Water Mage in the Flame Realm

Chapter 185: A Woman Like a Mountain

"Shit! Run!"

A group of young people led by Sabye and Debbie, who had come with great momentum earlier, were now running faster than anyone else.

Not because they were afraid of Havier, but because they were afraid of that thing in Havier's hand!

As for some ordinary passersby present earlier, they had long run away under Leia's urgent whispers as soon as Havier stood up and took out that unknown terrifying magic artifact.

"Act!!"

Andrew gave a shout and was the first to rush forward.

Almost at the same time, Ivan, Barbara, Leia, and the middle-aged man originally confronting Ivan also charged ahead.

"I must catch up! I absolutely must catch up!" Andrew burst out his fastest speed ever, "Otherwise, after struggling to reach Warm Fire City, I'll be dragged into mutual destruction by an idiot who lost his mind? The end of the story?"

Andrew genuinely felt that if this were the finale, he would indeed be remembered by everyone—as an utmost embarrassment!

If previously he felt the warm atmosphere of Warm Fire City, followed by cold violence and rudeness from Barbara's mother, now Andrew's deepest feeling was "absurd": What's going on with the Warm Fire Commerce Association? Can they manage it or not? The young master of the association wants to perform explosive art in the city, and no one steps in?

Unbeknownst to Andrew, at the moment he chose to rush forward instead of fleeing, certain eyes covertly watching the scene finally moved slightly. Previously, even when Andrew cleanly and skillfully subdued both Havier and Sabye, those eyes remained calmly indifferent!

At the same time, it wasn't just those two pairs of eyes focused covertly on the scene; several other strong but restrained presences also watched. Unlike the openly prepared Shield of Flowing Fire, Warm Fire City seemed lax but actually had more impregnable protective power.

Watching that bright red flame about to explode in the irrational Havier's hand—

"Alright, stop."

A gentle, slightly hoarse voice sounded at the scene.

This voice transformed into a soft force that pushed Andrew, who had been rushing forward at full speed, back.

"Huh?" Andrew's expression changed. He wasn't as fast as Ivan, but because he was closer and more determined when he started to rush, Andrew had nearly caught up, very barely but... he had caught up.

Yet now, he was pushed back!

The same voice continued, "Madam gave you this treasure to save your life, not to blow up half of Warm Fire City."

This latter half was obviously directed at Havier.

The tone had turned stern!

Andrew's vision momentarily blurred, and then he couldn't see Havier anymore.

Replacing him was a figure seemingly as large as three Ivans bound together, standing between him and Havier.

With the appearance of this figure, not only Andrew but also Ivan, Barbara, and Leia were all pushed back by an invisible force.

In mid-air, flying backward, Barbara instinctively reached out to steady Leia, Andrew lightly held Barbara's waist, and Ivan supported Andrew's shoulder.

When the four finally landed on the ground, sweat was dripping from all of them.

Even Barbara, who had utmost confidence in Warm Fire City's defensive power, almost thought a grand incident was about to occur!

Fortunately, it's alright now... right?

Though landing back, Andrew still didn't feel completely relieved, watching the enormous figure.

From behind, it seemed... like a woman?

It was indeed a woman.

A woman with a surprisingly exaggerated, mountain-like build!

Despite such a physique, her speed was astonishingly fast.

In a flash, appearing before Havier, the woman gave a heavy snort, stretched her hand, and with a pinch, extinguished the flame in Havier's hand.

"How dare you!" Even having lost his mind, Havier attacked indiscriminately.

Andrew seriously doubted that even if the highest leader of the Warm Fire Commerce Association showed up now, Havier might still dare to lash out!

Lashing out was indeed possible.

Only he must face the corresponding consequences—

The plump woman, expressionless, not only snuffed the flame out with one hand but also, with her other thick, round hand, delivered a heavy slap directly to Havier's face!

"Hiss..." Andrew couldn't help but gasp.

Do you know what it feels like to be slapped by a plump auntie who weighs maybe over five hundred pounds yet is agile as a cat?

Andrew didn't know, nor did he want to.

Seeing Havier soaring through the air, spinning several times with a dazzling grace, he eventually crash-landed amidst a scattering of tables and chairs, twitched momentarily, and then fell silent.

He didn't lose consciousness upon hitting the ground but blacked out instantly when receiving that slap!

"..."

Andrew and Ivan exchanged glances, each seeing shock in the other's eyes, along with traces of "fear": This woman... is strong! Defeating Havier is one thing; the real point is that she extinguished Havier's flame barehanded—truly formidable.

Despite the shock and fear, Andrew secretly breathed a sigh of relief: The crisis seems indeed resolved.

Unexpectedly, it wasn't Sabye, Debbie, and the others who provided a real challenge and threat, but Havier who scared him into a cold sweat.

A brat is not scary, but a brat holding a nuclear launch switch is terrifying to the extreme!

Though the crisis is resolved, Andrew still harbors murderous intent: This damn crazed idiot, maybe look for a chance... to kill him?

Beside Andrew, Ivan stared at the mountainous woman, thinking that Sofia was quite plump too, but hers was more a blend of "robustness" and "voluptuousness," exactly Ivan's type.

What about this woman in front?

Ivan looked at her width, thickness, and how she was taller than him by a head, feeling overwhelming pressure based solely on her physique for the first time before a woman.

Both he and Andrew had a question they wanted to ask but didn't know how to start: Is this... Barbara's mother?

"Earlier, I subdued Sabye wanting to meet Barbara's mother, but somehow didn't succeed..." Andrew thought, "Instead, with Havier's commotion, I've forced Barbara's mother out?"

"Aunt Susan!"

Barbara called out.

Andrew inwardly sighed: Alright, not Barbara's mother.

"Aunt Susan."

Sabye, Debbie, and the others who had scattered earlier also returned.

No one dared to spare a glance at the sprawled Havier, each respectfully greeting the plump woman.

The woman called "Susan" snorted again: "A bunch of worthless ones! Even two outsiders are more responsible and committed than you! Who gave you the nerve to come back? Run, weren't you running fast just now? And you—"

Susan glared at the middle-aged man who had just been confronting Ivan. With a single look, she made the somewhat slender man's legs tremble. "Take Master Havier down. I've confiscated the 'artifact' the madam bestowed upon him. You and he are grounded for three months!"

"Alright, sure." The man chuckled bitterly, turned to haul Havier off the floor, and fled the scene.
