BEYOND THE BLAZE

Chapter 80: DINNER PLANS

The small place was filled with quietness; the professor and Elina waited for an answer from Akirion, but Akirion was taking his time thinking something useless to Elina.

Suddenly, his sealed lips moved, "ahh…" Akirion tried to break the quietness by denying Elina's dinner offer, but the professor instantly cut him off before he denied.

"I've got this; I guess it will be useful for you guys. I wanted to give it to Akirion, but since you are going together for dinner…" the professor said. Akirion tried to interrupt by saying, "Hey…" Then the professor cut him off, leaving his mouth in a choir mode.

"Not now, Akirion, I'm trying to explain why I'm gifting the money, so you better listen, and don't take it awkwardly!" The professor said, his eyes on Elina while his right hand's index finger cancelled Akirion from saying something.

"As I was saying, since you are going together for dinner, maybe it will be useful in increasing the money that you have in order to enjoy yourselves."

'Why is he cutting me off? He doesn't know that I wanted to deny, but he's acting as if I agreed.' Akirion thought, his eyes glaring at the darkness since he had his eyes sealed, his hands folded as he listened to what the professor was blabbering about.

"Maybe in hot springs, you know, a warm bath to get rid of your exhaustion, you know?" "The," the professor said, and those words got Akirion's eyes widened as he heard the word "hot spring," and that got his eyes snapped open.

"Hot spring?" Akirion asked himself loudly, but the professor was the one who replied, while he expected no answer.

"Yes, Akirion, a hot spring. You can enjoy yourselves for one night, and this money is enough for dinner. I'm sure you'll love it!"

"But….."

"No way, it's totally enough; you'll enjoy it, and you can maybe book a hotel room for the night." The professor said, his eyes glaring at Akirion, his hands helping him to speak.

"HUH!!!" Akirion and Elina said at the same time as they got surprised by the hotel talk.

"No way, I can't do that; it'll be better to come back or sleep in trees!" Elina said, her voice echoing around the walls, her eyes widening as she tried her best to deny the professor's point.

"Yeah, totally, I wouldn't do that either; I'd prefer sleeping in the middle of the road if that's the case!" Akirion added, his eyes sealed and his hands folded.

"Ohh yeah, that means you agreed!" The professor happily said, his teeth shining as he grinned since he gained victory against Akirion's denial.

"Wait, what?" Astonishment filled Akirion's body as he wanted to deny it, but his words were cut off every time he tried to say his words, but this time he was like he was put in a dark room with his eyes closed, with no light, but told to find his way out.

"Yes, you said you'd prefer to sleep in the streets to sleeping in a hotel room with Elina, isn't that right?" The professor added another trap as he sneered.

'Ohh, creepy. What is he up to now? His smile is up to no good!' Akirion silently said, and continued as he replied to the professor, "Yes, but …" He got cut again.

"That means you agreed to go, but you can't sleep in a hotel only, isn't that right?"

"Yes, it's n…" another dagger from the professor's mouth did its job.

"Exactly!" Totally trapped! Akirion was now like being put in a deep pit but told to get out without a ladder or any other way to get out.

Akirion wanted to say, "Yes, it's not right," but he was cut off since his "yes" word was already out.

"Hey, I didn't ag…" Akirion tried to save his time to go home, but dinner plans were stuck on his neck.

"I guess you have to be going now before it gets too dark!" A pure grin appeared on the professor's lips as he pushed the two to start going. He pulled Akirion from the ground and also pushed him as he pushed with Elina.

"Yes, I guess you are right." Elina agreed, since she was the dinner planner.

"Agh, I guess... I guess I've got no chance against these two, and the only choice is to go!" Akirion said, his hands scratching his head.

"Yes, that's what you are supposed to do!" the professor added.

"Grr!" Akirion roared.

"Sorry! And you are welcome!"

"What!"

"Goodbye." The professor waved both of his hands at the two as he supported the dinner idea.

'He's such a dummy; he should go on a date, not just go home every time he gets out of here. Enjoyment is for everyone, so he should take the chance, since he's still alive. He saved that skin, so he should use it, not just send it home to sleep. Such a sleepyhead.' The professor dissed Akirion in his mind.

Suddenly, he overheard Akirion saying, "It will be better to go and call the others fast because I'm not in the mood to get home late." Akirion said, his eyes looking tired, his face solid, with no glimpse of emotions.

The professor rushed out with another exit going outside.

Akirion and Elina got out of the hall, and they found Erlin with Renn, Liberty, and Anda on their way out.

"Hey you guys, wait up!" Elina screamed to Erlin and her friends with her hands raised up, and her body moving up and down like she was jumping like a bunny.

Erlin and her friends stopped, turned their bodies around, and saw Akirion with Elina. Akirion and Elina reached out to the others, and they proposed the dinner plans.

"Hey you guys, we are planning to have dinner! We will love it if you join us!" Elina said, Akirion helping her by nodding.

The others showed no interest; no change was seen in their facial expressions.

"Ahh, I'm tired; I don't think I can tag along." Anda said her eyes looked tired, her body bent, hinting at tiredness.

"I don't think I can go either!" Erlin supported.

"Me too!" Renn added.

"As for me, I've got plans, so…" Liberty said, his eyes rushing away.
