Pillar of Yita

Chapter 4 Arriving at Colin_2

The sensation of tapping grew stronger and stronger—

"How are you today, Mr. Knight?" Miss Tata closed a large book and raised her head from behind to ask.

Fang Hong looked at his Miss Dragon Soul and gently shook his head.

"I can't figure out if the situation is good or bad. I can't discern its purpose; it seems to be merely tapping at my spirit world, sending out an unconscious signal," Fang Hong thought of a way to describe it.

The feeling was like that of a hatchling dragon scratching at its eggshell with its claws before breaking free, trying to open a crack to poke through with its first curious gaze.

Or perhaps, like the unconscious movements of a fetus.

Although the latter analogy always felt a bit odd to him, so he didn't voice it—yet Miss Tata had already received his thoughts. She only gave him one look, not finding it inappropriate at all. On the contrary, she agreed with the description, finding it very precise.

Miss Tata then calmly mentioned another matter, "In this case, I temporarily can't stay in your spirit world, Mr. Knight."

Fang Hong looked at Miss Fairy on the table with some surprise, "But if you maintain invisibility in the outside world all the time, won't you get exhausted?"

Miss Tata answered, "The Ether Wind has its ebbs and flows, so to speak, indeed."

After thinking for a moment, Fang Hong replied, "Then, we'll have to introduce Miss Tata to everyone," and he sought her opinion, "Is that alright?"

Miss Tata just nodded lightly, "That would trouble you, Mr. Knight."

Fang Hong noticed the look on her face and couldn't help saying, "A Fairy in the form of a Dragon Soul is not common, and there are also some fairies who travel with humans, so it's really not a big deal. Besides, I'm an Invoker, and some luxury versions of the system also come with fairy guides, which look quite similar to you—"

Miss Tata looked at him and quietly replied, "I'm not worried about that, Mr. Knight."

Fang Hong was briefly stunned, suddenly glimpsing her thoughts in his mind—a large Tianlan was touching Miss Fairy's face.

His expression became somewhat bizarre, as he realized that this was her concern all along? Miss Tata hung her head, a faint blush on her face; although there wasn't much emotional turmoil in her heart, for some reason, this thought alone made her feel a tad embarrassed.

Fang Hong coughed softly before responding in a low voice, "I'll keep Tianlan further away from you."

Miss Tata nodded gently, her hands placed somewhat awkwardly on her clasped knees.

After a while, Fang Hong properly packed away the Ring of Golden Flame, but this time he didn't put it back in the drawer. Instead, he wrapped it in a piece of parchment and kept it close. He took a "Colin Ishurian Geographical Record" from the shelf, flipping through a few pages—the cabin was quiet, but he couldn't concentrate on his reading.

Luckily, it wasn't long before shouts could be heard from the deck.

Suddenly, a rush of footsteps came down the stairs, and Tianlan knocked loudly on the door, shouting, "Brother Ade, we've arrived!"

Fang Hong finally put down the book, coming back to his senses, realizing where they had arrived.

The Colin Continent.

The lookout must have spotted the edge of the continent.

He tumbled out of his hammock, but considering the many people on the ship, Fang Hong didn't plan to reveal Miss Fairy's presence just yet. After a quick discussion, Miss Tata made herself invisible, and they went out together.

Upon opening the door, there were Tianlan, Gita, and Xiangzi squashed together outside, the latter looking reluctant—no need to guess, he was undoubtedly dragged over by a loud young girl.

He, Tianlan, Gita, and Luo Yu were of similar age, and they quickly became familiar with each other.

"Brother Ade," Gita greeted him with a soft, shy demeanor, her face blushing politely.

Fang Hong nodded in acknowledgement to her as well.

Tianlan didn't care about formalities and immediately started chattering, "The sailors have seen the edge of the land; that's the entrance to the Aegna Canyon, Brother Ade, do you know what that place is?"

Fang Hong nodded.

Of course, he knew. That was the very northern edge of the Colin Main Continent.

Unlike the elongated Sea of Ancient Trees, the Colin Main Continent was the primary landmass of the Cloud Sea continent cluster, the homeland of the Colin People, the Mother Continent. Excluding the Luyuan Islands, the Colin Continent covered an area of approximately ten million square kilometers.

It extended east from Saint Hugon Corner to the Sand Sea of Istania, with an isolated mountain range in the center connecting it to the next largest Ishurian Continent to the east. This range spanned from the Kudi Mountain Range to the Pillar Lone Mountain, forming the backbone of the Continent.

The Dwarves had given it a name—Eldron.

And looking south from the Sanctified Forge Hall's solitary peak, glaciers melted into rivers that plunged straight down from an altitude of tens of thousands of meters above sea level, flowing through vast forests, and pouring into the swampy lowlands of Nulinari.

That place was teeming with rainforests, forming what is now known as the Asuka Kingdom.

The mysterious land of the Blood Lizard lineage.

Further east, the cape protruded from the edge of the continent, forming Saint Hugon Corner that entered straight into the Cloud Sea; this was also the location of the Kingdom's Longstaff Bay. It was a region very different from the Main Continent, where ancient tales of legendary female pirates are still told to this day.

Turning back west of the mainland's spine, there lies a land blessed with lush greenery, moistened by the westerly winds over the starry sea, with a mild climate and meandering rivers forming plains sprinkled with thriving cultures.
