Over The World, Beyond Heaven

Chapter 347: Could You Be My First Friend?

Half an hour had passed...

After Zheng-Fu, Wang-Ke, and the three Great Elders had a conversation, a gatekeeper came and reported to them that a nobleman had come to meet with Zheng-Fu. Actually, Zheng-Fu knew who the noble was by sensing the current of energy.

"Heh, heh, heh! Looks like we need to put aside the conversation for now. I must excuse myself to meet with that nobleman. Now you guys should hurry up and get your people to pack up and prepare to move to In-See City," Zheng-Fu stood up and said after the guards finished reporting before telling Wang-Ke to pack his belongings and prepare to move to In-See City.

After coming out of the reception room, Zheng-Fu immediately went out to meet the nobleman. That nobleman was none other than the Second Prince Lu-Bei. Zheng-Fu had already thought that he would definitely come to see him, so he announced that he would be staying here.

Flap!!! Thump!!!

Zheng-Fu immediately got on the luxurious carriage that Lu-Bei was sitting in as he came out. Then he sat down in the empty opposite seat without saying anything, just staring at Lu-Bei.

"Did you already know that I would come to you?" Lu-Bei asked immediately as Zheng-Fu sat down and stared at him with a face that did not look surprised at all.

"I know Your Highness will definitely come to me because, from the last time, you must have something you'd like to discuss with me," Zheng-Fu nodded in response as he recounted his previous observations at the royal palace.

"That's right, Young Master Zheng-Fu... I have a lot of things that I don't understand, and I think you should be able to give me the answers," Lu-Bei still replied with a calm face, like a proud sage.

"What if I can't give you those answers?" Zheng-Fu asked back, a smile forming at the corner of his mouth.

"I'd only be disappointed that I misunderstood you."

Zheng-Fu shrugged and raised his eyebrows before saying, "I don't want to be anyone's expectation. And I don't want anyone to expect me either. So, no matter how you feel about me, I'm not very interested. What I'm interested in is only what I wish."

Although Lu-Bei's words were a bit touching, they did not work on Zheng-Fu, who was not interested in anything but what he wanted. And he was also able to respond sharply.

"I have studied many different science textbooks. But those books and knowledge were not enough to satisfy my curiosity. That makes me feel very bored. But one day, I met a man full of unpredictable mysteries. He makes me feel alive again," Lu-Bei said with an expression of admiration and passion, seriously looking at Zheng-Fu.

"Don't tell me you like me!?"

"Are you crazy? I'm not the one who likes a tree in the same forest. What I said was that I saw a new way of learning!" Upon hearing Zheng-Fu's words, Lu-Bei, who was showing an appreciative expression, immediately changed his expression, yelling a strong denial.

"Ha ha ha, I was joking. Don't be serious... But I don't mind if you like me because I like you too!" Zheng-Fu continued to tease Lu-Bei frantically. It was his personal habit of teasing others when he got the chance.

"Crazy... You've got to be crazy!!!"

"Are you confused!?" Lu-Bei's coldness had completely disappeared by now when he heard Zheng-Fu's words combined with the gestures shown to him.

"I'm not confused. I know exactly what my heart desires, and you... Your Highness, you are the one whom my heart seeks for. I've longed for someone like you for a long time!"

"Noooooo!!!"

Flap!!!

"What happened, Your Highness…? Aah!!!" Suddenly, the guards outside hurried to open the carriage door upon hearing Lu-Bei's groan. But when they opened the door, they encountered the scene that gave them goosebumps.

"I beg your pardon, sir. Let's just assume that I don't know and I haven't seen anything at all!!!"

Bang!!!

"Noooooooo, come and help me first!!!" When the guards closed the carriage door, Lu-Bei even cried out in sadness that his soldiers thought he was falling in love with a man.

"Ha ha ha, your face looks so funny right now. But it still looks better than when you're solemn like a lifeless person," Zheng-Fu suddenly stopped his actions before speaking up with a pleasant laugh.

"Huh! How is it better? You have made my people think that we are homosexuals. What am I going to do!?" Lu-Bei said, displeased with Zheng-Fu's actions, which had misled everyone by what had happened just now.

