Pillar of Yita

Chapter 251: The End

The trembling of the ground was gradually subsiding.

At the edge of the forest, Mr. Greyrock was finally able to try standing up.

Above Saddle Bridge, Atira and Reed exchanged worried glances before looking toward the Green Dragon Mountain Range. Inside the carriage, it was a scene of chaos, as objects that had been fixed on shelves were strewn about due to the earlier ordeal. Amid the mess, Tianlan was propping herself up on a cabinet, rubbing a bruise on her forehead with a look of grievance.

She had accidentally knocked her head at the corner of the table while tidying up, nearly splitting her head open.

It was then that Luo Yu walked in from outside and reached out his hand, "Are you okay?"

Tianlan glanced at him and sighed unusually, "I'm fine, but we promised to take good care of these things for Brother Ade, and now it's a mess here."

"There's nothing you could do about it; it's not your fault."

"I know, but I'm worried about Brother Ade."

Both fell silent at the same time. Luo Yu also frowned, looking toward the distant mountains.

He suddenly spoke up, "It seems the earthquake has subsided."

"Gita said the Ether Reaction at the center of Fenris Isle is weakening."

"Perhaps the Captain will be alright—"

"Hopefully so."

...

Underground World, time rewinds to fifteen minutes earlier.

Atop the altar, Salrutaka gave Fang Hong a cold smile, then raised the wooden wand in his hand and shot a dazzling red light toward him—simultaneously, a gunshot rang out as Hilveld also pulled the trigger in one direction.

But it was too late, the red light had already shot out from the wand, closing in on Fang Hong who was still adjusting his Reinforced Gloves, seemingly too slow to react.

However, at that moment, a smooth, mirror-like, silver little shield suddenly appeared, blocking in front of Fang Hong—it was the α-type Mirror Reflection Shield, capable of reflecting all aimed spells, with a four-hour recharge time, and by now, it was naturally fully charged.

If it had been Salrutaka's Divine Strength Spell, he could have ignored such a medium-ranked Magic Item, but sadly, his divine power was being constrained under the Obelisk's Sealing, with the aged Night Lizard People Prophet he currently controlled merely a mere mortal.

The spell of a mortal was naturally bounded by mortal rules; the red light hit the mirror, Fang Hong was unharmed, and the light was immediately reflected back, hitting the chest of Salrutaka who showed a shocked expression.

It opened its mouth to shout, but a lead bullet flew in, hitting its head and blasting half of its skull open.

Losing its head, and with a large hole in its chest, the corpse of Prophet Kopan fell straight down, its wooden wand dropping to the ground.

Fang Hong let out a sigh of relief, thankful that Parker had noticed the guy coming up from another direction and had warned him beforehand. Otherwise, at such close distance, even with the Mirror Reflection Shield, he might not have been able to react in time.

But below was chaos, and he was unsure of the whereabouts and safety of others. The location of the Lizardman Prince Tainaric was also worrying. He had Xiangzi on the lookout, but still, no results had come back yet.

Not far away, the wand in the hands of Prophet Kopan was actually a decent Magic Guided Wand, but Fang Hong didn't have time to pick it up as from amidst the swirling fog below, Toragotos's huge wings had already spread, rising up.

He dared not linger, placed his hand on the Energy Angel, and immediately initiated the teleportation command.

A silvery light, both disappeared in a blink.

Only Fang Hong didn't notice that as he started to Blink, a surge of black mist suddenly emerged from the lifeless body of Prophet Kopan, lying motionless on the ground. The mist hovered in mid-air, seemingly forming a glowing eye within it.

It looked up, also surging toward the Obelisk above.

While Fang Hong took a turn in mid-air, Blinking back toward the Obelisk, as soon as he landed, he felt something was amiss—the Obelisk was originally situated on top of a Pyramid that floated above the altar, forming the style of a Floating Island—but now, Fang Hong found himself seemingly in a Phantom Realm.

The tall Obelisk stood not far away, at the top of the stair-tiered summit, but the surrounding fog was so dense that he could no longer see the outside scene, as if in a vast open space with only him and the Obelisk—and this engulfing fog.

Fang Hong was inwardly apprehensive, but dared not stay still. He walked steadily forward, approaching the Obelisk, reaching out to it.

But just then, a bright light suddenly appeared within the fog—that light he was extremely familiar with, it was the same eye he had seen in the Phantom Realm of Toragotos. He carelessly met its gaze, and an immediate immense pressure surged from all around.

Fang Hong instantly felt a chilling consciousness invading his mind.

His heart chilled, but a crisp reprimand came to his ears, "Stay alert, Mr. Knight!"

This reprimand seemed to awake him suddenly, shaking his head to regain his senses. Fang Hong instantly realized that it was Miss Tata's voice, breaking out in cold sweat. He certainly understood that the chilling consciousness came from Salrutaka—unexpectedly still laying a trap for him in this place.

Salrutaka was a Lizardman Deity, while he was the Chosen; theoretically, the opponent shouldn't be able to easily occupy his mind.
