In the following few days, Aria and the party raided the dungeon with far greater preparation than their first run.
They now understood the powers that Aria possessed, so they coordinated with her and made her carry all kinds of survival and battle supplies in her storage space.
They now had access to far greater resources than they ever did, so the party that had only ever made it to the fifth floor over the years aimed to venture higher and cover the initial middle floors as well.
The party also understood the strengths and the weaknesses that they possessed.
The mobs throughout the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors were nothing before them.
With their captain being the shield that blocked any and all of the incoming attacks, they were able to focus on the incoming monsters.
The firepower of the party was great… they had a mage that possessed basic fire magic, someone who synergies perfectly with a long-range archer, as well as a support unit that had produced all kinds of items just for this dungeon run.
Finn, with his superior creation abilities, had made items that were perfect support items for their party: Arrows for the party archer, explosives that would activate with the fire magic, there were additional barrier artifacts, as well as items that synergised with Aria's abilities to make creatures stop in their place.
Kaela was using her items this time as well. There were boots that made her lighter, and the bow that she was using was also enchanted to make the arrows fired from it go farther and be faster.
She had an item that made the arrows more lethal than they might normally be as well.
But along with the four of them, the Role Aria was playing now had become more significant.
She was not only using her spike trap as an offensive weapon. She had only a limited number of CU, so she could not just use the traps however she liked.
The creation cost was set; however, the way they were going to be used depended on her creativity, which she had plenty of.
"A spike web for a targeted wide-area application that costs the same as one spike, a spike net to block and stop upcoming monsters, and a small needle-like trap that comes out wherever the bigger monsters step… we made quite the progress over the last few days."
Aria's {Creation} skill was slowly blooming as she learned more applications of her blueprint. She had an offensive blueprint that she could not only use when they were fighting, but also as an actual trap that activated only when the monsters fell for it.
The blooming abilities of the party pushed them forward.
Not only were they great when dealing with monsters, with Aria using her Material collection skill as well as her storage skill, the party progressed through the dungeon much faster than their first run.
Aria's offensive as well as new defensive abilities, her unique barrier applications that stunned the rest of them, as well as their party coordination, helped them defeat another boss monster on the 3rd floor, a giant boar the size of a small castle, almost a behemoth, with the power of wind attribute.
For this battle, they fought with Aria's barrier as well as the surroundings as protection. They used their bond understanding, which was produced with Qwy's presence, making the battle much easier.
Qwy, the eyeball that had not assisted in the battle until now, helped with her unique pheromones that aggroed the creature, as well as her {Glimmer paw} that temporarily blinded it at just the right moments, helping the party take down the giant being after a fierce fight.
After they moved higher and reached the middle of the 5th floor, they fought some more, explored the areas a little longer, and found a safe place to rest, creating a barrier around the party and settling down temporarily.
"Just what kind of class do you have for you to have so many different kinds of skills?" Finn couldn't help himself and asked the question right when Aria was in the middle of sorting out her thoughts.
The applications of skills and stats in the use of different blueprints were something she couldn't explain to others, even if she wanted to.
"Ummm… well, you can say it's a special class. It's not about what skills I have, but more about what I want my skills to do. It's more like application-based practical skills, I guess?"
She did her best to explain it, but there was visible confusion on the short creator's face.
"Is… that so?"
He was a support class creator. He could create magic engineering items, he could create potions, he could create spell scrolls, and he could enchant items. He may not have any specific battle skills, but his judgement during battle also came from the specialised skills.
Without him knowing when and how to use different items, the party would not work as efficiently as it did.
But Aria's skills were not focused on creation. She was not using environmental Mana to summon and unsummon the wooden spikes that possessed as great a power output as a high-class magic.
Her skills were not used at all, so as someone sensitive to Mana, he could not help but wonder how her skills actually worked.
"I know there are many different classes, and that there are some special classes that don't use the same kind of resources as the rest, so I guess you're a special one like them." Finn simply bruised it off once again.
He was not as interested in her skills as he was in the way she used them. She had an unusually fast reaction time that did not make sense; her senses were sharp, and the way she understood things was also different from what he could fathom.
That is why he wanted to learn from her… that is why he followed her every move closely, making sure he did everything he could to gain new enlightenment from her skills and actions.
"We will stop here today."
They stayed inside the dungeon for about nine days. They had made it to the 5th floor, but they were not going to attempt the Boss raid on the 5th floor, as they knew they weren't yet strong enough to face the monster that guarded the door to the next level.
The party was going to wait till they leveled up at least one more time or until they understood the lower floors a little more.
Once they can clear up to the 5th floor in under a week, they will try the 5th floor.
"Aww… I thought we would do it this time."
"The boss was still alive, so we cannot do anything now, can we?"
"It would have been a different story if the boss of the area had been taken care of."
They came out of the dungeon and went straight to the association castle for their material submission.
"Hey… did you hear?"
"Three parties? Are you kidding me?"
"That can't be. They were wiped out?"
However… there was a strange wave of negative whispers going around the association plaza, one that the party could not possibly ignore.
