"You don't want to?"

Perfected Xao stared fiercely at Shi Weiyuan.

Shi Weiyuan's timidity irritated him. It was humiliating. If Xiao Mu and the others could do it, why couldn't he?

Xiao Mu, Stone Soul, Wood Spirit were enjoying the spectacle, watching the Beast Race fight amongst themselves.

Shi Weiyuan was genuinely scared. He stuttered, "Boss Xao, luring demons is too dangerous, one mistake and people will die. Let's have someone else do it."

While he was speaking, he looked towards Stone Soul and Wood Spirit, hoping Perfected Xao would rearrange their positions and let Stone Soul and Wood Spirit continue to lure the demons.

Perfected Xao snorted. His authority had been challenged. "You're up. If others can do it, why can't you?"

"But..."

Shi Weiyuan's face pale, "Boss Xao, this could get me killed."

"Don't worry."

Perfected Xao's facial expressions were cold and hard, "I won't let you die easily."

Dai Jin laughed, "Shi Weiyuan, you know what happens if you defy Boss Xao's command."

Only Ji Xian's words sounded somewhat comforting, "Shi Weiyuan, Boss Xao said he won't let you die, just relax."

"No loyalty, all of you!"

His teammates had let him down at the crucial moment. Shi Weiyuan complained loudly, his tone filled with resentment.

"Enough, stop whining. Let's get moving."

Perfected Xao scolded impatiently.

Shi Weiyuan reluctantly closed his mouth, his resentful gaze sweeping over Dai Jin, Ji Xian, and Xie Wei, implying that they shouldn't seek his help in the future.

Dai Jin, Ji Xian, Xie Wei avoided Shi Weiyuan's gaze wisely, preferring not to spark conflict at this critical juncture.

The team set off again, continuing to venture deeper into the dimensional space.

After the World Mutation, many such small dimensional spaces had appeared, not very large, possibly the size of a normal town at most.

Within the hazy space, there were shrouded figures. A few demon figures were barely visible.

Gesturing for everyone to stop, Perfected Xao watched the direction of the demon stronghold gravely, "There seem to be too many demons this time, at least seven, at first glance."

"Such a large gathering of demons, there must be a strong one among them. A conservative estimate is that its strength is at the late-stage of the Fourth Realm. Everyone be careful, we could lose someone this time."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Mu sneered. He wanted to see if Perfected Xao would be convinced by Shi Weiyuan and temporarily put him, Stone Soul, and Wood Spirit on the spot.

But even if he was put on the spot suddenly, he wasn't frightened.

Perfected Xao was not persuaded by Shi Weiyuan. He still worried that Xiao Mu would steal the merit of killing the demon. He frowned and said angrily, "Shi Weiyuan, are you really planning to disobey your leader's command?"

My life is literally in your hands now."

"I know, get moving!"

Perfected Xao urged impatiently.

Shi Weiyuan dragged himself forward again. He didn't go far when he halted and let out a ghost howl towards the demon's gathering place. The howl sounded like a dog's bark, "Awoooo~"

"God damn it, this cowardly fellow!"

Perfected Xao cursed out loud.

Shi Weiyuan was simply too close to the demon's gathering place, so he was worried he wouldn't make it back.

Nevertheless, his antics caught the attention of the demons. Three demons charged out of the gathering place, screeching towards Shi Weiyuan.

From the tone of their screeches, it was clear that the advent of Shi Weiyuan delighted the three demons. After all, for them, Variant Beings from the human world were a Great Supplement.

"This isn't good!"

The expression on Perfected Xao's face changed, "Not all the demons came out. Maybe they just saw Shi Weiyuan alone and didn't think he was worth the risk."

"This won't work, Xie Wei, Dai Jin, you guys go too. Help Shi Weiyuan stall those three demons until all the other demons come out."
