I will be a demon in this life!

Chapter 92

Once the classes were over Mart went with Selis and Asfil to the cafeteria, he talked a little about the exams with Selis and she gave him some notes about the important topics that had been explained by the teachers during the days he was in coma. After that talk with Selis in the cafeteria he immediately headed towards the library so that no one would interrupt him, since he wanted to finish his pending assignments as soon as possible.

-Hi Emy. -Greeting Mart with a smile and an enthusiastic attitude.

-Hi Mart. Are you going to continue with your rehearsal? -She asked while observing Mart's cheerful expression that had captivated her, but before he answered she said: "Don't force yourself to perform in front of me, you look worried, I know you care about me, be yourself.

-Thank you, I value your support. I'll go to the restricted library, I have clearance until I finish writing my essay. -Mart answered him with a more serene tone and walked between the shelves until he reached the black wall that then transformed into the giant angry face with the open mouth, and he entered without delay into the mouth that was the way to the restricted library.

Once in the restricted library, Mart used the booklet he got the first time he entered the restricted library, this time he immediately searched for books related to mana and demonic energy. But, as he searched through the huge shelves for books, he checked the booklet again and thought, "demon-created weapons." After Mart's request in the booklet the following notice appeared:

"Teacher ID required to access this information."

Mart looked at the countless books on the huge shelves and couldn't help but think that in the middle of that sea of books must be the information he was looking for. Still he resumed his idea of focusing on his essay and the other assignments.

Mart walked along carrying in his arms the books on mana and demonic energy that he had taken from the shelves, sat down at one of the desks farthest from the reception desk, after which he began to read each book to supplement the information he had used in his essay so far.

"I think tomorrow, I'll be able to finish it; maybe I'll also use the time to research other topics not available in the main library," Mart thought as he saw that he had finished most of the essay.

When Mart came out of the restricted library, he saw that everything was dark and remembered that he had already left when the main library was dark. Mart looked at the entrance and the door was open.

He walked through the door and when he looked back, the door was still open, he walked a few feet away, and the library door was now closed. He walked over, touched the door with his hands and it looked like a regular door.

"interesting, I must learn this kind of magic. This can be useful for escaping trouble or trapping an enemy if applied properly," Mart used his demonic perception to detect the type of demonic spells that composed the doorway entrance, but seeing the futility of his attempts he retreated back to his room.

••••

Mart was lying on his bed wearing a white sleeping outfit, at which point he asked the system in his mind:

"Demonic system, what attribute enhances your analytical ability?"

[Demonic energy]

[Recommendation: If the host reaches the fourth rank in the attribute demonic energy, this system will be able to offer a more comprehensive analysis of things.]

Mart remained silent after reading, the notification and then asked to corroborate something he presumed:

"System, why do I need all my attributes to be balanced for you to accept that I moved up in rank?"

[Host's level is too low to get a broad answer]

[Balanced attributes guarantee the host's survival].

Mart closed his eyes as he thought, "This must be related to true demons and the book demonic hearts."

••••

A few days later, over the weekend, an hour after sunrise, Mart had already turned in his assignments a few days earlier, and was now looking at a bench, which was in an area surrounded by trees, while throwing and catching a spiral-tipped blade.

-I don't think the principal will overlook you destroying school property. Don't worry, that doesn't mean anything anymore, you are everything to me now. -Said Selenia who appeared behind Mart and then grabbed his left hand with which some drops of blood fell to the ground.

Mart waved his right hand and from a demon ring he wore on the index finger of his hand emerged a tablecloth.

The two sat down and Mart handed her a note, Selenia read the note carefully. A few seconds later, she looked at Mart and said:

-It's not a problem. In a week you'll get the information you want.

-If there is anything you want, you can ask me for it. -Mart told her sincerely.

She nodded and they were both silent. Until he broke the silence and said to her:

-When you have the information let me know. We'll leave the academy and talk about it. You know that most likely they are listening to us.

Selenia smiled subtly, she was happy, she noticed that Mart was aware of her concerns, so she continued the conversation in a more natural direction:

-Are you prepared for the exams?

-I don't think I'll fail, with a few more days of study, maybe I'll get grades worthy of someone who aspires to A class. -Mart replied.

-You're not aiming for class S? -Selenia asked, staring at Mart.

-No, not yet. Maybe next year; but you should reach the S class, I know you wanted to reach the S class. -Mart suggested in a calm tone.

Selenia looked thoughtful after hearing Mart's answer, for her it was still a bit strange to think of a different existence sharing the memories and possessing the body of the real Mart. And although she didn't doubt that she wanted the Mart in front of her, she sometimes wondered, "what kind of being was he before?"

The two continued to talk until noon was about to arrive, after which they got up and went to the cafeteria together.

••••

The afternoon of that day Mart was lying on his bed practicing advanced type demonic formulas he read in the restricted library the day he finished writing the essay, and now he was trying to improve his demonic diagrams, to create stronger spells.

"I didn't have time to look for a book with advanced demonic formulas for curses, I'm not stupid to play with such dangerous magic."

Mart began to draw in the air five different demonic diagrams he had created some time ago, he drew them in a few seconds, after which he began to integrate into the demonic diagrams the advanced demonic formulas that could empower and stabilize the five diagrams representing different spells. He tried to integrate the formulas over and over again but the diagrams would fragment and disappear, still he did not give up, and after hours exhausting his demonic energy, he managed to improve the diagram with which he improved his vision and although it consumed more demonic energy, the increase was not excessive when taking into account the integrated advanced formulas and the increased range of vision.

"I have managed to adapt, solidly learn the knowledge of demonic magic, and have mastered to the limit of what is possible the demonic energy absorption technique. After the exams, I will prepare to use the accumulated rewards to increase my rank," after concluding what he would do in the future, Mart fell asleep.

••••

Mart awoke and light was beginning to tint the dark sky.

"I overslept; I must increase my demonic energy more," Mart thought as he sat up somewhat sleepily in bed, stretched his arms and then got up to go to the bathroom and take a shower.

When Mart got out he dressed in a white shirt and white shorts, sat down in front of the desk and took out the demonic staff with the glowing orange gem, to at least try to understand the circles that made up the demonic-magical structure that linked the demonic staff to the elemental gem.

"Boy, things don't just come out of nowhere. I need to expand my knowledge of advanced demonic sorcery," Mart thought as he infused his demonic energy into the demonic staff and attempted to create a small fireball.

-Hate. It hurts. Hate, hate. It hurts. It kills me. It burns me. I hate them... -Mart heard female murmurs of despair.

[The artifact is attempting to create mental instability]

[Warning: the host's sanity may be altered with its current level]

Mart did not ignore the warning and stowed the staff in his demonic bag.

Mart preferred to ignore what had just happened, he decided to be patient until he received what he asked Selenia, then use the break as the ideal time to increase his rank, so in the end he took out all his notes and placed them on the desk to prepare for the exams.

"These notes were also made by Asfil," thought Mart, who paused to look at the sun in the window, it was noon, then put away everything he used to study in his demonic bag and headed for the cafeteria.
