School Beauty's Peerless Soldier

Chapter 270: Minimum of Ten Years Maximum of the Death Penalty

Thankfully, it wasn't long before his phone vibrated with a message, and as soon as the reply from Miaomiao popped up, Xu Fan hurriedly picked up his phone.

"Brother Qianfan, are you looking for me for something?"

Since she had to stream live in the evening, Miaomiao had been catching up on sleep in bed just now, fortunately, she wouldn't feel drowsy during the live stream.

Groggily opening her eyes at the moment, seeing the WeChat message from Xu Fan, she quickly replied to him.

"Nothing much, I just worried that you might be in trouble, so I sent a WeChat message to check on you."

Seeing Miaomiao's explanation on WeChat, Xu Fan breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed, Brother Yi had not made a move against Miaomiao yet; now, as Xu Fan's fingers tapped across the screen, he told her about the situation with Brother Yi.

"Be careful these next few days, and keep an eye out for any suspicious characters."

"Hehe, if only brother Qianfan would come and protect me~"

After giving Miaomiao a word of advice and seeing her message, Xu Fan shook his head with a mix of laughter and helplessness.

"Get some rest for now, and I'll see how things are tonight and maybe watch your livestream."

The simplest way to ensure that Miaomiao wouldn't run into this kind of trouble was to completely deal with Brother Yi, this troublesome issue.

After a brief chat with Miaomiao, Xu Fan then closed WeChat.

Earlier, from what the man with glasses had told him, Xu Fan had also gotten some information.

The Black Hat Detective Agency, which the man with glasses worked for, as well as Brother Yi, were both from Shanghai, and while Shanghai was not too far from Jinling, Xu Fan was currently in Jinling, and it was somewhat troublesome to deal with the two of them.

"Looks like I've got no choice but to seek him out..."

After much deliberation, Xu Fan had indeed found the best way to handle the trouble. After hesitating for a while, he logged into his main QQ account and within his short list of contacts, he found a dark avatar.

"Azure Dragon, get out here."

After sending the message, the dim avatar lit up the very next second!

"Boss! I've rolled out super fast!"

As one of White Crescent's four ace operatives, Azure Dragon was also known by another nickname, "Shadow."

Years ago, with just a computer, he had effortlessly hacked into America's military network core and, after humiliating those who tried to uncover his identity one by one, he nonchalantly took his leave.

Azure Dragon was indeed a legend in the hacking world, but as his big brother, Xu Fan knew all too well that this homebody guy was also a dimwit who practically spent twenty-four hours a day online.

True to form, that scoundrel replied to him with the speed of a lightning-fast retort.

Remembering Jiya's mention of Feng Huang a few days ago, Xu Fan didn't rush to discuss serious matters but instead asked about Feng Huang.

"How's Feng Huang doing now?"

"Ah, Boss, let's not talk about it; Feng Huang really misses you. If it weren't for all the White Crescent stuff weighing her down, she'd probably be scouring the world looking for you by now."

"Feng Huang's love for you, as a bystander, I can see it clear as day. Boss, did you get moved, planning to come back, and rekindle the old flame with her?"

Azure Dragon seemed eager to paint Feng Huang as a woman pining for her husband's return; reading the part about her wanting to search everywhere for him, Xu Fan felt a wave of goosebumps.

Luckily, he had the wit to leave White Crescent to her; otherwise, that wicked woman might indeed have chased him across the world seeking revenge.

"Tell her to give up on me and stop loving me," Xu Fan said. "I'm into women with bigger chests."

"Boss, are you sure? Feng Huang is just next door. If you need anything, I'll pass on the word right away," his subordinate offered.

"You dare utter half a word and see what happens!" Xu Fan threatened.

Learning that Feng Huang was right next to Azure Dragon, Xu Fan was so frightened he almost smashed his phone!

He was genuinely terrified of Feng Huang from the bottom of his heart.

This fear had followed him from his childhood all the way to the present!

Given Azure Dragon's capabilities, he could definitely find out Xu Fan's current location. What if that busybody Feng Huang discovered he was currently in contact with Azure Dragon?

Xu Fan was certain that woman would put a knife to Azure Dragon's throat and force him to reveal Xu Fan's whereabouts, then she'd abandon her duties with White Crescent and come straight back to Huaxia to settle the score!

"Hehe, boss, look at you getting all worked up. I was just joking with you…" his subordinate chuckled.

"We've been through tough times together," Xu Fan said. "So, what's the matter that brings you to me all of a sudden today?"

Now that Azure Dragon was on to serious business, Xu Fan took a breath and said, "I need you to dig up information on two people."

"One goes by the name Brother Yi, a popular broadcaster on Douyu. The other is the boss of the Black Hat Detective Agency. Get me their info now, immediately."

"Boss, relax, give me half an hour!" his subordinate assured him.

Even though Xu Fan was retired, in Azure Dragon's eyes, Xu Fan would always be his boss. After giving his assurance, his profile picture went dark.

Xu Fan had no doubts about Azure Dragon's abilities. A man who could hack into America's highest defense level networks and leave his mark was overqualified for digging up details on two civilians; it would be like using an anti-aircraft gun to kill a mosquito.

And indeed, before half an hour had passed, Azure Dragon's profile picture lit up once more.

"Hehe, boss, this Brother Yi guy has some pretty unique tastes, huh?" his subordinate teased.

"What's that saying you Huaxia people have? 'Ten year minimum sentence, up to the death penalty'?"

Looking at the information Azure Dragon sent, there was no doubt that he had found Brother Yi's details.

Snorting in response, Xu Fan asked, "So, what did you find out?"

"Brother Yi is quite the pervert; his computer is full of Dongying's special products with a collection that could be called a comprehensive guide to adult websites. His network defense is practically non-existent; I hacked in effortlessly," his subordinate reported.

"Not only does he enjoy watching that stuff, but he also likes to make his own. Guess what? This guy has a thing for little girls, going as far as to not spare even elementary school students. In Huaxia, he'd definitely face prison time, right?"

"Yeah, what about the Black Hat Detective Agency?" Xu Fan asked.

He had thought to ask Azure Dragon to look for any dirt on Brother Yi, but to his surprise, Azure Dragon had dug up such explosive information. Nodding, Xu Fan then inquired about the Black Hat Detective Agency.

"The Black Hat Detective Agency's a bit smarter than Brother Yi; they even had a network specialist set up a firewall. But to me, that was just kindergarten level stuff and I hacked into it easily," his subordinate boasted.

"Can you not show off?" Xu Fan retorted.

"Hehe, alright. The Black Hat Detective Agency isn't any better, involved in all sorts of illegal activities for profit, and worried about losing business, they've kept evidence of their clients' dealings, for future blackmail if needed," the subordinate explained.

"Of course, the evidence not only could be used to blackmail the clients they worked for but could also be leveraged against them. I believe the effect would be equally satisfying."

Having finished explaining, Azure Dragon sent over some of the incriminating evidence regarding Brother Yi and the Black Hat Detective Agency's illegal activities.

"Boss, what's the plan now? What do you want to do next?" he asked.
