The King of Black Fog

Chapter 363: Bloody Streamer

From the perspective of the little demon star, the Flower Fairy and Yang Qinglan had seemingly burst out from the ground.

At that time, she was so engrossed in feasting that she didn't realize that more than half of her body was missing—she had been inside the stomach of a highly corrosive flesh creature.

The stomach was open, and she was soaking in it as if bathing.

"You've come?" The little demon star tried to get up, but when she braced herself with her arms, only her upper body lifted.

"You're badly wounded." The Flower Fairy stared at the little demon fairy's wounds, which were all lined with flesh threads.

These threads looked like wool, as though the little demon star was a doll made out of red yarn.

The threads were flesh worms, even a single one, if not discovered in time, would cause an ordinary warrior to gradually wither away and die.

On some planets, it was sold as a weight loss product, to be removed at the hospital when the host had slimmed down sufficiently.

There were no hospitals here, nor doctors, so the little demon star could only wait for death unless she could restart her base star before that happened.

In the narrow space, "the sky" was filled with dark clouds and glittering snowflakes fell, as if an unstoppable army of ice was swiftly advancing and claiming everything on the ground.

The space seemed to have become the world within a glass snow globe, every detail more vivid than before.

The little demon star looked up at the snowflakes, then at Yang Qinglan, "Can I eat them?"

"Ignore her." The Flower Fairy said to Yang Qinglan, "Do you have any way to save her? If not, let's not take her with us."

"Then I can't let you just walk away; at the very least, I must consume an arm from each of you."

Neither of them was joking.

Yang Qinglan, holding the Ruyi, tapped it against the little demon star, and an information booklet flew over.

After reading, she confirmed the positions of all the flesh worms.

"Bear with it." The Ruyi transformed into the Emerald Bee Sword; she blew a breath, and the sword in her palm turned into a wisp of green light, burrowing through the little demon star's body like an earthworm tilling soil.

"Hmph!" The little demon star cried out in pain as the Emerald Bee Sword returned to Yang Qinglan's hand.

"Eat it."

"Eat?!" The little demon star's mouth instantly became so wide it filled the entire space—which was already small and shrinking.

Compared to her large mouth, what Yang Qinglan took out was merely a Blood Pearl.

As the Blood Pearl dropped into her stomach, the little demon star's icy body began to warm up, and she sighed as if coming back to life, if one overlooked her missing lower half.

To Yang Qinglan, this was also a minor issue.

She waved the Ruyi, which had transformed from the Emerald Bee Sword, maneuvering the Mi'er metal—armor that originally formed the lower half of the little demon star's body—fashioning limbs and grafting them onto her upper body as if she were God Himself.

"Oh!" The little demon star exclaimed in surprise, taking a couple of steps—such was the magic of "Needle Threading." "Now that I've lost my lower half, can I consume a bit of Mi'er metal? I've long wanted to taste it, but had no money. Damn Mier Company!"

"Better not eat it," the Flower Fairy warned her gravely.

"Can we go?" Yang Qinglan was never one to be overly helpful; if it hadn't been to preserve combat power—and the fact that saving the little demon star prevented her from wasting their time with an attack—she wouldn't have lifted a finger.

"Let's go." As soon as the Flower Fairy spoke, the vines continued to grow, and the little demon star quickly leaped onto them.

Behind the trio, the space where the little demon star had originally been started to split into several small mirrors.

The twisting degree of the surrounding space grew more severe, with nearly half of it becoming too small for them to stay in.

On the facets of the space, bloodthirsty, horrifying flesh creatures clung to it, watching them.

"Wow!" The little demon star made a face at these creatures, their visual systems unblinkingly focused on her.

On the retinal display device, two more darkened, including Abby and Li Qianxia earlier, making it four "gone" out of ten.

Li Changzhou increased his speed.

But he soon discovered that speeding up was pointless; the 'Flesh Space River' could not only split space but also blur one's sense of direction.

What seemed to be a straight advance might have been him moving in circles in place, and at this rate, he would never find Yang Qinglan and the Turquoise Pool.

The only comfort was that on the display device, the red light around Yang Qinglan and the Turquoise Pool was so dim it was almost non-existent, indicating safety.

If he was only worried about them, Li Changzhou didn't need to hurry... He watched the 'Si' on the display device for a while and decided to go upstream.

The layout of the 'Flesh Space River' was like a branched water system, and he was now on one of its tributaries. Ascending upstream, the closer he got to the main stream, the better he understood the "river's" layout, giving him a more comprehensive perspective.

At the same time, he would also face a greater impact from the "river water."

As mana was rapidly depleted, dropping by more than 900 points, Li Changzhou hadn't seen anyone, but he finally spotted footprints.

His targets were three people; the footprints in front of him matched the size of a normal Earth female, not Si's, so they had to belong to either Yang Qinglan or the Turquoise Pool—if they had removed their shoes, Li Changzhou could tell at a glance if they were Yang Qinglan's, but he couldn't tell them apart by footprints alone, having never consciously noted this detail before.

Li Qianxia stayed in the distance, not knowing why her brother hadn't proceeded, but since the space hadn't shrunk, it proved he was still there.

Suddenly, the space above her head twisted open like unlocking a lock, and Li Qianxia, without needing a reminder from Li Changzhou, and OKIS not requiring a word from her, shot into the air.

Having flown for a while, she sometimes got the illusion that she had entered an extremely elongated room made of glass.
