Becoming a Billionaire after Divorce

Chapter 110: Hundred Days Anniversary with the Three Little Ones! (Extra asking for monthly votes!)_2

"Don't rush, listen to me," Yun Yuqing said calmly. "Once Uncle makes a decision about something like this, he won't listen to us."

Her words hung in the air, and the other two were stunned.

It was true. It was such a simple truth, one they both understood. But their concern for him had muddled their thinking, and they hadn't thought of it. It was Yun Yuqing who remained cool and composed.

Having found her pillar of strength, Li Sili asked, "So, what should we do? Call the police?"

"Yes. I have the number of that police officer who's on good terms with Uncle. I'll call him now and ask him to come over. You two go and keep an eye on things. If anything goes wrong, protect Uncle."

"Okay." Neither Li Sili nor Fang Sihan hesitated and walked toward where Sun Dasheng was.

"Si Han, you're strong. If Uncle gets hit, you rush in and grab the guy's legs to create a distraction. I'll sneak up from behind and hit him on the back of the head," Li Sili plotted, pulling a small hammer from her purse.

Fang Sihan was dumbstruck. "Where did you get that? Why do you have something like that in your bag?"

"Hehe… I'm an influencer who makes videos about traditional woodworking, an intangible cultural heritage. It's perfectly reasonable for me to carry a hammer, right?" Li Sili said with a smug laugh.

"Reasonable… is it?" Fang Sihan laughed awkwardly.

"Let's hurry over. There are so many people." When Li Sili took out her hammer, the crowd respectfully parted, creating a path for them.

By the time they reached the inner circle, they found the situation was quite different from what they had imagined.

The person lying on the ground wasn't their Uncle, but the tall and sturdy Black man. Meanwhile, Uncle was helping the man who had been cheated on to his feet and comforting him.

The surrounding onlookers burst into enthusiastic applause.

It was out of the question for them to be the heroes themselves. But if someone else stepped up to play the part, they were more than generous with their applause from the sidelines. After all, China has a long and cherished history of chivalry. People who acted heroically have always been admired, regardless of the era or place.

Of course, that was with the exception of modern society, governed by the rule of law.

Nowadays, everything had to be done in accordance with the law, and such acts of vigilantism were not encouraged. In fact, a few people in the crowd could be seen sneakily calling the police to report a public brawl. It was meant to give the troublemaker, the one so eager to play the hero, a little dose of modern reality.

The man, however, was bowing continuously to Sun Dasheng in gratitude. Overcome with emotion, he nearly fell to his knees in a grand kowtow but was quickly stopped by the sharp-eyed Sun Dasheng. "Brother, there's no need for that. We are all descendants of the Yellow Emperor. How could I stand by and watch you get bullied by a foreigner?"

"Brother, thank you so much. You have no idea, I felt like dying just now. It's so humiliating. Not only did I lose my own dignity, but I also brought shame to our country. I can already imagine all the mocking comments that will be trending tomorrow."

After comforting the man, Sun Dasheng turned and saw the two women who had just emerged from the crowd. He was particularly surprised to see Li Sili holding a hammer. "Didn't I tell you to wait outside? What are you two doing here?"

Li Sili quickly hid the hammer and squeezed out a smile. "Uncle, listen to me, we were worried something might happen to you, so we came in to lend you a hand."

"Is *this* how you lend a hand? Looks more like you're trying to get me sent to jail, don't you think?" Sun Dasheng said, looking pointedly at her hammer, clearly displeased.

Li Sili quickly put the hammer back in her purse.

"Uncle, don't be ridiculous. This is a prop for my videos. It's perfectly reasonable for me to have it with me, isn't it? It's not a weapon."

"Fine," Sun Dasheng sighed. He had no good comeback, and her explanation was plausible. Even if he were a police officer, he couldn't say much, and he wasn't one.

"Try not to carry such dangerous things around in the future. If you're worried about your safety, I'll find professional bodyguards for you."

Li Sili was about to refuse, but Fang Sihan tugged at her sleeve and whispered, "He means well, Uncle. Don't refuse his kindness."

Her best friend had a point, so she nodded. "You're right, Uncle. I won't carry this around anymore," Li Sili readily admitted.

His heart softening, Sun Dasheng patted her head. "I know you were just worried about me, otherwise you wouldn't have brought this over. My tone was a bit harsh just now, and I apologize for that. Let's both apologize, and then we'll agree to never mention this again, alright?"

Hearing this, Li Sili beamed with a happy smile. As long as Uncle understood her good intentions, she was content.

"Alright, Uncle."

WEE-WOO! WEE-WOO! WEE-WOO!

The sound of police sirens echoed from outside.

Seeing the police arrive, a good portion of the crowd quickly dispersed. These were the ones who wanted to avoid trouble. However, many curious onlookers who weren't afraid of a little trouble remained, gossiping amongst themselves.

"Who would've thought? That big, tall guy went down with a single punch!"

"Heh... This guy is definitely a trained fighter, and not just any fighter. He's an expert, a master. You laymen only see the spectacle, but we insiders know just how monstrously skilled he is."

"Is he really as good as you say? He looks tall and thin, not like an expert at all."

"You laymen just don't get it. His physical strength might not be much, maybe even less than that guy on the ground, but his speed and reflexes are absolutely top-tier. Haven't you heard the saying? 'In all of martial arts, no fortress is unbreakable, only speed is unstoppable!' He's one of those speed-based masters. Before you can even get close, he's already struck a vital point. Now tell me, isn't that impressive?"
