Chapter 114: Return to the Origin The Remaining Sword_2

Especially Fang Hong and Hilveld.

That golden light barrier appeared so familiar to both of them.

Nikopolas looked at the light shield with both shock and anger, "This is that woman's power!"

Misu slowly walked to the front, looked at Diket, and showed a trace of relief, "Mr. Diket, you indeed haven't forgotten our promise."

The older knight only stared at the Dark Giant Dragon, answering without turning his head, "Thirty years ago, day and night I haven't forgotten; I took a solemn vow that my remaining life was just for this moment today."

"Thank you, and those words aren't just for myself."

Of the three, only Luen looked at the golden light barrier with a complex expression.

"What should we do then?" Red Leaf couldn't help but ask her. She finally noticed that this strange woman was the mastermind of this battle.

Misu looked at Nikopolas and answered, "Nikopolas is an elite among the Dark Giant Dragons, only Galapeya can pose a real threat to it. Cover me as I engage in combat, it's best if you can target its once-injured eye."

But Red Leaf gazed at the sword in Misu's hands.

Despite the sword being unmistakably the Fairy Holy Sword Galapeya, she seemed hesitant, "But that sword..."

She clearly remembered, from an earlier scene, that the Blade of Victory had already been destroyed by the Messenger.

Her words had hardly left her lips when Nikopolas had already started laughing wildly, "Without the Blade of Victory, she is but a phantom, and now even if you still possess some of that woman's power, what can you do?"

The aura in the giant dragon's eyes was one of invincibility.

"In this setting, without the Blade of Victory, I am an invincible existence." With that, she spat a torrent of flames down toward the square.

The golden light barrier instantly shattered to pieces.

"Dodge!"

Misu shouted loudly.

Everyone scattered, evading the spreading flames.

"Mr. Diket!" the lady called out again.

The older knight nodded, stretched out his hand toward Nikopolas, and a golden light shot from his palm, targeting one of the Dark Giant Dragon's wings.

Fang Hong also activated his Walker III model, with Red Leaf behind him taking out the Annihilator QV700.

"Miss Hilveld," he called back, "you take the high ground."

"Be careful, Captain." Hilveld nodded lightly, flipped open the locks on her case, quickly assembled the Magic Guided Gun, and she along with her maid disappeared behind an alley.

"And what about me?" Parker called out loudly.

Fang Hong glanced at him, "Did you know that the Papalarians have a racial talent?"

"What?"

"Sure to not die, so best of luck."

"What, this is unfair treatment!" Parker shouted in outrage.

But Fang Hong had no expectations for someone whose primary job was a cartographer, with Nightingale and Crossbowman as secondary professions, to accomplish much. After all, that guy would take good care of hiding himself, so there was no need for Fang Hong to worry.

Meanwhile.

The golden radiance in the older knight's hand enveloped the giant dragon, and the latter seemed to fear this power immensely. It roared furiously, "You damned bugs—"

But it thrashed left and right, unable to break free, only able to spew fire continuously, causing a dangerous situation for everyone on the square.

Out of everyone, Fang Hong had the lowest level, and he was nearly caught by the Fire Cone for running a bit slow, but thankfully Red Leaf rushed from behind and shoved him out of the way, just narrowly avoiding the blast of flame.

Nevertheless, Red Leaf was injured herself, frowning as she clutched her burnt right arm.

Fang Hong took cover behind a broken wall and looked at her, feeling a bit guilty, "I'm sorry, I should have been able to dodge to the right."

Red Leaf gave him a disdainful look, "Still showing off? If I hadn't insisted on following you, you would be dead right here."

Fang Hong thought that he might not necessarily have died from that flame since he still had that strange mark on his hand, but he couldn't say that out loud since she was injured trying to save him.

All he could do was touch his nose with an embarrassed gesture.

Red Leaf couldn't help but feel annoyed by his demeanor.

They then peeked out, only to see Misu moving swiftly across the square to the other side of the Dark Giant Dragon. She looked back and called out, "Luen, Mr. Diket!"

The older knight, already in a stalemate with Nikopolas, upon hearing the shout, relaxed his grip, and the golden glow in his hand immediately disappeared.

Nikopolas had not expected the opponent to suddenly let go, and, caught off-guard, stood fully up and stumbled backward.

There used to be a tall luxury hotel there, now reduced to a frame in the midst of the conflagration, which collapsed instantly under its weight.

However, the dragon scales were impressively defensive, and immune to fire, so the most this did was make it lose its balance somewhat.

Nikopolas screeched trying to stand back up, but in its amber vision, someone was already climbing a nearby rooftop, hurtling toward its eye.

That person was none other than Luen, wielding the sword forged by Misu's father.

Though an ordinary sword posed almost no threat to a giant dragon, Nikopolas had long passed the time of arrogance. It let out a roar and swept its wing towards him.

Luen rolled forward on the rooftop to avoid the strike, causing only half the house to collapse under the dragon's wing. But he did not expect that Nikopolas' attack was a feint, and the real deadly move was in its tail.