"Let it go! Whatever anyone thinks, let them think. We know very well what we are. Don't let anyone judge us. Our destiny can be customized if we are stronger and smarter than others," Zheng-Fu said with a serious expression. This caused Lu-Bei, who was about to yell, to shut up and be silent immediately.

"You talk like you can determine your own destiny?" Lu-Bei said with a look of disbelief.

"I don't know. I can't tell you about that, Your Highness, because the destiny of each human being is individual. But to say that one can determine one's own destiny is not always like that. So, we should always think of alternative ways. In case something unexpected happens, we can change it in time."

If anyone had listened to Zheng-Fu's words, they would have sounded like a farting sound that was nothing but a rotten stench. But to Lu-Bei, these words were the fuel that filled his desires.

"I understand your meaning, Young Master Zheng-Fu. If you can go forward, then you can go backward, or you can turn left or right to adjust it to make it right?" Lu-Bei said with an understanding look on his face and explained it in brief, easy-to-understand words.

"That's right, but... that you came to see me probably didn't want to just listen to these words? Does Your Highness have any other business?" Zheng-Fu knew that Lu-Bei had not come just to listen to him say this. So, he directly asked him what he wanted.

"Sigh... Talking about this makes me sad. I've studied many books on strategy and astronomy by famous masters throughout the realm and beyond. But I couldn't figure out which egg or chicken came first, eh! No, sorry, I'm just playing a joke. The real question is, how far apart are they between our Holy Ancient Region and the famous Hell region?

Do you know? (*-*)"

Ah!!!

Zheng-Fu was slightly shocked when he heard Lu-Bei's question because his question was also something Zheng-Fu wanted to know; how far apart the two continents were.

"I also don't know how far apart they are. But what I know is that it cannot travel by ordinary paths because the sea that divides the two continents is filled with many monster beasts that are stronger than we can imagine. And there are also many mysterious places that we don't even know about."

Zheng-Fu replied with a serious look on his face since what he knew was only what he had studied from textbooks as well. And he thought that Lu-Bei had known the same data as him.

"Yes, it is as you said. But I also want to go out and see with my own eyes what the outside world is like. I want to travel around the world and experience the places freely. But my destiny is to be a prince who has to stay and help this country and kingdom survive. So, I want to know if it's possible to determine our own destiny as you said!?"

Lu-Bei's face became gloomy as he thought of his invincible destiny. And it prevented him from exploring the world as he had hoped. So, he wanted to know if it was possible to set one's own destiny as Zheng-Fu said.

"Of course, I think there's a way to make your dream come true, but..." Zheng-Fu nodded in response before he stopped talking and left a moment to wait for Lu-Bei to ask.

"But what?" and Lu-Bei immediately asked out of curiosity.

"But will you accept it if this capital city vanishes!?"

Ah!!

Zheng-Fu's words and questions made Lu-Bei freeze in shock. Because what Zheng-Fu said was beyond Lu-Bei's mind.

"If you can't accept the facts of this matter, then forget it. You have to choose between your kingdom and your dream. And if you want both of them, you probably won't get anything because if you choose to travel, your cities and kingdom may fall. But if you choose the kingdom, you will not achieve your dream."

Zheng-Fu continued to elaborate on what he had said earlier, along with an example of the outcome of the selection. In fact, Zheng-Fu was able to advise Lu-Bei on something. But he did not want to tell him right now and let the Second Prince think for himself.

"If I choose both paths at the same time, I have to find a way to make it possible for me to do so without falling or losing anything. But to do that is very difficult. I can't do it alone. But, with this advice from you, I don't think of giving up. I would like to thank you very much for making me realize and understand new things."

Lu-Bei politely thanked Zheng-Fu and greatly admired him. With Zheng-Fu's few words, he understood what he should do if he wanted to run after his dream without hurting anyone.

"You don't have to thank me, Your Highness. I'm just telling the truth because I was like you before, so I understand your feelings," Zheng-Fu raised his hand and waved back and forth.

"Young Master Zheng-Fu, I don't like fighting. I rarely talk to anyone and have never felt any respect or interest in any luminary. But today, when I met you, I felt great admiration and respect, whether it be your decisions, gestures, or words. Therefore, I'd like to ask you, could you…"

"Be my first friend?" Lu-Bei said firmly and sincerely, with determined and honest eyes.
