The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 1802: Unexpectedly

After Luo Ziling returned home, he discussed the matter with his grandfather, Luo Liansheng.

Luo Liansheng was quite surprised by the proposal and arrangements suggested by Li Jinghui and Wu Mingyun.

He did not immediately make a statement.

"They are quite quick in their response," Ling Ruonan said gravely after hearing what Luo Ziling had to say, "They immediately thought of using your reputation for the endeavor and even tried persuading you from a moral standpoint. If it's their own idea, then it's really not simple."

"Mom, do you feel it would be unwise to agree to them so easily?" Luo Ziling was slightly surprised.

"Not necessarily," Ling Ruonan shook her head, "If you think it's feasible, then go ahead and agree with them. However, before you do that, I'd like to have a chat with them."

Luo Ziling understood what Ling Ruonan intended by saying "chat," so he didn't ask further.

"First, try to get He Yan and Dong Qichang on board. If they are interested, then the stage can be set," Luo Liansheng suggested to Luo Ziling after some consideration.

After contemplating, Luo Ziling decided to inform the four people learning from him first to let them relay the matter to their grandfathers. After they informed about it, he would contact those old gentlemen directly.

Thus, Luo Ziling left the villa and headed to the Northern Pharmaceuticals building.

Luo Ziling arrived at the building around nine o'clock, making Wang Hanying, Dong Xiaowan, and others quite surprised. Ishihara Naka and Xu Zhiyuan thought Luo Ziling might be there for another surprise inspection to check if they were present in the building, thus feeling a bit frustrated. But after Luo Ziling arrived, he didn't approach them. Instead, he spoke to Wang Hanying and Dong Xiaowan about the matter, leaving them puzzled.

Luo Ziling explained the situation to the four individually, asking them to first consult their respective grandfathers' opinions.

"Why don't you ask them yourself?" Dong Xiaowan questioned Luo Ziling with some confusion when he was discussing this matter with her, "Are you afraid they'll refuse, and you'll lose face?"

"Why do you have so many whys? You're not a curious baby," Luo Ziling replied irritably, "Someone's offering them a bigger stage to achieve in the field of traditional medicine research. It's up to them to decide whether they want to play their part."

"Hmph, full of tricks," Dong Xiaowan seemed to hold a grudge against Luo Ziling but ultimately didn't reject his suggestion, "Alright, I'll ask my grandfather tomorrow."

"If Yan University Medical School's traditional medicine program is formally established, you all might become instructors. Being a teacher at Yan University—such a proud title, aren't you interested?"

Listening to Luo Ziling's words, Dong Xiaowan paused for a bit before cautiously questioning him, "Are you trying to tempt me?"

"What's there to tempt about you?" Luo Ziling said and intentionally glanced at Dong Xiaowan's chest.

Dong Xiaowan instantly felt insulted and leapt up angrily, yelling at Luo Ziling, "Don't talk nonsense, that's not what I meant. Hmph, I'm not interested in playboys. Do you really think everyone is dying to throw themselves at you?"

"Okay, I'm not interested in chatting randomly with you, I'm going to sleep, goodnight," Luo Ziling said as he stood up, ready to leave.

Dong Xiaowan also stood up, preparing to close the door after Luo Ziling left.

Unexpectedly, Luo Ziling suddenly stopped and turned around to say, "About going to the Northeast—well..."

Before he could finish, Dong Xiaowan, unable to stop herself, accidentally bumped right into his arms.

Luo Ziling quickly released her and stepped back, then seriously said, "You're overdoing it, don't deliberately entice me!"

After saying that, he didn't wait for Dong Xiaowan to react, turned around, and left, closing the door behind him.

The sound of the door closing echoed as Dong Xiaowan snapped out of her shock.

"Luo Ziling, you jerk," she exclaimed like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, "You must have done it on purpose, jerk, pervert."

Unfortunately, by the time she opened the door to chase after him, Luo Ziling was nowhere to be seen.

There was the sound of a car starting downstairs. Looking through the window, she saw Luo Ziling's car driving out of the courtyard.

Dong Xiaowan wanted to go after him to confront him properly, but she ultimately gave up.

Returning to her room sulkily, she was still very annoyed.

She was puzzled as to how she ended up colliding with Luo Ziling's arms like that.

"I must have been a bit distracted, or perhaps that jerk did it intentionally, waiting for me to bump into him," thinking of this, she gritted her teeth.

Luo Ziling was, of course, a bit embarrassed. After escaping downstairs, he immediately urged Wang Zhenjun, who was waiting in the car, to drive away quickly.

Wang Zhenjun didn't quite understand but nonetheless started the car and left.

"Master Ziling, why are you in such a hurry?" Yang Xiaodong asked quizzically, glancing at Luo Ziling through the rearview mirror, "Like being chased by someone."

"I just suddenly remembered there's something to do at home, drive quickly and don't ask anything," Luo Ziling said, feeling quite flustered and annoyed, "Why do you all have so much to say? I can't fathom how my taciturn father trained soldiers with so many words?"

"Hehehe," Yang Xiaodong chuckled, not minding much.

While on the road, Luo Ziling received a message from Yang Qingyin.

She informed him that she had booked a high-speed rail ticket for the day after tomorrow evening heading to Hangzhou, arriving in Qiantang at around nine o'clock at night.

She also booked a hotel there, located at Wanghu Hotel by the West Lake.

"Classmate, the spring is in full bloom along the West Lake, and it's beautiful," Yang Qingyin sent Luo Ziling several photos, all of which were scenes by the West Lake.

The sight of willows swaying and blooming spring flowers opened up Luo Ziling's heart.

"Then let's let go of everything and enjoy ourselves, fully embracing the spring vibes," Luo Ziling replied to Yang Qingyin's message, his message tinged with sentiments, "Let's also prove our commitment to those around us through action."

The decision to go to the South with Yang Qingyin was made at this time. Both of them wanted to show those around them that their feelings hadn't changed.
