Reverse War Surpass Immortal

Chapter 284: Delaying Tactics

"It seems that your Human Clan has quite a few tricks up your sleeve when it comes to dealing with the Netherworld Dark Clan!"

The queen praised.

"Thank you for Your Majesty's compliment! Generally, when we Human Clan deal with the Netherworld Dark Clan, we target their weaknesses to eliminate them!"

Duan Gujin said, a glimmer of hope flashing across his mind; he felt that he might be able to secure survival for himself and other Human Warriors through cooperation with the Queen of the Female Xingyu Clan.

"Then could you set up some Arrays for us to counter the Netherworld Dark Clan? I've heard before that your Human Clan can create very powerful Arrays. Is that true?"

After a while, the Queen asked.

Upon hearing this, Duan Gujin's eyes suddenly shone with a sharp light.

"Your Majesty, it is indeed true. The enemy of our enemy is our friend. I can create some special Defensive Magic Arrays targeting the Netherworld Dark Clan for Your Majesty, but I need some manpower to help me construct these Arrays! If Your Majesty really wants to create these Defensive Magic Arrays, please release the other warriors confined in cages. Let them do some hard labor for Your Majesty!"

Duan Gujin said, his eyes flickering.

The Queen thought for a few moments after hearing Duan Gujin's words, and then she said to Tie Yi, the Female Xingyu Clan Member who had brought Duan Gujin over: "Tie Yi, bring the other Human Clan Members here!"

"Okay!"

Tie Yi immediately went to do so.

At this point, the Queen said to Duan Gujin, "Besides needing labor, what else do you need?"

Duan Gujin was initially surprised that the Queen had agreed to his suggestion so readily. After being startled for a moment, he replied, "Your Majesty, besides labor, I also need a great deal of materials to construct the Defensive Magic Array. I am not sure how many materials you have at hand. Please allow me to take a look at what materials you have!"

"Is that necessary?"

The Queen looked at Duan Gujin somewhat puzzled.

A sharp light flashed in Duan Gujin's eyes; he quickly reached a conclusion in his mind. He felt that the Queen must truly believe what he had said earlier.

If she didn't believe him, she wouldn't have ordered Tie Yi to bring the warriors trapped in cages.

Judging by the Queen's current reaction, Duan Gujin concluded that the Xingyu Clan must truly be in danger.

If the Xingyu Clan were in a good situation, the Queen wouldn't be putting her hope in a Human Clan Member whose strength was completely unknown.

"It's very likely that the Netherworld Dark Clan has gained a major advantage!"

Duan Gujin quickly thought of this possibility.

"I would appreciate it if Your Majesty could give me more hints. I'm very curious about the current situation outside. If Your Majesty wishes to defeat the Netherworld Dark Clan, you must tell me everything about our enemies, so I can analyze their weaknesses for you!"

Duan Gujin said.

"Alright, I'll tell you! I believe your Human Clan also knows some of the situation. Here in the Fire Cloud Continent, we, the Xingyu Clan, have always been arch-enemies with the Netherworld Dark Clan. Originally, we were evenly matched, with neither able to completely annihilate the other! But recently, we discovered significant changes in the spatial rifts here. Simply put, many places have been overtaken by the fierce flames released by these rifts. We have lost a lot of territories, and those we have lost were occupied by the Netherworld Dark Clan!"

The Queen replied.

Duan Gujin felt elated after hearing this; he knew that if the Xingyu Clan truly were in grave danger, the Human Clan Members could live a little longer.

Although the Queen was planning to use them as cannon fodder, Duan Gujin felt this was a great opportunity to buy time for himself and the other warriors.

After a while, Tie Yi arrived with the other warriors.

Upon seeing the other warriors, Duan Gujin quickly said to the Queen: "I earnestly request Your Majesty to detoxify them!"

"Detoxify? Detoxify what poison?"

The Queen, after hearing Duan Gujin's words, furrowed her brows tightly, indicating that she had no idea what he meant.

Duan Gujin's eyes flashed, explaining, "Your Majesty, look at these friends of mine; they are all in a terrible condition. How can I expect them to move heavy stones? I implore Your Majesty, detoxify them! Once they regain their strength, they will be able to work for Your Majesty!"

The warriors present were shocked upon hearing Duan Gujin's words. Many of them looked at Duan Gujin with odd expressions, filled with doubt.

Many couldn't understand why Duan Gujin could talk with the Queen for so long.

Some warriors, upon hearing the conversation between Duan Gujin and the Queen, even thought that Duan Gujin was the one who had betrayed them, and their gazes were filled with scorn and hatred.

There were also some warriors who could not understand at all how Duan Gujin was able to speak directly with the Queen, feeling it was extremely unfair.

Remembering what they had encountered before, they felt that they must have been betrayed by Duan Gujin.

"The Queen did not poison them!"

The Queen stated with certainty.

Duan Gujin remarked, "Your Majesty, considering the sickly state of these Human Clan Members that you see, how can they serve Your Majesty more effectively?"

"Indeed, as you said, they all look sickly, as if they are about to die. I used to think that the Human Clan was naturally so. Are you telling me now that they are actually poisoned?"

The Queen asked, puzzled.

Duan Gujin observed and listened, feeling that the Queen likely wasn't lying to him.

But if she wasn't lying to him, then why were all the Human Warriors he saw in such a weak state, their bodies filled with such potent poison?

What exactly was going on?

"Tie Yi, do you know what's wrong with these Human Clan Members?"

The Queen quickly inquired Tie Yi.

Tie Yi immediately answered, "Your Majesty, we didn't poison these Human Clan Members. The reason why they are in this state right now is that they cannot digest our food. The food consumed by the Human Clan differs from what we, the Star Feather Clan Members, consume!"

"Is that really the case?"

Duan Gujin sneered inwardly after hearing Tie Yi's words. He felt as if Tie Yi was trying to shirk responsibility.

"My friend, what I'm saying is the truth! It's because our diets differ. We eat our food and are fine, but when you eat it, it causes major issues! To put it simply, the constitution of your Human Clan is too fragile!"

Tie Yi replied with firm conviction.

Duan Gujin roared internally, his gaze locking onto Tie Yi, eyes flickering uncertainly.
