"Kid, I told you you'd get what's coming to you, and now's the time to deliver. A country bumpkin like you trying to fight with me, Grandpa Guo? Today, if I don't beat you till you call me granddad, I'll take your last name..." Guo Biao proudly pointed at Wang Xiaoqiang with his police baton.
Wang Xiaoqiang stood fearless, sneering contemptuously, "Scum like you, I'd be ashamed to share a last name with you..."
"Looking for death!" Guo Biao, viciousness written all over his face, yelled as he lunged towards Wang Xiaoqiang, smashing the police baton towards his shoulder.
Zhang Hai and Wang Ming, who had been observing the interrogation, had anticipated this move; thus, not only did they show no surprise, but they also did nothing to stop it, instead crossing their arms and watching Wang Xiaoqiang with schadenfreude, while Hua Tianlong and his two companions looked on with excitement and thrill, seemingly eager to beat Wang Xiaoqiang with the baton themselves.
However, the excitement and pride on their faces quickly froze, their eyes widening and turning dead fish-like, exactly as if they had been struck by a stun baton, standing there stupefied.
When Guo Biao's baton struck Wang Xiaoqiang's shoulder, it was as if he had hit a spring. Not only was the baton ricocheted high into the air, but Guo Biao himself was also knocked back onto the ground, his palms split, blood seeping out; the baton flung out of his hand. The scene was utterly humiliating.
As for Wang Xiaoqiang, the strike on his shoulder felt like a mere tickle, causing him no harm whatsoever. At this point, he looked at Guo Biao and coldly laughed in mockery: "Who's going to look good, and who isn't, seems quite clear now, doesn't it!"
Incredibly embarrassed and shocked, Guo Biao could not believe it. Wang Xiaoqiang's resistance to being struck was too strong, far beyond what was natural.
Although at this moment his right arm was so numb and painful that it was nearly paralyzed, he still angrily got up, picked up the baton that had flown away, charged back at Wang Xiaoqiang, and with a stomp for leverage, he swung the baton fiercely towards Wang Xiaoqiang's head.
This action made Zhang Hai and Wang Ming gasp in horror. The human head and shoulders are not the same; the head is one of the most vulnerable parts of the body. That baton carried all of Guo Biao's strength; if it had hit its target, it could have caused disability at the least, or been lethal at worst.
Only Hua Tianlong and his two companions remained unafraid, eager to see Wang Xiaoqiang roll his eyes and foam at the mouth in agony.
But the scene they hoped to witness did not occur. Just like before, the baton that struck Wang Xiaoqiang's head was repelled, and with the intense force of the counter-shock, Guo Biao was sent flying backward, crashing heavily against the wall before falling to the ground, his face pale and beads of sweat as large as beans rolling down his forehead.
Clearly, the recoil had inflicted significant damage on him.
After the first two strikes, if the initial blow had left everyone baffled and guessing that it was just Wang Xiaoqiang's durability, the second had everyone gasping in shock, their eyes nearly bulging out as they stared fixedly at Wang Xiaoqiang, their minds reeling:
Golden Bell Shield?!!
The scene before them brought to mind this legendary kung fu, which they had only seen in movies and dramas, but today it was vividly displayed before them in reality, and how could they not be shocked!?
Guo Biao, who had been knocked to the ground, struggled to get up, but still undeterred, he urged Hua Tianlong and his companions:
"Brother Long, what are you waiting for? Go beat him up!"
Hua Tianlong and his group, although very much wanted to beat up Wang Xiaoqiang, were not foolish. Seeing that Wang Xiaoqiang seemed impervious, with baton strikes not only failing to harm him but also knocking Guo Biao off his feet, they weren't about to do something that stupid.
Just then, Guo Xiongzhi pushed open the door to the interrogation room and walked in. He glanced around, taking in the scene: Wang Xiaoqiang sitting unscathed and composed on the specially-made interrogation chair, while his nephew, Guo Biao, sat collapsed against the wall, palms bleeding, his face pale, covered in sweat, but his face showed no surprise.
Guo Xiongzhi was well aware of Guo Biao's intention to teach Wang Xiaolong a lesson and had seen everything through the surveillance. And seeing that the scene before him matched exactly what was on the screen, although he was incredulous, he could not help but believe that Wang Xiaoqiang was indeed too strong. He guessed that Wang must have practiced some kind of Hard Qigong.
Since physical attacks were futile against him, they would have to resort to legal measures. At this point, Guo Xiongzhi turned to Zhang Hai and Wang Ming and asked, "How is it, has the kid confessed yet?"
Zhang Hai and Wang Ming both wore a look of shame. Zhang Hai's eyes shifted as he pointed at Wang Xiaoqiang and said, "Chief Guo, this tough guy refuses to confess and even injured Young Master Guo..."
Wang Xiaoqiang thought to himself about the illogical accusations—you want to flip black and white, but at least make it plausible. I'm bound hand and foot, completely immobilized, and yet you dare to claim that I hit someone. However, he did not vehemently argue but simply scoffed at Zhang Hai, "Interrogation officer, you sure have a wild imagination.
If you were sitting in this chair, could you hit anyone?"
Wang Xiaoqiang's words left Zhang Hai resembling a dumb person who had eaten bitter medicine with an indescribable bitterness; he pointed at Wang Xiaoqiang, his finger trembling but unable to utter a word.
