The professor ran; his legs felt the heat of running after a long time without running. He went and grabbed the sword from his office and ran back to the arena.
Back at the stage,
Akirion remained down, and Lucas was on top of his head. Lucas's eyes were pinned down at Akirion as he asked.
"Is that supposed to be a question?" Akirion asked in pain, his heart happy but his mind mocking Lucas.
"Grrr, you should be a bit polite if you need help, you know!"
"Not when I'm in pain like this!"
"So the pain cuts off your politeness?"
"Enough with questions and help up before that th…" A sudden landing of a punch occurred where Akirion was lying down; luckily for him, he rolled away. Lucas landed a sign of a pencil drawing on its back using his dagger!
'What the…? Its skin is like a rock. A sharp dagger like this barely left a drawing on its back.' Lucas silently said as his mind raced in surprise and fear.
"God damnit, I told you to lift me up, but you were like a snail." Akirion yelled at Lucas, who was slow to help him up.
"Come on, be polite for a second!"
"Shut up and come here…!"
"Shut up and help yourself, dammit. You got energy to yell; that means you got one for standing up!"
The two yelled, but the monster was aiming for Akirion. It initiated another attack at Akirion and made him jump backwards. He landed on his feet, and he saw a punch aiming at his face right after he opened his two orbs.
The monster punched the empty air as Akirion lay down on his stomach, letting it go through after him. Suddenly, he checked it up and shot a fireball at its back, forcing it to land on its two hands.
"Give that! Seems like you aren't capable of using it!" Akirion said after he saw Lucas failing to land a hit, only drawing a line on its back as if he were a tattoo artist.
"The what? Where's yours!" Lucas said, putting his dagger behind him.
"Somewhere in the school walls, just give me that before another attack finishes your fac…!" Before he finished talking, he was punched in the stomach again, and this time he flew like a bird running away from prey.
He flew and hit the walls where the others landed. His mouth flooded with blood. He started drooling, letting the blood flow down his mouth.
"The what, when did he even take my dagger, and now he's all out!" the surprised Lucas yelled as he found no dagger in his hands.
The monster was standing right in front of Lucas; it glared at Akirion to check movements from his body. Suddenly, it turned its face at Lucas, a fireball shot at its face, and the explosion made Lucas move back a bit.
It then looked at Lucas and thought of initiating an attack; suddenly, it found three fingers missing on its right hand. Pain coiled at the bleeding hand, causing it to stop its wild attack.
A grin formed on Akirion's lips; his lips curled up, and a weird sneer appeared on his bloodied face.
He splattered blood at the ground and slowly stood up, his hands holding the dagger down for backup of energy. The monster looked at Akirion, its brown aura looming around it. The soothing wind blew at the stage, getting the stage quiet, with only the breeze making noise in their ears.
Lucas formed another attack of magic, his hands glowing with magic while he reversed. He shot fireballs at the monster, and before it knew it, Akirion swiftly charged towards the blinded monster, and before it grasped the attack, the right arm with fewer fingers thudded down in the ground, creating gasps from the other students as they saw the monster's blood spraying the land.
The brave, speechless monster didn't scream; its teeth were gritted, trying to digest its pain inside. It turned back and saw Akirion standing strong, carrying the dagger. Its arm slowly got longer.
"The what? Its arm is growing, and the cut one is turning into ashes. What's going on?" Lucas asked, his eyes looking at the arm and the monster fast.
"It's regenerating!" Akirion replied, his eyes narrowed as he turned back.
"Regenerating?"
"Yes, its arm is growing back, so it's regenerating. So we are almost doomed!!"
"Not yet, we are not doomed yet!" Lucas's voice growled as he changed his facial expression and deepened his voice.
"That's good to hear from you, and that's giving me energy!" Akirion agreed with his point and was motivated by the sudden change of face.
"Fire arrow, active!" Lucas activated his fire arrow, and the monster's face changed; its eyes widened as fear flooded its body. Shivers lowered down its body as it faced Akirion carrying the dagger, while Lucas's hand glowed as the arrow was fully formed.
Its arm was nearly reformed as it glared at the two with shivers crawling down its body. It got its elemental magic read for defense since it was mostly capable of defending the user.
It created an earthquake below Akirion, and Lucas and the other few students were affected by the attack. The sudden world shake caused Lucas to reverse his powers and withdraw.
It flashily charged at the two, and before it got closer to them, it was shot by fireballs and two other types of magic attacks as 4 students shot at the monster. It was in such a tight spot that it couldn't even make decisions since Akirion was ready for it while those 4 were ready too.
Akirion suddenly charged towards the monster; his elemental powers combined and made a powerful combination that was so strong that it could put a baobab tree on its leaves.
Akirion suddenly channeled the same energy into the sword and got ready for an attack, his eyes fully narrowed as anger and frustration filled his heart up.
He took a deep breath with his eyes closed then...
