Chapter 171: The 2nd Blessing Language of Stars_2

But the question was, why limit the Trialers' Levels of entry if that was the case? Or was there a power restriction inherent within the relic itself, or was it for some other reason?

He furrowed his brows, listening to the words of Toragotos, and involuntarily touched the back of his right hand with his left.

Sure enough, the next moment Toragotos responded with his aged voice, "You are a surprise brought to us by Telaric, you, along with it, and Prince Sokin, are all chosen by the Stars. But you are a bit more special, for you are The Chosen of the Holiest."

"The Chosen of the Holiest?"

"Invoker, that's what you call yourselves, right?"

Fang Hong nodded, wondering if being an Invoker was anything special—they were merely guests from another world.

But Toragotos did not directly answer this question, instead, he bypassed it and said, "You possess the Power of Pale Glory, the symbol of the bearer of the Hailin Crown, its power is very special. Because Milaila—Hailin Crown is forged from the flames of the world's fragments, possessing a pure power that restrains all Dark Forces."

Fang Hong was startled and alarmed; the Hailin Crown was his greatest secret, which he hadn't even shared with Hilveld, yet the opponent saw through it at a glance. And he realized why Nikopolas spoke to him with a tone of loathing, for the Dark Giant Dragon indeed could be considered the ultimate form of Dark Force.

However, the opponent's obsession with the power of Pale Glory seemed to be more than just that. He vaguely felt that Toragotos was hiding something from him, and he had never heard of the flame of the world's fragments before.

However, he finally figured something out, and couldn't help asking, "So, the four divine artifacts left by the Numelin Elves for humans, Dwarves, and the Wilderness People, are in fact a qualification to find the seven Spires?"

"Indeed, mortal," the corpulent toad answered in a hollow voice.

"But why didn't they just leave the Holy Grail directly to mortals, why make it so complicated?" Fang Hong couldn't help but ask.

"Xinsas, Numelin, they all descend from the Ancient Sages. Their intentions are not something mortals can see through. They have their reasons for such arrangements," the former looked at him with disdain and replied.

Fang Hong rolled his eyes inwardly, thinking just say you don't know.

He looked towards Toragotos, but the old Dragon also shook his head, "When the Numelin Elves left, they took everything, nobody knows why they arranged it this way, and all we can do is accept it."

That was indeed the truth.

Fang Hong frowned and asked, "So the purpose of this trial is to find that Spire?"

"Finding that Spire would indeed be good, but I only saw it once in my youth, and I have been arranging for people to inspect it all these years, just to confirm its location again," Toragotos replied, "but this time, what I am most anxious about is the corrosion below, I suspect they have already begun affecting the surface world. I felt that presence on the Night Lizard People just recently, and it confirmed my suspicions."

"Corrosion?" Fang Hong was somewhat surprised.

"There are rumors that a Dark Deity sleeps beneath Fenris Isle; though nobody has ever seen it, the relics below are indeed filled with Dark Forces," Toragotos replied, "because of a mistake I made when I was young, that force has become quite active over the past hundred years. I am worried that one day they might reach the surface, and that would be a terrible disaster for the entire Fenris Isle."

Fang Hong recalled the scenes he had seen in his memories and said, "You mean to have us solve this issue, but Lord Meijeli, you are the most powerful being in Colin Ishurian, why don't you rectify this mistake yourself?"

"Watch your tone, kid," the Old Dwarf finally spoke up for the first time, annoyed, "What do you think made old Toragotos look like this? Dragons' lives are not just a thousand years. It is because he has been using the Divine Artifact's power of Milaila to suppress the Dark Forces underground, linking himself with this place, that he has become what he is now."

Fang Hong realized, "So Lord Meijeli is so weakened, does that mean the situation underground has deteriorated beyond imagination?"

Toragotos nodded with difficulty and sighed deeply, "This matter must not be revealed, young man, even if you do not wish to complete this trial, please keep it a secret. Although I have committed the kingdoms and my Dwarf friends to help in relocating the island's residents, no one expected the situation to worsen so quickly. The Night Lizard People have always been indifferent to us, unwilling to stand with humans, and the current storm has further delayed the entire plan. I worry it may cause panic on the island, leading to uncontrollable chaos."

Fang Hong fell silent for a moment; he was definitely going to participate in the trial, and below, although possibly perilous, their lives were probably not in danger with the protection of Milaila's Semi-Divine Artifact.

But what concerned him was another issue, "If the Kingdom of Colin and the Dwarves of Ishurian both know about this, why not entrust them? After all, they seem more reliable than trainees and us newcomers, right?"