Guo Xiongzhi glared at Zhang Hai before walking up to Wang Xiaoqiang, leaning down, and said with a sinister smile, smacking Wang Xiaoqiang's face, "Why are you still wasting time here? Better confess early... an arm can never twist a thigh."
Guo Xiongzhi lightly smacking Wang Xiaoqiang's face was more tormenting than hitting him with a rod. Under the shame and fury, Wang Xiaoqiang spat out in Guo Xiongzhi's face. The Chief of Laojie Police Station, spat upon, was instantly overwhelmed with shame and annoyance. His eyes reddened, and he drew a gun from his waist, aiming it right at Wang Xiaoqiang's chest.
Suddenly targeted by the black muzzle, Wang Xiaoqiang felt a chill strike his heart. Right then, the Five Elements Spirit Spring that had twice shaken off the police baton rapidly returned to his chest, to be precise, at the very spot the gun's muzzle was aimed.
Could it actually stop bullets?
The Metal Element Spiritual Energy derived from the Five Elements Spirit Spring could attack and defend, but that was only against fists and cold weapons. As for firearms like handguns, Wang Xiaoqiang was not at all confident.
By now, night had fully fallen. Public Security Brigade leader Wang Ming, having received a call from Tang Guowei, rushed over promptly. Tang Guowei, having hung up the phone, also arrived as soon as possible. Thus, the time difference between their arrivals at the police station was merely a minute.
The two guards at the entrance of the police station saw it was the vehicle of the Public Security Brigade and immediately allowed entry. Wang Ming parked the car in the already small courtyard of the police station and got out.
Unclear about the reason Tang Guowei had called him, his heart was apprehensive and bewildered; thus, instead of going directly inside, he approached the entrance wanting to ask if Director Tang had arrived when just then, Tang Guowei's car arrived.
The guards at the police station, about to scold the driver for recklessly charging into the station, saw the Public Security Brigade leader Wang Ming hurriedly run over and eagerly open the car door, "Director Tang, you've arrived!"
A man in his forties, tall and robust, with a square face and piercing tiger-like eyes, radiating an intimidating aura of authority, jumped out of the SUV. At the mention of "Director Tang," the hearts of the two guards skipped a beat.
Now seeing that it was indeed the Public Security Director Tang Guowei alighting from the vehicle, their hearts began to race, relieved that they hadn't spoken rashly, as they didn't know what might have followed.
What perplexed them more was that both a Public Security Brigade leader and a Public Security Director rarely visited even once in a couple of years, but today, unexpectedly, they had both arrived. Clearly, it indicated serious business.
The two guards were thinking of approaching to offer their greetings, but they saw Tang Guowei gesture with his hands, signaling them not to come over.
After signaling to the two guards, Tang Guowei then turned to the Public Security Brigade leader Wang Ming, "Follow me inside."
Up to this point, Wang Ming still didn't know why Tang Guowei had called him, but given Tang's personal arrival so late, he was sure it must be a matter of great importance, and certainly not something minor.
Wang Ming, harboring doubts but seeing Tang Guowei's grim and angry face, dared not ask questions. Like a little follower, he silently trailed behind him towards the interrogation room.
As they reached the door of the interrogation room, they heard a loud shout, "Kid, mess with me again and I'll blast you with a bullet!"
The last thing Tang Guowei wanted was for Wang Xiaoqiang to be injured. Knowing his father's word was absolute, if Wang Xiaoqiang indeed suffered severe injuries, he wouldn't need to face his father anymore.
Hearing the shout, although Tang Guowei was a military man and a police veteran of nearly twenty years, now a proud Public Security Director of a county, his face involuntarily paled, and he hastened his steps, almost running towards the interrogation room.
Inside the interrogation room, Guo Xiongzhi's eyes were bloodshot. Completely enraged by Wang Xiaoqiang, he gave a warning and didn't intend to holster his gun. Should Wang Xiaoqiang dare to disrespect him again, he was indeed capable of shooting him dead.
"Kid, scared now, huh? Haha..."
While Guo Xionzh was savagely laughing in his moment of triumph, the door to the interrogation room was suddenly kicked open with a bang.
All eyes turned. Everyone in the room, apart from Wang Xiaoqiang, recognized the County Public Security Director. His sudden arrival brought shock, and simultaneously, a wave of panic spread, causing the entirety of Guo Biao's followers to subconsciously shrink back.
Only Guo Xiongzh dared to kick open doors in Laojie Police Station. Now, as someone dared kick the door while he was flaunting his power, Guo Xiongzhi was infuriated. Without turning his head, he cursed, "Damn it, who dares to be so reckless?"
However, after finishing his swear, seeing the room fall into a tense silence, he couldn't help but turn around. Seeing that it was Public Security Director Tang Guowei who had walked in, he was so frightened that his legs trembled, nearly collapsing. He was so panicked that he forgot the gun in his hand was still pointed at Wang Xiaoqiang.
(Another big chapter with three thousand words, enough ain't it, haha, seeing old readers coming one after another really makes me happy. The age modification device can't be released yet, so enjoy this book for now. Also, if there are any issues with the book, feel free to raise them in the review section. With the lesser word count, it's easier to make changes.
Lastly, thanks for the support from both new and old readers.)
