Pillar of Yita

Chapter 7 Level 14_4

As a professional in life professions, one often has part-time jobs in multiple fields, before specializing in one direction. Shipbuilders of floating hovercraft are not only required to master magic guided engineering and forging, but they must also possess exquisite woodworking skills.

Last comes the inflation device for the buoyancy airbags. Eteliria's buoyancy balloons are filled with high buoyancy and stable Guy Dust, making the inflation device essentially a type of magic guided reactor. With Fang Hong's current technology, he was not yet able to produce it and could only place orders. However, he still needed to learn some related usage and maintenance theories.

But he had no plans to directly learn the production technology for the inflation device, as he estimated their ships wouldn't need it in the future.

After completing the matters planned, learning the design of flexible constructs, shipbuilding blueprints, and basic theories, which are currently the top priorities, Fang Hong then started to allocate the remaining cognitive experience points on those incidental skills:

The first is naturally the "Precision Calculation" skill.

Calling it an incidental skill might be an exaggeration, as it is actually the only core skill for construct lords between levels 10 and 14. Its effect is straightforward: each skill level increases total calculative power by 5%, requiring the basic theory of the construct lord branch—Mirroring Techniques—as a prerequisite.

He had already copied this skill at the Artisan's Office; this skill is one of the bases for the construct lord school, and it has a significant actual effect, but Fang Hong knew what he needed more urgently, so he only allocated it to level E (thus enhancing it by 10%) at the very end.

Then came another important skill within the construct lord skill system:

Gestalt Thinking [Intermediate Skill/Skills/Alchemy/Construct]

Level: D

"Can constructs have self-consciousness, and if they do, what kind of thought processes will they possess—"

When the flexible construct enters a fully automatic control state, calculative power consumption is reduced (2/3/5) points, and control precision is increased (5/10/15)%.

The function of this skill is to reduce the calculative power consumption when a combat artisan completely entrusts the flexible construct to system operation more than enhancing operation precision. It seems attractive, but as the reduction is too minor, it doesn't make much of a difference except for minor uses on small constructs like the Clockwork Fairy.

It is completely an incidental skill.

Its importance comes from the fact that it is the basis for a major skill tree in subsequent schools—the Cluster skill tree.

Next were the Level D mineralogy and botany skills that Fang Hong had wanted to learn last time but couldn't due to lack of experience. These are also prerequisites for the next phase of forging and woodworking skills.

Then there's a further enhancement of the basic magic guided theory and ether knowledge to Level C, which are the basic requirements for the next level's magic guided reactors, with the basic theories of small and medium flexible constructs each being upgraded to levels E and D respectively.

After upgrading the medium flexible construct basic theory to Level D, the school branch also chose the Ishurian School, naturally selecting [Consumption Reduction]—reducing the calculative power consumption of medium flexible constructs by 5%, and also receiving a synergistic effect bonus with magic guided theory, increasing calculative power by 5.

Woodworking and Dragon Society's forging skills were also each enhanced by one level. Since Dragon Society itself involves specialized forging, Level D has no school branches; woodworking at Level D chose a woodcutter specialization, which facilitated the upcoming acquisition of materials for reinforcing platforms.

Finally came combat experience, which he directly invested in strengthening related combat skills plugins. Due to the Shining Sea festival, he greatly benefited in this aspect, so Fang Hong simply chose a direction slightly favoring the Supreme One.

Skills such as strength enhancement, swift burst, diving attack—whether usable or not, were preemptively learned as a precaution. These basic combat skills are not actually very useful for combat artisans, except for the Supreme One, as they are not really expected to engage in personal combat.

However, the input of relevant experience would inevitably bring an improvement in physical attributes, and after all, high-level combat skill plugins used in constructs still require the operator to possess some relevant knowledge—hence why combat artisans are often referred to as half war profession professionals.

The three of them—or rather, two people and one fairy—left the ship workshop around three to four in the afternoon, with a planned meeting at the Adventurers' Guild on the other side of Golande.

Luckily, there was a magic guided tram within the city for transportation. However, Fang Hong first planned to head to the Temple of Knowledge in Anjina, just one stop away from the guild, to reinforce his reputation with a level-two professional title.

Inside the tram filled with the smell of metal and oil, shaking all the while, Fang Hong allocated the last bit of experience, and his level naturally reached half-way through Level 14. He knew that next, it was about making a push to Level 15, for which the relevant knowledge and skill books had already been prepared; only lacking experience.

Level 15 is an important stage for Invokers, marking the beginning of the third-tier profession, with a significant increase in experience requirements thereafter, and some profession-specific skills starting to appear at this stage.

From Level 15 to Level 30, this is the stage where Invokers officially leave the rookie category, and for most combat artisans, this is the point where they truly start to engage in multi-control fields.
