Birth Wheel?
What is this grinding wheel, and why is it named "reincarnation"?
Xiao Mu was filled with doubt and could not fathom the reason.
"Thank goodness this Birth Wheel is destroyed, otherwise we would never have been able to pass. Follow me and cross slowly."
Elder Zun whispered, then bent over and slowly walked across the grinding wheel.
Next came Huang Yuan, with Xiao Mu closely following behind.
Upon successfully passing the large grinding wheel, the narrow road quickly expanded, and the three of them reemerged into a vast world.
Wooo!
The faint sound of lamentation came from all directions as a cold chill permeated the air, filled with gusts of Yin wind.
Ahead was a Big River.
"Follow me!"
Elder Zun moved swiftly along the riverbank, with Huang Yuan and Xiao Mu closely behind.
Upon glancing at the Big River, Xiao Mu noticed the river water was black as ink, seemingly emanating a strong fishy scent, yet he was unable to smell anything.
This meant there was something unimaginably bizarre in the river water, trapping even the scent from escaping.
The three of them followed the riverbank, which was muddy. With each step, their feet sank deeply into the mud.
Xiao Mu intermittently felt his feet strike something hard, guessing it might be human bones, but he dared not lower his head to look, fearing it might provoke trouble.
After walking roughly four or five miles along the river, they saw a Willow Boat on the water's surface.
The boat was narrow and shaped like a willow leaf; it was both light and small, only over two meters long and half a meter wide.
The Willow Boat had no Halo or texture, appearing utterly ordinary, yet it floated quietly above the waters of the Blackwater River.
Elder Zun stepped onto the boat and moved to the other end.
Although the small boat was tiny, its load-bearing capacity was strong. Elder Zun entire frame stepped onto it and moved to one end; the boat showed no signs of swaying, nor did it tip to one side with weight.
"You come!"
Huang Yuan stopped and gestured for Xiao Mu to board first.
"Xiao Mu, come aboard, Old Huang and I will take the ends, and you stay in the middle. Be careful not to get even a single drop of the river water on you, or even a divine spirit would struggle to save you!"
Elder Zun sat at the head of the boat, turned back to call for Xiao Mu, yet spoke in a low voice, his expression extremely solemn.
Xiao Mu instantly understood why the two of them had arranged it this way.
Because his own strength was too weak, they were concerned that he couldn't manage alone, so they placed him in the middle.
Aside from a slight worry in his heart, Xiao Mu didn't feel pressured and boarded the boat as told, sitting down in the middle.
Throughout the process of boarding, Xiao Mu was exceedingly careful not to touch any of the river water.
Huang Yuan followed onto the boat, sitting at the stern.
Elder Zun extended his hand and slapped the water's surface behind him, a burst of Power striking the water, yet leaving it undisturbed as if unaffected. However, the small boat was propelled forward by the rebound force.
"Xiao Mu, you take the helm of the small boat, be careful not to use too much Power, lest you alert the Yin Spirits beneath."
Elder Zun suddenly stopped and let Xiao Mu steer the boat.
It appeared that his previous slap on the water surface was simply a demonstration for Xiao Mu.
"Okay!"
Xiao Mu did not try to show off, concentrating Power in his hands, and then patted the water behind him.
Starting with very little Power, for fear of awakening the Yin Spirits below as Elder Zun mentioned, the small boat moved extremely slight. Gradually increasing Power, the boat's speed began to pick up.
"Not bad!"
Elder Zun praised, appreciative of Xiao Mu's caution.
At the same time, Xiao Mu noticed that both Elder Zun and Huang Yuan were on high alert, their posture tense and vigilant.
The illumination on the surface of the Ghostwater River was entirely absorbed by the water, severely limiting Xiao Mu's vision, making it impossible to see what was ahead or determine the width of the river.
Xiao Mu decided not to guess and concentrated on steering the small boat forward.
The small boat glided across the surface of the Blackwater River without causing any disturbance; not even ripples formed.
Suddenly, a Bone hand extended out of the water without stirring any splash or sound.
The Bone hand was ghastly white, giving off an extremely cold sensation. It reached out from the left side of the small boat, heading straight for Elder Zun at the bow.
Hum!
Divine light flickered around Elder Zun, his Divine Power unrestrainedly burst forth, pressing directly against the Bone hand.
"Ah~"
From the chilling Bone hand came a scream as it quickly disintegrated, turning into Bone powder and falling onto the surface of the Blackwater River.
The fine Bone powder swiftly sank to the bottom of the river.
Witnessing this scene, Xiao Mu couldn't help but shudder.
The Blackwater River was so strange that even fine Bone powder couldn't float, deepening his sense of eeriness.
"Xiao Mu, on this river, when facing Yin Spirits, aside from using Divine Power, all other methods are ineffective."
Elder Zun spoke softly to Xiao Mu, even opting for whispered communication, clearly taking extreme care on this river, daring not to relax or speak carelessly.
"Received!"
Xiao Mu whispered back, immediately becoming more vigilant.
The Divine Power that Elder Zun had just released allowed Xiao Mu to make an accurate judgment.
Elder Zun was indeed a true Divine Spirit.
Two Bone hands emerged from the water, one appearing in front of the small boat and another on the boat's left side, both heading to grasp the boat.
Hum!
Divine light shone from both Elder Zun and Huang Yuan as they unleashed their power, each pressing against one of the Bone hands.
