From Blade To Spell

Chapter 80: Plans

Aaron stared at the remaining 1500 experience points in his stats. He felt a twinge of helplessness, he'd been too busy to earn more. For a moment, he even considered going fishing again, just to replenish his reserves.

Still, he had enough to upgrade one spell to level 5. After some thought, he chose the Healing Spell. Its utility in emergencies was undeniable.

Without hesitation, he spent the points.

Inside his consciousness, the runes of the Heal spell began to glow brightly. A stream of new information flowed into his mind:

> Heal (Lv. 5) (Tier 0) (lv. Max) - Consumes 10 mana points to rapidly heal the targeted area. Accelerates natural regeneration by 10x for 2 minutes.

Aaron's eyes widened. The mana cost had dropped from 30 to 10, a major boost in efficiency.

More importantly, he learned that spells were classified by tiers. This was the first time he'd seen such a detail.

He murmured to himself, "Increasing regeneration might affect the body's energy…I'll need to test this on injured people to understand the full effect."

He walked toward the bonfire, where Torvald approached with a whisper.

"Aaron, with Toro's help, I was able to make the spring.

Here it is."

Torvald handed over the spring.

Aaron examined it, bending it with force. It held firm. The quality was solid, and it was ready for use.

He nodded, "Good work, Torvald. I'm eager to see how this progresses."

Torvald smiled, "Kelly's coming to report. I'll leave you to it."

Moments later, Kelly arrived.

"Lord Aaron, the people who signed up for training include all the sailors, Captain Monga among them. Also, 65 young recruits, including girls, and myself."

She continued, "From the village, 40 men and 30 girls have joined the training group."

Then she hesitated, "Even Sir Rumba came to ask if he and his guards could join. But I need your permission."

Aaron's expression turned thoughtful.

"How long does it take for someone to recultivate after losing their knight powers?"

Kelly shook her head, "I don't know, Lord Aaron. But maybe you should give them the Knight-level Breathing Method. If they can cultivate it, we'll know. If not, we risk wasting time, and losing valuable soldiers."

Her logic was sound. Aaron realized he'd been overconfident, assuming everyone could cultivate the methods he'd acquired, especially since they could be practiced up to Tier 10.

But now, caution was necessary.

He thought, "Maybe I should try practicing the Plant Breathing Method myself. If I understand its effects firsthand, I'll know what to expect, and how to guide others."

Aaron nodded thoughtfully, "Don't worry, Kelly. I'll keep your words in mind."

Kelly felt a wave of relief, Lord Aaron had listened.

"Is there anything else you want to report?" he asked.

Kelly nodded, "With the help of the women in the tribe, we can complete the clothing production within the next seven days."

Aaron smiled, "That's good. Make sure their contribution points are recorded."

Kelly replied promptly, "I've already done that, Lord Aaron."

Aaron nodded again, "Anything else?"

Kelly hesitated, then asked, "Lord Aaron… when will you start the school? You haven't taught the children at night like you used to on the boat."

Aaron's expression softened, "Soon, Kelly. Right now, everyone's working hard during the day. It's not wise to overburden them. Besides, we still need a reliable light source. Once that's solved, teaching for an hour or two won't be a problem."

Kelly nodded, her mind already turning over ideas.

Just then, Khumba arrived.

"Lord Aaron, how are you feeling now?"

Aaron replied calmly, "I'm perfectly fine. Why do you ask, Old Chief?"

Khumba looked relieved, "I came to see you earlier and found you in deep sleep. We decided not to disturb you."

Aaron's tone turned serious, "Old Chief, if monsters attack, or in any emergency, wake me up. No exceptions."

Khumba nodded, "Understood, Lord Aaron."

He continued, "Our people have cleared some trees around the area. Should we continue cutting?"

Aaron paused, "Not for now. Focus on clearing the bushes instead. Ask Rumba to send experienced guards to deal with snakes and poisonous insects."

Khumba nodded, "Don't worry. Even if someone gets bitten, we have a way to treat the poison. Unless monsters attack, wild animals and snakes aren't a major threat."

Aaron raised an eyebrow, "How do you treat the poison?"

Khumba explained, "There's a herb in this region, small, grass-like, with thorny leaves and a yellow center. We call it Yellow Herb. We crush the yellow part to extract juice. If someone drinks it after a snake bite, they recover within five minutes."

Aaron was impressed, "Old Chief, I have a task for you. Take a small group and gather these herbs. Dig them carefully, don't break the roots."

Aaron paused, then added, "Also, the lands in the north will be surrounded by wooden trees again. Once that's done, we'll plant the herbs there."

He had already confirmed the fertility of the northern soil.

Since the Yellow Herb proved effective, he intended to cultivate it in large quantities a vital resource for his trained soldiers during future missions.

With that in mind, Aaron knew land expansion was essential. But for now, his focus shifted to a more immediate threat the Gray Wolves.

Their nature was cunning and opportunistic. They would attack eventually, and Aaron needed to be ready.

He decided to begin fishing again starting tomorrow. His goal wasn't just food, but to lure monsters to the shore and eliminate them.

For that, he'd need monster meat as bait. The plan was forming clearly in his mind.

For now, he checked the map and made sure that there were no red dots. Sure enough, he found it was safe.

As time passed, the people chatted with one another even Torvald came over and spoke with Aaron.

At the center, the fire crackled, and the aroma of meat stew mixed with wild vegetables filled the air.
