makes things that move too fast look slow as long as you have enough agility.

Because of this, Kyson freely drove around the city without any scrupulousness.

Half an hour later, Kyson parked the motorcycle outside the Adventurer Agency.

Taking off his helmet, a joyful smile could be seen on his lips.

"Hahaha, it was indeed true. Speed is one of man's happiness!"

Carrying his helmet, he walked inside the Adventurer Agency.

Once inside, Kyson directly went to the mission area and stood in front of the mission board.

"Hmm, is there any mission here that I can take?"

Kyson has one goal today. To rank up.

Currently, the number of completed missions recorded on his ID card is 4. All of which are E-rank.

That means he still needs to complete 6 more E-rank missions to rank up.

In the end, Kyson's eyes landed once again on the familiar [Goblin Subjugation] mission on the board.

"Well, since I'm planning to do this fast, I guess I can just go with this."

Without hesitation, Kyson accepted the mission and left the Adventurer Agency.

The reason why he's in such a rush to rank up is because of one objective.

That is to leave Porac City and head to Mandilla City to meet his family.

Recently, the national government passed a policy that heightened the strictness of going out of the City.

Only adventurers are allowed to freely get in and get out of their respective cities.

If you are a civilian, you need to go to the city hall and apply for a City Leave pass before you can go.

Of course that pass might not even be approved depending on your reason.

Anyway, the adventurers' rights to leave are not really without any restriction.

As of now, if you're an F-rank adventurer, you can only exit and enter your own city.

This means one important thing. You cannot go to other cities as an F-rank adventurer.

Only E-rank and above have the qualification to travel on their own to other cities.

However, Vitri Town and other towns from the other world are affected by this policy.

That is because they are not under the jurisdiction of Perla Country where Porac City belongs.

Anyway, Kyson already made a plan in his mind.

After raising his rank to E-rank today, he will immediately head out for Mandilla City either later or tomorrow.

Kyson rode his motorcycle and drove away like a flash of light.

In just a few minutes, he arrived at the city gate.

Unlike before where people are scarce, the city gate now has a line of military-grade vehicles coming in and out.

However, inside those vehicles are not soldiers, but adventurers.

Seeing all of this, Kyson wasn't surprised.

As more days pass, more adventurers are registering, increasing the numbers.

Thanks to that, more and more people are coming in and out of Porac City.

However, going out of the city doesn't really take long.

You only need to present your ID card as proof of being an adventurer and you can already go.

Kyson managed to leave the city smoothly on his motorcycle.

Then without hesitation, he pulled the throttle to the max and drove away at a fast speed.

Less than 5 minutes later, Kyson arrived at his destination.

Batalan Forest.

When Kyson got there, he saw how humans could adapt fast to situations.

Outside of the forest, a small gathering could be seen, looking like a bustling community.

"Hey, everyone, come and take a look at this pie. It is newly cooked and still piping hot."

"Handsome guy, come and take a look. This is a newly made sword. It is sharp and can kill those messy goblins with just one slash."

"My lovely fellow adventurers, how about taking a look at my wares? Very affordable and will surely save you during a crisis. Only ten thousand pesos, come and get it everyone."

"…"

Various calls of vendors attracting people to buy their products could be heard ringing out all over the place.

This small settlement is proof that humans could adapt and will adapt no matter what the situation is.

In just a few days, a community like this is already built outside one of the wild hunting grounds around Porac City.

However, Kyson only took a glance at them before continuing his way inside the forest.

Since there are a lot of people around, he had to slow down in order to avoid encountering an accident.

But just as he was about to enter the forest, a voice suddenly sounded from behind him.

"Hey, boy with the motorcycle!"

Subconsciously, Kyson paused and took a look in the direction where the voice came from.

Not far behind him, standing on the side of the road, a couple of people wearing steel armor walked towards him.

Stopping on his tracks, Kyson looked at them with a puzzled look.

"Hmm? Is there anything you need?"

The one on the lead, a man with a thick beard and brown skin smiled, flashing his white teeth.

"Boy, do you want to join our party?"

"No." Without hesitation, Kyson answered bluntly.

Kuhk.

The man choked on his saliva, not expecting Kyson's direct refusal.

"Ehem, well, turn it down immediately. Let me introduce myself and my party first."

As he said that, the man stood straight, fixing his posture. Even his expression became dignified, and he had the look of a disciplined soldier on his face.

"I am Arthur, a level 10 Knight, the leader of the Ironheart party."

"The Ironheart party has five members, including me. Our party has a level 11 Swordsman, a level 10 magician, a level 9 Priest, and a level 9 Hidden Class called Buff Specialist."

When talking about the hidden class, the pride couldn't even be concealed from Arthur's voice.

'Heh, surely he'll be amazed with our line up, right? It'll be easy to attract him to our party.' he thought.

In contrast, Kyson just stood there, without much reaction on his face.

Taking notice of the blank look on Kyson's face, Arthur sensed something wrong.

However, he is still confident that he can easily pull this man, who doesn't even have any armor on, to their party.

So he amicably asked, "How about it? Would you like to join our party?"

But Kyson's indifferent answer left him speechless.

"No."

Arthur could only fall silent, his eyes still on Kyson.

After a while, he asked, "... Can I ask why?"

Kyson shrugged, "I just don't want to."

After saying that, Kyson's eyes suddenly became sharp as he looked at Arthur and the others behind him.

"But there's something I want to ask you in return."

"Out of all the people in this settlement, why are you approaching me?"

"If you're only recruiting members, with your line-up, it is easy to recruit others. So why are you only coming after me?"

Kyson stared at them, feeling suspicious inside.

To begin with, he doesn't think he stands out or is acting conspicuously.

He's also not the only one who has a vehicle here.

So, there should be nothing that a top-notch party like Ironheart would be attracted to.

Feeling Kyson's suspicious gaze, the whole Ironheart party fell silent.

Kyson waited for a while, but none of them answered his question.

Just as he was getting tired of waiting, a woman wearing a robe, hiding her head with a hood, and holding a staff, walked forward.

"I'm the one who told our leader to recruit you."

A husky, but attractive woman's voice came from her.

Kyson's eyes focused, trying to see if he knew her.

But after thinking for a while, he really doesn't recognize her or anything.

So with confusion on his tone, he asked, "Why are you recruiting me for?"
